  1. I'm not going to read or hear anything about it. I will completely surprised when I am going to see it soon. Can't wait. Bond is a guilty pleasure.
  2. Strange Invaders/Invadors from Mars (80s vrsion)
  3. I see that you're appreciating the Tarkovsky movies, Adio. I don't know if you want to do further reading on them, but if you are curious on Tarkovsky's approach to filmmaking and his view on art in general I highly recommend his book/diary Sculpting in Time.
  4. Picture of me and my brother eating spare-ribs at the party of my fathers work. I don't know why I always wear that t-shirt on my pictures. It looks like I've got nothing else. Anyway. Me with my brother (I'm on the right). I'm not fifteen.
  5. Jumper Pff. Tropic Thunder Oh, this was really funny. It's a lot of nonsense. But good nonsense. It's completely over the top from the start on and it just keeps getting stranger. How do they make this up? Had a great night at the cinema. Lots of laughs. :
  6. Oh, thanks for the tip. the youtube clip sounds cool, so I will check out that record. Finally a recommendation outside of the usual stuff. :) If you've got the time you should try listenig to Alphonze Mouzon. Mind Transplant is a great record. Don't know if you're really into fusion though? Here's the opening track of the record. By the way, did you already hear Bonnie 'prince' Billy's record I See a Darkness? It's not so country like and it's just brilliant, one song better than the other. It is a bit depressing, although Oldhams A-typical sense of humor comes trough at some parts. His fragile vocals, the not so happy lyrics and his aproach to music it all fits perfectly. I'm hooked upon it.
  7. Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I See A Darkness Johnny Cash covered this on one of his American Recordings, but his version doesn't even come close to the original. Well, you're my friend, that's what you told me And can you see what's inside of me Many times we've been out drinking And many times we've shared our thoughts But did you ever, ever notice, the kind of thoughts I got Well you know I have a love, a love for everyone I know And you know I have a drive to live I won't let go But can you see it's opposition, comes arising up sometimes That it's dreadful antiposition, comes blacking in my mind And then I see a darkness.
  8. Check out Cage (the rapper, record: movies for the blind) and Smut Peddlers (album: porn again).
  9. Maybe they expect the milking to be done by hand. Hmm. Yum. Breasts. :
  10. I play the old pokemon games on it and of course....Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga.
  11. I always thought of you as an Offspring lover, Adio.
  12. Although the last Britney Spears record isn't that bad, Christina Aguilera is actually pretty good and U2 did make one or two good albums, I wonder what they are doing on a 'best act ever' kind of thing. Not to speak of Green Day and...Tokio Hotel. The fact that Tokio Hotel is on this shortlist really makes me raise an eyebrow. I mean. Tokio Hotel. Tokio Hotel Tokio Hotel.... It's good that they're not dusting off oldies like Pink Floyd, Quuen, the Eagles and the Rolling Stones. But still. They could've chosen something better from the last twenty years.
  13. Next time if you want to know if Runescapeloser22 listens to something (or not) it might be better to PM him by the way.
  14. I don't think PETA seriously wants this. They just want media coverage, I guess.
  15. John Zorn - Six Litanies for Heliogabalus Now Moonchild and Astronome.
  16. Ooh. Just got in my new Naked City record, and I just enjoyed that as well. As you said, pretty intense, that Zorn. :) Last.fm tags for Naked City: "avant-garde", "experimental", "jazz", "grindcore", "noise". I am so definitely checking them out. Any recommendations as for an album to start with, if I may ask? I'm afraid I am relatively unknown in the John Zorn universe as well. Till a month ago I never listened to any of his side projects. So, I can only recommend this first album by Naked City, which is selftitled. :) Within a week or two I will also receive the first record of his Masada project, really curious how that sounds as well.
  17. Ooh. Just got in my new Naked City record, and I just enjoyed that as well. As you said, pretty intense, that Zorn. :)
  18. Tropa de Elite, or the t.v. series Cidade dos Homens, they made a movie out of the series too, if I am correct. You could also check out the Italian Goodfellas Romanzo Criminale. :)
  19. Meh, nevermind. Got nothing useful to contribute.
  20. Yuck, Janis Joplin. What about Kim Gordon, Tanya Donelly, Kristin Hersh or Kim Deal? Now these chicks rock. Did I forgot Tarja Turunen? I've got nothing to say about the band, since I never heard of them. But if I were you I would be open minded about the chick. Why start with a negative image when you don't even know what she is about.
  21. Mr. Arkadin Orson Welles. What an incredible start this movie has. Fantastic black and white, crazy angles to describe the state in which the characters are (better known as the "Dutch Angle"). For the rest there is a lot to enjoy as well. The crazy characters, the incredible look of the entire opening, and of course the mysterie that not only counts for the story inside the movie, but also outside. I've seen the Corrinth version, but there are two other versions of this movie, and I'm going to see them later this week. One Hour With You The last Musical that Lubitsch did for Paramount, and what an excellent one. Originally this movie was planned to be made by Cuckor, and Lubitsch being the assiststant director for this movie (since he had other projects going on), but after reading more about the movie he slowly took over control and re-wrote it as a remake of his silent comedy the Marriage Circle. So, it's Lubtisch in charge now, with Cuckor as an assitstant director ( :D ). And we get what we expect. Nearly every word said or sung in this movie can be interpreted in two ways. The clean way and the dirty way. Also the way that it presents it subject is unique. Never have I seen adultery presented in such cynic but at the same time light way, it's incredible. And only Lubitsch could do this. The actors in the movie are also fantastic, especially Maurice Chevalier, with his marvelous accent. A must see for fans of pre-code Hollywood and especially the Lubitsch lovers among us. :)
  22. I use this art of noise avatar that you see (the little mask). But the color of the background doesn't really look good on the forums. I don't know how to make things transparant, so could somebody please do this for me? You'd make me a very happy man. :) Thanks in forward!

    Saw 5

And even then they will keep doing it with the fantastic direct-to-dvd system. :D
