  2. My unlce likes them a lot as well, that says a lot about their music too.
  3. The Teacher A bit like The Reader, but more fun. I've always had a secret fantasy for older women, and this movie pleases a lot with the lovely Angel Tompkins. I also loved the theme song of the movie
  4. Well, he only has three regular albums, right? There's a [cabbage]load of stuff released after his death, though. Are you eperienced?, Axis: Bold as love, Electric Ladyland are his studio albums, and the live project Band of Gypsys. Woodstock and BBC Sessions are essential as well. Or you could just get the compilation record Experience Hendrix which has got the most famous stuff on it. :)
  5. I love you to. :D We can't all like the same things, Jaerk. ;)
  6. I saw a preview of it on their MySpace, I'll have to check it out. I hear they get arrested? Yea, they get arrested. Their bus driver is brilliant, and their manager is hilarious. Those two alone justify getting it. ;)

    Musicals.

I love musicals, the movies at least. and more , more , girl hunting, , and there's so much more. A lot of people just watch stuff like the Sound of Music and then say they hate musicals, but the busby berkeley, vincente minnelli, gene kelly stuff etc. are among the best movies ever made.
  8. [yt]fkuOAY-S6OY[/yt] Brr. All those angry kids, and the even angrier fans that jump to it. It makes me cringe. [yt]Tu1wAP2Baco[/yt] This one is just as cringe worthy. And what about this one... [yt]e_LQU2-GOXY[/yt] Huuu. I can't stand that Vedder.
  9. Going back to the daft punk gig two years ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3Uc3BMd ... playnext=1 man, the opening of that gig has got to be one of the biggest party moments ever. WAAA. the moment they go from robot rock to oh yea. damn, it's so good. do you hear the crowd? fantastic.
  10. Yea, those are some good tracks, I also love the way the record opens with Genesis/Let there be light. The Party and DVNO are great too. Have you seen the documentary Justice Across the Universe? It's a good watch, with a lot of hilarious stuff, and since you must be a fan (looking at your sig) you shouldn't miss it.

    Saddest Song?

The Smiths - I know it's over Brr. Listening to this song is a very unpleasant experience. There are not many songs that do that with me. Great song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2e4V3Xh17w

    Musicals.

What kind of musicals? Movies, or the stage type of stuff?
  13. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Hallelujah This has got some hilarious lyrics. I left my house without my coat Something my nurse would not have allowed And I took the small roads out of town And I passed a cow and the cow was brown And my pyjamas clung to me like a shroud :') The song has got a hypnotic thing to it though, and a pretty great end. Some great word use, that really makes Cave unique. And I wish I also had a nurse that gave me hot cocoa.
  14. Good job, Das! A little while I ordered this set for five bucks.
  15. Nice list, Azvy! Some things I never heard of, but also a lot of things I recognize from conversations we had years ago. I remember when you discovered Ted Nugent and you urged me to download his entire discography (which I did : ) and couldn't stop listening to Cat Scratch Fever. You also tried Enslavement of Beauty on me, that wasn't much of a succes though. :P And I think it was with you, we were both starting to listen to Thin Lizzy and I borrowed a greatest hits record from work, and we listened to it together (if you know what I mean). We still have that same copy of the record. :P Surprised about all the indie-picks by the way! Up untill two days ago I never knew you listened to that kind of stuff (Vampire Weekend excluded). And a little blues-tip I'm almost certain you'll enjoy: Julian Sas. He's big, hairy and from Holland. Very good on the guitar, and good live shows. (best part starts at third minute) and . What's also surprising is the lack of Hendrix so far, especially with two guys who've had a passion for guitar as long as I know them.
  16. What's up with nightmare and pop-references? First Metallica has got All Nightmare Long and now Dream Theater comes with A Nightmare to Remember. Very creative, guys.
  17. [yt]aS6-b7CONDI[/yt] I always start grinning when I hear this song, I have no control over it. I like this version better, makes me grin even more. [yt]9FtuV3xMrN0[/yt] I remember when I was at work a while ago, and this song came on when I was helping an older lady, haha. First she was a little annoyed because she thought I was laughing at her, when explaning she had to laugh too. A pretty strange encounter.
  18. 'like' is a big word, I can hear it though. That Desperado clip, brr. Who can listen to that stuff? Besides, they only care for the money. Why would you make something together when you hate eachother as much as they do.
  19. [yt]UaYHRx9-v2M[/yt] Rangeor saw a movie titled Chain Reaction, and I had to think of this song.
