  1. If you're going to solo tribrid you need to go in the order of supreme, rex, prime repeat. Use rapid style. Tanking supreme is feasible but its not efficient or safe, protection prayers don't drain very fast compared to boosting prayers anyway.
  2. 1. If using a rune crossbow, supreme will attack you if you are at max distance and he is one square behind prime. If you are using karils or crystal he will attack you when he is either on top of prime or one square towards you, not sure which one. Rex wont attack you unless you are not on the northern edge. When you auto-approach to range prime, your character almost always moves one square too far forward. Get really far away from prime, click attack, then move one diagonal square backwards and click attack again, that is your max range. Honestly for anyone who is solo hybing, I feel bad for them if they aren't using a rune crossbow here. The extra distance is the only way to to be in one of the guaranteed no-pull spots when prime isn't in a sweet-spot, not to mention karils kills prime way faster and lets you wear a prayer boosting cape. 2. I didn't look at your stats, but just pray range and don't use piety even if you're solo hybing. If you are 90-90 melees or lower, you'll probably need piety on a lot of the time, especially if you are on a higher pot world. Otherwise just melee supreme and turn on piety if the kill is taking noticeably long. I have a wrist watch that I set primes spawntime to, and it just counts down to let me know when he's spawning, really handy. Most people don't do that of course, you can just guess when he's about to spawn and turn mage protect on, or you can do some other things such as count attack turns, which would also help you decide whether or not you'll need piety for the current kill. 3. With unicorn and constantly have a protection prayer on (which hybs do) they're still trivial. For a mage with unicorn they are a bit tougher but unicorn maging was trivial to begin with.
  3. Don't use battle robes, you're going to need all the defence bonuses you can get with 89 defence and yak. Use yak with guthans and EE. Bring one antipoison++ per yak pouch. Use fire surge with staff of light. Bring 2 brews per one restore, you don't need to fill your whole yak with them if you don't want, I'd say 20 brews and 10 restores total is more than enough for 4+ hours, especially if you are up to speed with guthan healing. If you hate using guthans you can use full verac + soul wars cape and leave mage prayer on, bring like 8 brews, 8 rests and load the rest up with prayer potions. This method is more expensive but requires far less attention. Personally I think maging rex is really boring when you just stand there waiting for the next spawn so I always use guthans now. Edit: If you decide to go the verac route I have a suggestion in mind with your stats. I will test this some day, but I really want to try a solo hybrid rex/prime. Use the full verac setup, bring karil's top and crossbow. When Rex is up lure him to the safespot near prime, when he is dead, fire away at prime, when rex spawns again grab him and kill. Finish off prime, telegrab tally/axes/rings/bones (if you have yak, hides too if you don't mind). With this method you can probably get 1 prime kill per 2 rex without sacrificing rex killing speed and without having to worry about pulling prime.
  4. No, it quickly makes two jumps. Halving the distance doesn't work because pressing 5 too quickly will cause me to click somewhere in the middle of the jumps. Something I've noticed about the behavior that doesn't seem quite right is that when moving the mouse around, it seems to act without repeat delay. If I remember correctly, holding a directional button down should take a second before it starts to constantly jump. In my case, the second I hold a key down, it instantly starts spamming the jumps. If I'm very careful about it, I can get the mouse to jump only one space, but the common key press is usually 2 jumps.
  5. Of course I'm holding down control, that has nothing to do with the problem. If I'm missing something, please elaborate.
  6. I have used mousekeys many times without trouble until now. It was working perfectly fine before I took a 3 month or so break from runescape and now when I use it, any direction I move, the mouse acts as if I press the key twice. I have not made any changes to my mouse or keyboard settings to my knowledge, and I have fiddled with things such as repeat delay in the keyboard settings and enhance pointer precision in the mouse settings without any success. Pressing the 5 key over an icon on my desktop does not open the folder like the plus (double click) key does, so this problem seems to be limited to the directional arrows. 7. Here is what I take for a 2 hour trip. Replace the wolper scrolls/pouches with unicorn of course. I summoned one as soon as I reached the DK lair, if you want to stay for 4+ hours remove 4 brews and add 2 pouches, 2 super anti++. Prime equipment is not needed if you're going with a team. 8. Always do zammy. Sara mages are crowded, have higher defence, and aren't even that easy to kill anymore without taking damage (since they changed the ai of the zammy minions).
  9. If you don't want to buy vestments you can use a zammy book for 10 minutes then switch to your rune defender.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/user/iXiR3d3mpt1oniXi#p/u/10/LqZ8paq0XEM No timer, no before and after nothing to prove he got 42k/hour. That room is horrible as striker can easily force you to run from 1 side to the other. That guys videos are pretty bad too, just the fire giant one I mean comeon use the titan scrolls with the slayer helm and use a special weapon. Its good exp nonetheless. I got 120k/h melee exp there on task with piety, 90-90 att/str, no extremes.
  11. Yes the amulet will provide over, however Nech's are demons and the amulet therefore doesn't work on them. In all cases where this scenario applies it is better to wear a fury and slayer helmet than it is to wear salve + slayer helm. I would probably wear salve if all you had was a glory though.
  12. I was able to line up the healers using this method. [hide=pic][/hide]
  13. I used both guides when chinning for 99 and I can assure you they both have a lot of great info, read both.
  14. Concerning herb cleaning: You actually spam both the 5 and + key on your keyboard for best results. I do not recommend herb cleaning for more than an hour a day and if you start feeling any pain you shouldn't do it at all. Spamming keys is a very easy way to cause repetitive strain injury, although it may sound silly, a lot of warrior tanks in world of warcraft have developed this problem because their gameplay is so key-spam heavy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repetitive_strain_injury
  15. I point you in the direction of Grimy's calculators. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tzkP4MqjG7mX6T3irn6P7ew&output=html Note that the xp rates are basically as fast as you can be and may not match your speed. I would buy magic long (u) and string them for .43 gp/xp If they are buyable and you are willing to fork over extra cash for double the exp you can do rune darts for 2.29 gp/xp.
