  1. I must admit I'm starting to lean towards Duke Freedom's opinion it makes more sence then my own - and I also remember before he was banned had possibly the largest knowledge of merchanting ever  Maybe I was just ignorant before :
  2. Well, if I had lots of money I would do this now that I think about it: Get a guy 60-60-60 stats with unranked range and mage and prayer. Then stake a mage with weapons off (obvious hes gonna win, eh?) all my money and have him 4x me because it's so obvious he's gonna win. Then just put range up to 99 and own him =]
  3. Well 3rd age is like any new item, costs a lot at first and as SUPPLY is greater and the DEMAND lesser, the price will go down. You do remember when whips were over 30m? And mauls 10m? I saw a dragon 2h go for 50million, and dragon chains used to be in upper 30s (probably higher I just don't remember). Sure, 3rd age will be slower to lower in price because of it's rarity but it will eventually go down a lot. Just give it time.
  4. When you could cut yews and have an intelligent conversation with the people around you. Now they are either miniclipers so full of themselves for just getting 60 wcing or they are autoers :notalk: That's what I miss the most. But I also remember when people used to give me masks as presents and I would hand them out to people just for being nice... and maybe they would give me something in return, because that's how the community was. People were friendly! But that was when masks were less then 100k..... which didn't last long.
  5. Would'nt it be more like 1 or 2gp? :-k sorry if somebody else already said it.. but they sell for 87gp in the general store :-w
  6. Yes, it deserves lots of respect. It's the easiest of the capes but still a great achievement. It especially deserves respect if you don't have those skills, and if you do have those skills I would expect you to respect it because you know how hard it is.
  7. Right when some holiday event came that you needed a spade for-i forget which one. Well I had just cleaned my bank and was doing a TT. EVERYBODY wanted a spade all the spawns were full of people, the one in draynor, falador, I can't think of any more right now. And the least people would sell for was like 30k -.-
  8. I've never seen one that said 10 minutes, it's a whole different scenario and I was curious as to other people's opinions. Is there something wrong with it? If there was more then 1 of this topic it would be reported by now.
  9. SOO many whips are coming in, they will never rise (that much) again I think. Also A LOT of barrows items are coming in those will always be up and down due to merchanting but nothing to big. And basic material costs have changed LOTS in the years. That's due mostly to autoers supplying endless yews, ess, things like that but still lots of new players that aren't autoers bring in a lot of things. And people do buy arrows constantly for more then they can fletch them for or buy from a shop. Bronze arrows cost 6gp in the range shop yet I see people buying up to 100k bronze arrows for 10 gp each. And yet you are wrong again... not all skillers are on budgets. Some people are just amazingly rich and will always be going for 99 crafting no matter what they lose on hides and such. :-k
  10. Once I buried bones and tried to log out, but didn't notice a zombie (or shade, maybe swarm, maybe even an evil chicken?) had showed up. So I don't wait for the screen to change to the login page and hit world select and went in another world. I logged in and was at low health :-s . (yes i logged out at full) So that means that after a minute or so it automatically logs you out if you go to another screen :!:
  11. Jump for Joy ftw
  12. I only posted it because lots of people complain, so they obviously don't know it.
  13. have any skill at 99 for 10 minutes before it going back to normal, what would you choose. I would choose construction so I could get a demonic throne real quick \
  14. The one thing I don't particularly like about these forums is that the post to view ratio is always around 1:30
  15. I say high-alchinng is it's own skill but since you need 55 mage to do it you have to get that through lamps! No. What about crifing? It's crafting combined with smithing, and I just made it up in the past 5 seconds! You need metal bars, but you dont use a hammer you use a chisel! No. I have bad ideas :XD:
  16. haha I don't blame merchanters for anything. People get annoyed because they can raise/lower prices, but that's like accusing a miner of lowering the price of iron by bringing more into ciruclation. It's just a completly stupid argument.
