Star Trek I really liked it. Very action packed, and the second heroic act even more heroic than the one before. I got a thing for that kind of stuff. Spock was pretty good as well.

Yea, it's pretty hard to get all the Ray stuff. The box thing is because he's released trough so many different studios (warner, universal, sony, fox, mgm and some independants). It still makes me wonder why there's only a Dutch release of Johnny Guitar. Or why Party Girl has only been released in France. While he's one of the greatest American film makers ever, and especially Johnny Guitar is one of the best films ever made. Bigger Than Life got an ecellent BFI Release by the way. So did The Savage Innocents on Masters of Cinema, which is now OOP, maybe you can get it for nice price 2nd hand. Sumpta: A Woman Under the Influence. :worship: Excellent pick!

I'll take an oily-skinned, muscled Greek over a geek at any given time of the day though. Especially if he watches Battlestar Galactica. Greeks are hairy, though. Pff. I saw this title five or six times, and this is the first time I notice that it says Geek instead of Greek. I already thought it was such a strange thing to notice, that being Greek is now cool in today's pop culture. :')

God, Barca was poor today. Glad they won though, for some reason I can't stand Chelsea. And Barca has got my sympathies. Dani Alves was too poor for words. I don't think I caught him doing something good today.

If you think that it's not a good idea for a movie that's getting a 'big' release then you just don't want to understand it. How can the ideas ever reach the audience they're aimed at when they (the adience) don't get to see them?!

:') Ai no corrida (In the Realm of the Senses) This movie is based on the story of Japanese folklore heroin Sada Abe. A woman who (accidently) killed her husband when they were having sex. She loved the part of his body that connected them so much, that she cut it off and kept it with her untill she was arrested. This movie is known as the first 'hardcore porn' movie made. At the time of it's release it was a controversial movie, and it stil is, since it's still banned in Japan (in it's complete form). I don't think that this is a porno film. A porno film doesn't make you care about the characters that are in them. A porno film gives you sex, nothing else. This is a very funny, beautiful and exciting movie. Not because it is a sex film, because this film shows two people who are very deeply in love with eachother, and it does that in a unique and very powerful way.

Yea, who knows what will happen if you have to think a little bit. This was a cheap independent film shown at filmfestivals and art-houses, but because of that it also misses the audience the movie is directed at. So it's only good that Haneke got the chance to make a remake that hit theaters everywhere.

Here's an amazon review that describes how this stuff goes live (this is a live record).
