Um? Jagex is doing a great job at banning autoers! look!
cubed_boid replied to 0_Xp_In_Def's topic in General Discussion
Now, I agree people should give Jagex a rest and stop picking at the faults.. but we can't just say that and not look at OUR side of the story also. Jagex are aware of this huge problem, but what action they are still going to take against it remains to be seen. Personally I have no clue on the whole Member Autoer situation.. maybe it's true, maybe it isn't. I don't know if Jagex favour members over non-members. It would be understandable in some cases, but totally selfish in others. But from the (honest) player's point of view, macroing/autoing is totally sickening, to say the least, it takes a lot of nerve for a person to be that down-right arrogant to Auto. It hurts alot of players in the pockets also, both F2P and P2P alike, always having to cope with price changes. (I've heard that Nature Runes have gone up to something like 320gp+, which in turn causes alot of its own problems). Personally, i'm going to sit back and watch Jagex's next Anti-Autoing move. Will they swing the ban-hammer big style or will they let it build up and lose honest players from it? Time will tell, let's hope for the best. -
Aaah, great story. Make sure you triple check for items next time! Thanks for the amusing read!

Aaah, they should make a different version of High Detail. Very High Detail? High Detail Plus? It would be great to here a door creak open, your own footsteps, wildlife or the soft russle of trees. It would add a whole new element to the game.

Well, the Chain Mail is... rather ugly. The new armored gloves though, thankyou Jagex! Could someone take a picture of them all being worn and post them? Oh and by the way - Bahahaha! Ahrim's got ruined. Hah. Surely they will fix it and the animations soon.

I'm not going to come, because I feel it's unfair to take advantage of other people's celebrations now (plus I know i'll not get a single drop). Well done on all your achievments in RuneScape. I would have done near enough the same if I was in your shoes. Pleh, as if you got done for assault. Don't people know about love anymore? -
Thanks alot Jagex. You could have let us have the weapons after the quest. Just not as hard hitting :(

Don't poison the confusion beasts! You get poisoned yourself!

I was in the Fishing Guild, Fishing lobsters when suddenly a Man popped out of nowhere. I was quick to kill him and Taa Daa! He dropped a clue scroll. 'Look upstairs in a drawer in houses in Seers village' So I ran to Seers and went straight to the spinning wheel house and searched the draw upstairs. 'Look in a crate downstairs in a house in Seers village' So I went over to the house with the crate in it and BAM! Wizard Hat (t), Studded Body and an Air Staff. Oooh, ran straight in the bank wearing my fancy new hat when some guy says 'I'll buy your hat, 100k'. This was way more than I expected, so I traded it and I am now 100k more richer. Thankyou guy from the Fishing Guild :D

Aren't you clever? I'm just suprised someone went to this length to do this.

Check this out April 1, 2006 "Halo joins the MMO world with Halo: Online Halo: Combat Evolved to join the Massively Multiplayer world alongside Halo 2: PC haloonline4 Bungie Studios, creators of the hit franchise "Halo", are set to explode onto the scene of Massively Multiplayer Gaming with the creation of Halo: Online. Halo: Online will be developed by Bungie Studios in partnership with a team from Jagex Ltd., creators of the successful MMORPG "RuneScape". Set for release Spring 2008, Halo: Online will be released alongside Halo 2: PC and will give players the chance to develop a character based in the Halo universe while fighting the ongoing war between the Covenant and Humanity. Gamers will have the oppurtunity to play as both a Marine on the side of Humanity, or an Elite Soldier on the side of the Covenant, a religious army destroying Humanity's colonies one by one. "Halo: Combat Evolved" and it's sequel, "Halo 2", have both exceeded expectations on all formats which they have been developed for. The games follow the epic story of "Master Chief" as he battles against the superior alien forces of the Covenant. In Halo: Online, you see the story from both sides of the battles waged and the territory lost and gained as the player's character progresses. The game will come with 1 month's free play. After that, players may choose to purchase additional months for only US$5, similar to Jagex's current price plan. Also with the Java-based web-games expertise that Jagex Ltd. provides, Halo: Online promises not to require tremendously high-cost PCs that other games ask for, thus giving the oppurtunity to play on nearly any internet-ready PC or Java device at any time. About Bungie Studios: Bungie Studios was founded in 1991 with two goals: to develop games that combine brilliant technology, beautiful art, intelligent stories and deep gameplay, and then sell enough of those games to achieve its real goal of total world domination. Over the past 10 years it has produced games such as the "Marathon Trilogy," the first two "Myth" games, and the "Halo" franchise, hailed as classics by critics and gamers around the world. Released in 2004, the award winning "Halo 2" for Xbox has achieved phenomenal success and has sold more than 7.3 million units worldwide. More information on Bungie can be found at http://www.bungie.net/. About Jagex Ltd.: Jagex Limited is the Developer and Operator of the massively multiplayer online 3D adventure game RuneScape. The game is played primarily via the website http://www.runescape.com, or via one of the partner sites. RuneScape has a Free version and a premium Members version. Members have a whole host of benefits and enjoy an advert-free playing experience. Subscription to the Members version costs from US$5 per month. "We intend to become a significant online operator in all the major gaming markets worldwide; developing and commercializing highly compelling persistent character games that appeal to as wide an audience as possible, based on cutting edge technologies developed in-house." " Don't know if anyone here has seen this, pretty cool stuff eh? Or is it just an April Fools Joke? I shall leave this for you to decide. I think this is just an advertising attempt by Jagex.. because HBO is a very popular site and many people will look at this article.

