Reason for Rule 8.
The actual person is more experienced, but the character itself is still new. All I said in the example is that player 2 didn't have a main to trade stuff, not that they didn't have experience playing the game.

yah another question
I think I read that someone got 12 off of one herb seed. Highest I've ever gotten was 10. But another extra for farming is the magic secatuers you get from Fairy Tale pt.1 quest. It increases possible herb/allotment yields by 10%. So that can help to get a few more herbs per harvest.

Only 1 seed per patch at a time, but there are 4 herb patches around the world. So at any one time you can have 4 planted (with super compost) giving at least 20 ranarrs in a bit over an hour.

Reason for Rule 8.
Basically because not everyone has a main that can give them items/gold when starting out. As other threads like this have mentioned as an example. 2 players start out same time making a mage pure. Player 1 has a main that dumps a ton of runes, items and gold on him, so that he doesn't have to do anything else. Player 2 has to do rune mysteries, mine essence, craft their own runes, gether their own food, etc. Jagex wants to make each character independent on it's own, that way everyone starts out the same. As for rule 11, where do they draw the line at advertising? They allow one person, then if someone else isn't allowed, they claim "no fair". Also Jagex can't investigate every player advertisement. Some of the less scrupulous players would use that to steal accounts and such. Easier to blanket all advertisements as illegal than to have to chase down half of them to investigate.

Raising your farming up to be able to plant ranarrs is the best way. Ice warriors were a good source of the seeds for me. Use supercompost and as long as you check them and keep them alive, you'll get at least 5 ranarr per seed. As for monster drops, personally never ran into any that gave more ranarrs than others.

what should i use my lamps on?
Like they said, use it on something that takes a while to level, or on something you hate to train like I did (thieving/runecrafting).

yah another question
My main problem (and probably others as well), is not that it's hard, just time consuming. For every herb you get you have to also gather the secondary ingredient. That along with getting lower level herbs (after you've gained a good bit of levels) makes it slow to raise. It's an easy skill to raise if you have the money to buy herbs and/or secondarys, but if you gather all on your own it's harder to raise.

Tefda from the forums here also has made one: http://www.piratefish.com/rs/PohDes.html Never tried the runehq one so don't know if it's any better than Tefda's

another skill help question from me =_=
Also, if you have a bit of money and have done throne of misc. and royal trouble quests, that's an excellant way to gather herbs.

World record FIRE cape loser?
Anybody wanna translate this part to english for me? I have NO idea what these comments have to do with the post. G He was answering a question he thought the title meant (not what was talked about in the post). He thought you meant you had a fire cape and had died with it on. Some people got all the answers....to questions no one was asking.

Battered Book?
If that doesn't work, I'd send in a query to Jagex, might not have remembered that the name of the book was important.

World record FIRE cape loser?
man, ouch, sorry about the bad luck you've hit there. I might have given you some competition, but after my 7th attempt (6 to the jad), I realized I wasn't having any fun with it and gave up. But as long as you enjoy the whole thing, keep at it and good luck.

Safe spot to mage steel dragons?
as long as you're not right next to them (in melee range), they will just use firebreath to attack you. So basically anywhere but up close.

Law Runecrafting
Is that true? I know they changed something about gauntlets, through the abyss...

Firemaking
Yanille, according to this thread: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=547135 I tried there and liked it since you don't have to move out of a straight line for an inventory of wood.

Speaking in code.
It's under the subject line and above where you post or reply. In the section with the text and other extra post functions. To rephrase Shane, type your post, highlight what you want to "code", then click the code button above the post box.

Question about crafting coifs.
Actually it's only 4 items per thread, did 27k coifs to get to 80 crafting and miscalculated the amount of thread needed since I thought it was 5 also. But if you can at least start Lunar and get to the island, the clothes store there has a stock of 500 thread. It's a lot easier than world hopping between al-kharid and rimmington (only 100 total stock if no one else is buying them).

Question about faster respawns on heavily populated worlds
Took you up on your idea, edited first post with results.

Question about faster respawns on heavily populated worlds
That's why I'm hoping that player grown trees respawn the same rate as "community" trees. My own tree with the quicker respawn might be worth going to a crowded world.

Question about faster respawns on heavily populated worlds
I've heard that on more populated servers the respawn times of things such as ores and trees is faster. Does anyone know if this applies to player grown trees? Also I thought I saw a post at one time with an estimated list of times for things to respond, but I can't find it anymore. Anyone have a list of those or know around the time of a magic tree respawn on more populated vs. less populated servers? Thanks EDIT: And on Ishepp's suggestion, I tried it out. This timting is for the respawn of player grown magic trees. World 77 - 1138 people - 2 minutes and 40 seconds to respawn. World 2 - 2000 people - 2 minutes to respawn. Bit of a difference, but on lower player trees (yews and maples), it might be even better as their respawn would be faster than normal.
