  1. That song you gave is appealing to me (nice clip as well). When I got to the city later this afternoon I will see if I can listen to some more of their music there. :) Thanks. Seems to be a bit lame to recommend you something again, but why not. Einstürzende Neubateun. Experimental/Industrial band from Germany. Really popular during the eighties, they're still releasing records (Alles Wieder Offen is their last one). The early materials is harder, more chaotic. Their new stuff is more 'mature' and calmer. But when you pass fifties that only seems natural. From their earlier records I can really recommend Haus der Lüge and Halber Mensch, their last album Alles Wieder Offen is great too. And if you can find live work that is great too. Their singer, Blixa Bargeld, also was a guitarist for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Here is a song from their last record, more calm. Nagorny Karabach There's also translation of the lyrics in the video.
  2. :( :o  http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7QPMvj_xejg He's died, on september the second. Guys. This is bad, who's going to do the voiceover for trailers now.
  3. Paranoid Park A friend gave me this for my birthday. So. I watched it monday evening. I was kind of tired, and for one of the first times that added to the 'experience'. Actually there was no real experience. I just kept my eyes open at the screen. The movie seemed to be full of gimmicks. I understand the idea behind it, but it just didn't work. Normally that would annoy me to death, but since I was so tired I couldn't be bothered. There are some good scenes as well, and I wouldn't call this a bad movie. More an experiment that didn't work out as it was suposed to be. Or something like that, in my eyes. Still, if you've always appreciated Van Sant's work, you can safely get this.
  4. That's just as shallow, if you want to look at it that way. Instead of always being negative toward eachother, maybe you guys could be a little friendlier toward eachother. Going again tonight, can't wait. I'm really enjoying the fitness, but that's probably because I'm new to it all. : I'm always going at least two times a week, but I try to go three. Monday evening, wednesday evening and friday saturyday or sunday morning.
  5. Bernard Parmegiani http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=aulXlb8Dt24 http://www.last.fm/music/Bernard+Parmegiani
  6. Radio, by the Corrs? It's not exactly from the late eighties early nineties though. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=w6jSfWXZi ... re=related
  7. Hehe. I remember seeing the first one in cinema. I was about 12 years old, and I was with my parents. I was sitting next to my mom and with certain scenes I got a hard one. hehe.
  8. So, my test month for eleven euro is now done, and last friday I drew a contract with the gym. One year, and I can swim and fitness as much as I like. Currently my programme is like this: Bike Constant Power: 10 Minutes on level 3,5,6,7 Chesh Push: 50KG 2x12 Some other arm machine, forgot the name :'):60 KG 2x12 Shoulder Press: 20 KG (man, this one is heavy!) Glidex XT: 10 minutes on level 4 Total Abdominal: 50 KG 3x15 Abdominal Crunch: 35 KG 3x15 Rotary Toroso: 25 KG 6x15 Step machine (forgot it's name): 10 minutes level 5 Arm Curl: 22.5 KG 2x12 Leg Push: 90KG 2x12 Lower Back: 25KG 2x12 Rowing/Crosstrainer: 10 minutes Bike: 5 minutes After the training, we usually go to the pool, and swim for 20 minutes to half an hour. We can't do much lanes after the fitness though, most of the time we get out of the pool after 20/25 lanes. I don't really want to get all muscled up or something. Just like to get in shape a bit more. Improve my condition, lose my beer belly (I also stopped drinking beer during the week! Only on thursday and in weekends!) and get a little more muscle. To what the person above me says, I don't think it's good to go beyond a pain limit. You need to set the bar so that you can just take it, that you have to give everything to get that last press. If you are constantly training above your level I would think that you get injuries faster.
  9. Haha, that was pretty funny. Love the one where he is making excuses to his wife. hehe.
  10. Since you have never (since Lie Down in the Light) enjoyed a country record, I will recommend you another country record. : Ry Cooder, with the second album of his LA trilogy, My Name is Buddy
  11. Between Last Shadow Puppets and Sigur Rós I will also be seeing Lykke Li. :)
  12. There are not much things that are as depressing as my sweet 16. The people just seem so incredibly spoiled and generally stupid in some kind of way. One time I saw an episode, it had a father in it who thought he could get Beyonce to preform on his daugher her birthday party. That is unbelievable. But on the other side. Why should we judge these people? If they enjoy these things why not let them. Looking down on other people isn't really a good thing. I agree that it's a bit dubious though. The parties. My sixteenth birthday party was pretty cool, I must say. I did it with two friends, who also became sixteen. We rented a beer pump, bought a lot of beer, and other drinks. We put a stereo in the garden, we drank, and made a lot of noise. And it ended with about 75% of the guests throwing up in the gutter. What a succes.
  13. I never was interested with them. For some reason they don't really sound inviting or something, so I'm not curious to hear more material. Sorry
  14. If you are wondering that probably not.
  15. The normal, boring kind of biscuits are best for dunking.
  16. I don't know why everybody is coming up with these extreme situations. It's only logical that you would slap a girl when she would attack you with a silver crucifix. I'd even slap my grandmother if I was in a situation like that.
  17. My parents gave me the following CD's for my birthday:
  18. And when you realize I'm right, you just post some BS. Nice. If you think that you are right go ahead, it doesn't really interest me what or how you think.
  19. Haha, no I'm sorry. :P I was in France, Belves to be precise. @Abelmisi: yea, we had a lot of fun. Can't wait till next year.
  20. For Intriguing I would say, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy. http://www.last.fm/music/Bonnie+%27Prince%27+Billy He's been making music since the early nineties, but under different names. So, here is what I can recommend: Palace Music - Viva Last Blues Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I see a Darkness Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - the Letting Go What a genius he is.
  21. Sufjan Stevens - John Wayne Gacy Jr Man, I'm really getting back into Sufjan.