RSN - Cubed Boid Reason - Well, I'm not saying I deserve anything, but recently I have a few people who are very close to me pass away and nobody to talk to about it. Nobody has been there to cheer me up, it would be a very kind thing if one person could just show me someone cared. I've lost alot, and RuneScape isn't exactly the best thing to waste away on, but I do it anyway to see if I can find any cheerful person to brighten me up.. Heh, not doing very well. Yeah probably sound like i'm fishing for sympathy and stuff, but I'm honestly not. So please don't say I am. All the best with quitting, I hope you have enjoyed your time within the RS community. Toodles. -

Tip.It Times Presents: An Ethical Dilemma
cubed_boid replied to Kiara_Kat's topic in General Discussion
Well, it seems that an opinion expressed and as I am sure, agreed with by many, has got us all into... well perhaps Jagex's 'bad list'? I'm not here to 'pick fights', 'be anti-Jagex' or whatever it is you feel like saying. I just find it unfair that they don't want to hear our opinions. I, myself, was quite worried about the whole Law Suit, but still it left me wandering - Can Jagex not face up to their actions? (Sorry mods I know you'll probably say i shouldn't say that). Is it true, that poor Andrew + the crew have efficiently snapped under the pressure and are slightly blind to what they are causing. Yes, they have got to maintain and run a huge, very popular and fun MMORPG everday. Yes, it's true that they try their very best to please the whole community. Yes, they are always finding ways to make more money. But truely, are they going about this the right way? I'm not one for making suggestions here, hell, I know I can't do any better than them, but I for one can see several flaws in their systems. We can't expect Jagex to whip new tricks, rules or effective systems out of their butt's everyday, but maybe they should think a little into the consequences. I am sidetracking alot, just stating alot of theories/questions for an open ended discussion. At the end of the day, what is done is done. Tip.It made a wise move to put that article on their site. It may open up Jagex's mind a little, hopefully. Only time can tell. :wall: Why do all the good things end up bringing so much controversy? Human nature I believe. Keep these words in mind - Once you're at the top, you want more and you won't stop until you get it. I'm going to leave this thread here because I know the Average Joe Tip.It'er won't have read past the 2nd paragraph  -

I am merely saying how far Andrew has gone about this to make his game better. I mean no disrespect to the game, or infact, any of the Jagex staff, I just believe they could have taken a more educated approach to the bans they unjustly serve. -

It's all gone to Andrew's head. He can't face the truth, so he pokes his team of lawyers at us... *sigh*. -
My sister on the phone. My mum telling me to get up 20 times in the space of a minute. My friends voice in the morning on the way to school... blah blah BLAH. When someone Nudges you on MSN with full volume by accident >.<

I'm glad people like you are always here to help the less observant players. Very good guide, well done :D

Off-Topic : Ooh with that type of attitude you are going to get flamed to hell one day. On-Topic : Yeah it'll be able to stop petty scammers and their lame attempts, finally. Thankyou Jagex! You really do care :D
-
Thanks :D I take it back kinda, bad idea. But then again, the results of it may be good...
-
*sigh* If you don't like it, ignore it. It would take a whole lot to stop people saying 'noob' and censoring it will just lead to other insults. Until a miracle happens, ignore it and don't say it yourself. P.S. Something tells me that you made this topic because you have been recently called it?

Yes, we need Bubsa to keep everyone in line. We all love you man (no not like that). Now tell me. WHY in the hell would Jagex make another Party Hat? Firstly it is totally against there policy, they said the wouldn't ever re-drop any tradeable holiday item or make them available to the public. (Yes, they do have the right and power to make more for THEMSELVES). Secondly why screw up RuneScape's economy any more? Don't you see the state it is in? It's so awful words cannot describe it. I know it was all with good intentions, but next time think your ideas through a little before posting ok?
