  2. Use everything you need to get 68, bunyip is godly for slayer. Using blues for fruit bat isn't worth it for just bandos, if you did sara or arma it would be but for bandos just bring tort with brews/rests and bunyips for when you run out.
  3. Unfortunately I don't have my bursting data anymore but I can use my barrage data to make it work. Here is my barrage data from a 6k cast sample post auto-cast update. per 1k casts 170 gold 83 green 360 crimson 13 blue 240,281 magic xp 120,140 magic xp/h 180 crims/h Using these figures you need 16k casts for 88 summoning, which would yield: 2720 barker toads 1328 fruit bats 2800 granite lobsters 208 moss titans 2960 swamp titans 16k barrages would take 32 hours. In the process you would gain 3,844,496 magic experience. Now to find out the charm rate for bursting: 550 casts per hour / 140 crimsons per hour = 3.9285 casts per crimson. 1000 casts / 3.9285 casts per crimson = 255 crimsons per 1k casts. 255 (burst) / 360 (barrage) = bursting yields 70.83% of charms per 1k casts compared to barraging. Thus the charms for 1k bursts is: 120 gold 59 green 255 crimson 9 blue To obtain the same amount of charms mentioned above, you'll need about 22k bursts (Its actually 22.5k rounded down, 16k casts wasn't right on the money and I believe that if anything bursting is closer to 260 crimsons per cast). 16k barrage casts at current G.E. mid prices will cost you 47,276,000gp and will take you 32 hours at 500 casts per hour. 22k burst casts at current G.E. mid prices will cost you 31,900,000gp and will take you 40 hours at 550 casts per hour. So you can save 8 hours and drop 15,3m or you can tough it out for another 8 hours. Unless you value your time at 2m per hour bursting is more efficient, if you don't really care for bursting and are eager to get unicorn for MH like I was I would recommend barraging. I also played it the "less efficient way" but I don't regret it. I kind of lost focus half way through this post so if I made some huge error or left something out let me know.
  4. Factoring only crimsons and using mid ge prices (runes are on the rise so this will be a bit inaccurate) you need 7,526 crimson charms for 78-88 summoning (just using as an example). At 180 crims per hour barraging and 146 crims per hour bursting with 500 casts/h barrage and 550 casts/h burst, you need 21,000 barrage or 29,000 burst. Barrage would cost 56.7m and burst would cost 40.89m. Barraging would take 42 hours, bursting would take around 53 hours. You would have to value your time at over 1.437m per hour, there are other factors such as extra mage exp for barraging but you're already 99 mage do I don't think that means much to you. Do note though that if you figure in the other charms that number will be lower, by how much I can't say.
  5. It's not going to be 1.2m. You get around 245k mage xp and 128k hp exp for 1k ice barrage (taken from my data). That's 3359 casts or so, 822,955 magic exp. You can also do it this way, you get 1.33 hp exp and 2 mage exp for every 1 damage you inflict. 430k/1.33=323,308 damage needed for 430k hp exp. 323,308*2=646,616 magic exp. Add in the base cast, 3359*52 and you get 821,284 magic exp.
  6. Thanks Sxq, when dividing my numbers I don't get whole numbers I get decimals so it seem to be 5.x xp per damage.
  7. I based the number 6 off a quick calculation in which I got the first shot on zil and received 6 xp for 1 damage. Admittedly I wasn't paying very good attention and didn't attempt to repeat it. What makes me certain it is not the standard 4xp/1damage is that for damage I recorded I would've gotten around 190 damage done on a couple kills, with Zil's 255 hp and a 5 man team I find this highly unlikely.
  8. Does anyone know how much xp you get per damage against gwd bosses/zil? I was trying to calc my damage per boss kill and it looks like 6 xp per damage instead of the standard 4 but if someone could confirm that would be great.
  9. Here are my statistics from a 4k ice barrage sample post-autocast update. For barraging you will receive the following for 1k ice barrages: 170 Gold charms 83 Green charms 360 Crimson charms 13 Blue charms 240,281 magic xp And hourly: 500 casts/h 120,140 magic xp/h 180 crims/h