  17. Note: I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m keeping the merchanting I talk about f2p, as I do have a strong knowledge of the p2p market as well I think it is easier to talk about just f2p, p2p is A LOT more. For the most part, those who don't own rares have a strongly dislike for them. Mostly they are jealous of other players̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ wealth, or want the attention lots of rare-owners receive. Lots of people say it has also ruined the economy. Sure, it has had some negative effects to the economy-I'm not going to argue against that. But I ask just for the next few minutes you take a new look on this matter and take the time to post your opinion. Now, what has made rares cost so much? Merchanting. Supply and demand. There is no supply, and high demand. So the merchanters pick them up and because there is no supply, take the opportunity to raise the price and sell it to somebody else. Without rares what would the richest of players merchant? Arrows, runes, armor, food, weapons, stuff that is always getting circulated through the market. Somebody pks full rune and is desperate for cash so sells it quick, somebody buys it then dies in the wild and now somebody else has it. It keeps going through and through. Yes, most of this circulation is made from merchanters. But just imagine if all those rich players had no rares to merchant. Now the ever-growing rune market has a new batch of people, buying up all they can for the lowest possible price. Ever seen world 1 varrock east side of the west bank? With the current number of people merchanting the screen is FILLED with yellow, white, green, purple, red text all saying "BUYING all rune scimitars 23k each" "BUYING full runes 175k per" "BUYING rune plates 50k each". Basically it's a disaster. Same with the stairs inside the bank for runes, and the range shop for arrows. To the south or west of bank, sometimes the easterly bank for food. It's horrible. The only people who are selling are the merchanters who are selling 10% higher then what all the merchanters are willing to pay. Now you take away rares and all those merchanters come into this market. YIKES! Remember, the price depends on supply and demand. If the supply stays the same, and the demand skyrockets, the price goes up as well. So now because so many people are buying under priced it's impossible to buy for that much, so gradually people start buying for more and more, each time selling for more then that. It keeps going up and up, until there is a steady price for all armor, runes, arrows, food, etc. This price will be MUCH HIGHER. Who wants to be paying an extra 100k for their full rune every time they lose it, an extra 15gp per chaos rune while training and 10gp per bronze arrow when they feel like going for that nice 70 ranged. And when you want to use your new rune armor, runes, and arrows while training and you need food-you're now paying an extra 100gp per lobster. Seeing as those who currently own rares are most likely making major cash from it, they have NO reason to rant about rares messing up the economy. But those who don't own rares still use armor, runes, arrows, and food. Not having a rare takes no effect on them. Rares being in existence makes life a lot cheaper for them! So I say stop complaining. It does you no good \ p.s. I haven't written a post in A LONG TIME so sorry if I did something wrong : I just had a sudden urge to post this. It was like a light bulb went off in my head saying "hey rares might not be that bad! Go write a big topic about it!" :-s hahaha I'm willing to argue my point, if anybody sees something wrong with this. I purposely picked these items that people will always use everyday so that I won't get useless responses like "haha and what happens when so many people merchant it that nobody buys it and the price goes wicked low hahaha I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m smarter then you" It would be nice to see all responses have a positive effect on the post. If you're going to sound like an idiot, just don't post. I think it's obvious, but recently lots of people have been proving me wrong! Thanks tip.it! If you actually read all this, thank you. If you took the time to read all that and don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t respond, what̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s going on with you! Phew just did a word count and its 785 words! sorry about the size
  18. My iTunes library>any RS song EVER. I'm sorry #-o their music is just.. :-w
  19. Lost all of my accounts causing me to quit :wall: Oh wait, that was the best thing =D>
  20. You think RS runs on it's own? They still make many millions a year, but it's not even close to 60. Those servers are DARN expensive.
  21. 1) Account sharing 2) Yes 3) Yes, what had happened is some friend got onto my account (i swear i didn't tell him the pass) then when a friend said hi to me he said it wasn't me it was my friend and he reported me. -This was really bad because then I told Jagex it wasn't me and when you do that your account is always INSTANTLY locked and I could never unlock it as they would either not reply to me or give me automated replies. Eventually they just changed it from locked to banned after seeing that obviously me and somebody I knew had been on my account, and they took that as account sharing. :wall: That actually made me quit RuneScape. So I guess it was good in the long run.
  22. No, that's not the problem at all. For lvl 126 you need: 99 attack (13m exp) 99 strength (26m exp) 99 defence (39m exp) 99 hitpoints (52m exp) 98 prayer (63.5ishm exp) And since you need double the exp it would take 127m exp to waste.. but since you can only gain 100k per week it would take... 635 weeks, or over 12 years. :anxious:
  23. Ooops, forgot to say that I support!
  24. rangers complain about being underpowered yet JaGex only allows meleers to benefit more than anyone else still. They can't complain after this :P When dont rangers complain, they always complain! No matter how much you give people they will always want more. I mean they just got salamanders, chinchompas, c'bows, composition bows, blessed dragon hide armour, and still you say range is underpowered/jagex only gives benefits to meleers. Hunter was focused entirely on improving the range skill, I know because I wrote up the list of updates to go in other guides on Tip.It No support I'm sorry, but salamanders aren't very practical for efficient training, chinchompas are awesome in CERTAIN places, c'bows and comp bows stink, and blessed dragon armor has same stats as black dhide i thought? If you count blessed dhide as an advantadge to rangers then you ahve to count all black (t)/(g), addy (t)/(g), rune (t)/(g) armor, black (h) helms, addy (h) helms, rune (h) helms, and guthix, zammy, sara, gilded... And then mages have (t) and (g) robes also.