  16. You can still kill them there as long as you use prayer =). You will still need your slayer helm. When on task, I believe it's better to use a fury/glory instead of a salve (e), because the necklace only gives an additional 5% over the helmet. Negative, a nosepeg will suffice. [hide=pic][/hide]
  17. You can still kill them there as long as you use prayer =).
  18. This. The 5% doesn't warrant getting rid of the attack, strength and prayer bonuses. My max hit is 39 with either setup, its fair to assume the attack bonuses are equal to or close to equal as well. So with the fury you're getting an extra 2 prayer bonus and the defence bonus if you chose not to prayer.
  19. Use salamander + ice barrage with full guthans and ahrim's top. Throw on the guthan's plate for kc/healing/karil. Bring super sets and dds/defender/whip for karil/kc. Pray against karil and ahrim, use range against ahrim, I recommend karil's crossbow. Check to see if Karil is your tunnel first. Pray range, search the tomb and run out. If he is there use your super set and go back down. Karil: Piety + Range Prayer - DDS spec and whip. If Karil is your tunnel proceed to Ahrim. Ahrim: If you have leftover prayer go to ahrim next. You will have leftover prayer if you kill Karil in 4 DDS specs and 1 Whip attack or less. Throw on mage prayer and check if Ahrim is there, if he is then sip another dose and kill him. If he is your tunnel proceed to dharok. If you don't have any leftover prayer proceed to verac, torag or guthan, then dharok if none of those were your tunnel. Dharok: If you have leftover prayer use protect melee for as long as you can, then use ice barrage and sidestep->kill. You can get in 4 attacks before the first prayer drain occurs, so enter quickly, turn on protect melee, attack 4 times then ice barrage. If you don't have any leftover prayer ice barrage right away and attack six times. After six attacks run behind the tomb, wait one attack turn and refreeze him, use ice blitz instead of barrage if he is less than half hp. Guthan, Torag, Verac: Use one ice barrage, sidestep and kill. Do not use 2 ice barrages unless your hp warrants it. If you for whatever reason have prayer for these brothers, such as your first run where you start at 70 prayer, go to guthan first. When in the tunnels, equip full guthans while you run through. Ignore all brothers, do not heal with guthans unless you cannot kill your last brother with your current hp. Kill the last brother in the chest room, utilizing the torches in the same manner is the tomb if dharok is your tunnel brother. Once you are done kill 3 additional monsters with guthans to heal up, for a total kill count of 9. If you need to kill more to heal up feel free to do so. Do NOT kill more than 3 additional monsters if you don't need the hp, it is a waste of time. By the way you will find opening the puzzle door is a pain. When clicking in between being attacked, its not about how fast you click the answer to the puzzle. It is entirely about when you clicked the door, in relation to the mob attacking you. For example: A rat attacks you and 1 second later you click on the door. You click the answer to the puzzle in .5 seconds. The mechanism fails does not unlock. A rat attacks you and .5 seconds later you click the door. You click the answer to the puzzle in 1 second. The mechanism unlocks. It is entirely about timing clicking the door so that you click on the door just barely, barely after you receive an attack. If you do it correctly you can be really slow at solving the puzzle and still unlock the door sucessfully. With this method I average a 6 to 6 and a half minute chest, about 10 chests per hour and 12 chests per trip. The inventory could be altered for a 16 chest trip but I like to bring placeholders. By the way my inventory looks like this: [hide=Hi I'm a picture] Replace the Karil's coif with a super attack, and a super strength pot below that. In other words 3 super sets, 6 prayer potions and the rest is gear/placeholders. Should use 1 super set dose and 2 prayer potion doses per trip. Oh and the gear you can't see me wearing is full guthans, fire cape, berserker ring, dragon boots, amulet of fury. I wear all that melee crap because I have ahrim's top, if you don't want to buy one which I highly highly highly suggest you do, wear a farseer ring, mystic boots and god cape instead. [/hide] Well that's about it for my method. Sorry if my explanations are very incoherent it's 4:30 in the morning and I'm very much half asleep. I planned on making a video guide for this but that's on hold for a while.
  20. Its only real notable use is maging rex, which its the best spell to cast there. Some other "fun" places people use it are barrows, mithril dragons and I've heard of people maging TDs when going with some fun teams, I imagine it would be "good" for that. And yes the max would be 37.
  21. Sorry to hijack your thread, but what's with the ancient staff? I've been seeing people use these a lot lately and always wondered why. I have tested all of the mentioned weapons and ancient staff is simply the best welfare weapon of the bunch. In fact it not only beat the verac flail, but beat it with full verac's equipped. Simply another case of speed > strength, ancient staff also gives +15 mage defence which is very helpful to lower levels.
  22. Enough difference to make it not worth it to train with full guthans. For waterfiends: ZS=SS > GS > Obby neck/mace > Ancient Staff/defender > D mace/defender = Verac flail > Other barrows weps. Don't use guthan's spear there.
  23. The only input I have is I recently tried dharoking fiends with piety at 90 attack and strength and it was 120 crims per hour. I broke even on cost, you go through prayer really fast in dharoks.
  24. Are you somehow factoring the rest of the charms in and calling them crimsons? 338 crimsons per 1k bursts isn't even close, you get about 270 per 1k with ice burst.