  10. Go to the middle door and spec the northern barrier.
  11. I just finished a very small sample of 492 casts, I can give you more accurate data tomarrow but so far at 110 mage att bonus and 94 mage: Hourly rates 498 casts per hour 122,343 magic xp 64,188 hp xp 186 crims 1k barrage = 245,668 magic xp 128,891 hp xp 172 gold 72 green 373 crims 16 blue

  13. My data for ice bursting post auto-cast change, 110 mage attack bonus with a 5k burst sample. Hourly rates: 553 casts 100,310 magic xp 53,315 hp xp 153 crimsons 1k bursts = 185,215 magic exp 97,027 hp exp per 138 gold 68 green 276 crimson 6 blue Edit: I'm bored so I'll calc it for you. for 917k mage xp you need 5k bursts, its a pretty close cut so it might be wise to bring another 100-200 casts. 5k bursts is: 690 gold charms 340 green charms 1380 crimson charms 30 blue charms 1116 gp per cast totalling 5,580,000gp plus prayer potions. If you can do a pull in 2-3 prayer points 12 prayer pots will be more than enough making your total cost 5,721,600gp.
  14. It all depends on how much you value summoning exp really. Some quick calculations I just did assuming pouch swapping: -Fruit bats: 8 gp/xp -Unicorns: 15 gp/xp -Barraging rock lobs: 22 gp/xp (only counting crimsons) Edit:^used swamp titan for this example
  15. Edit: I failed to read that it was your friends stats that you posted. With 85 hp and 80 defence you would definitely be ok on the tanking end, I think both of you would need to use godswords since your attack is so low and I wouldn't expect more than 3-5 kills if that. Edit 2: Actually since your 92 range I would assume you want to range, I have ranged tanked kril and it works quite well, I wouldn't use rubies for fear of being Ko'd, stick with diamond(e) only if you go that route.
  16. I don't understand why most people use the east safespot instead of the ladder, am I wrong in saying that the running distance is the same? At the ladder if you're still killing the last few lobs and the nearby one respawns, it wont attack you. If using the east spot you will have to use prayer or if your defence is high enough extra blood spells when respawns occur, this is particularly annoying because it will stay on you during looting. The eastern safespot also is more prone to wandering dags, I don't know if this spot allows you to take a step back and kill a melee dag without having the rock lobs attack you but at the ladder spot I can do just that, take one step back and pray flash melee till its dead. Using the ladder spot an EE is plenty of healing, I don't even bring blood spells, I also only use 2-3 prayer points per pull, difficult to do on the eastern spot without needing to cast a healing spell here and there.
  17. Check the hold ctrl button to speed up box and hold ctrl when using mousekeys. Better yet, turn on stickey keys and you dont need to hold control if you turn on some settings there. just press it twice to turn it on, once to to turn it off. (you cant type in rs if its on, so alot of toggling, but alot easier if you want to chat But I feel so ghetto using a chip clip.
  18. The only thing I can think of is not very many shards would come into the game at this time of the day and it's not the kind of item people buy and resell. If the demand for shards was high enough that there were never many in the GE at any given time then it would be really hard to buy them when people aren't at GWD bringing them into the game.

  20. Well you can just use the save and quit feature or you can set multiple homepages, cnet wrote a guide on this recently http://cnettv.cnet.com/8301-13415_53-10 ... oPromoMain
  21. I noticed that it does now... When my mom got on facebook this morning I got disconnected... If you're using a 2.4 ghz wireless phone then you probably are getting interference since that is the same frequency that the typical wireless router uses. Open up your router using the same method posted earlier and look for channel settings. You'll want to put it at the opposite of what it is set at right now, if it is set to 1, change it to 11 and vice versa. Edit: Also if this doesn't work but you can confirm it is the problem (call your house with wireless phone is plugged in, see if it disconnects, call your house with wireless phones unplugged and a corded phone plugged in instead) I believe there is something called a filter you can look into, or you can buy a 5.8 ghz phone.
  22. Today I mustered the will to bust out my Sams teach yourself C++ book, lets just say I've had less frustrating experiences. After all kinds of wonderful issues due to the C++ compiler (Borland: C++BuilderX) not installing correctly on my computer, I finally got a trial version of the 2009 compiler and dove into the infamous "Hello World!" program. When I compile/link/run this code, the command prompt shows up for a split second then disappears. No errors are found and everything seems to be working correctly. I suspect my problem lies within the act of compiling -> link -> run, but I feel like I'm doing everything correctly. If someone could point out some possible mistakes or has some advice I would appreciate it. Below is the code I used. #include int main() { std::cout << "Hello World!\n"; return 0; }
  23. You don't need any programs to get songs off your ipod, just enable show hidden files through your control panal and you'll see some new folders on your ipod. Also you can avoid the annoyances of ipod syncing by using winamp instead of itunes.
