  1. Make skilling easier for the newcomers, increase level cap for new content.
  2. Is it sad that I knew exactly where that was in Runescape when I saw it? It is pretty obvious where it is :P
  3. I'm not super knowedgeable on IP addresses, but I thought each computer had it's own ID? I thought most, if not all, replicated technology has it's own ID. Ban computer access if possible..? You could take it a step further and do that. And if they could pinpoint RL addresses, they could attempt to subpoena (hoping that's correct) a lot of people, fight them legally..Impractial probably though :\. I just hate botters, rwters, etc. Every computer does have a unique MAC address, but if I understand it correctly, you cannot determine someone's MAC address through the internet.. you can only get their IP address, which is determined by the ISP. If people are using the same network they will all have the same IP address. You can also mask your IP address by using a proxy. So if you are IP banned you can just use a proxy and get around the ban. Furthermore, my understanding is that the use of bots is not technically illegal - only the creation of bots. That's why Jagex goes after the creators of these botting programs rather than the users (again, could be mistaken here, but that's what I read somewhere at some point...). And if you consider how many thousands and thousands of people bot, they're not going to take legal action against every single one of them. It's unrealistic and not worth their time. They'll go after the source - the makers and suppliers of the bots. Each packet sent has the Mac address of the original source in it. Ip bans are not only IP bans they go together with a lot of other information gathered, Username and mac are considerable among them. A big problem is proxies, you can ban them but you would ban all of the people on it, so first they should not allow proxies (which not many people use) Then make it so proxies cannot connect to the game. And Jagex would have to set up a bunch of guidelines for themselves for when to hand out an ip ban. I guess with IPv6 it would be easier because every computer in a subnet can then be blocked separately instead of blocking the entire building. It will cost a lot to get someone with knowledge on how to do this all, but it will be effective. A lot is possible, even when you think it is not.
  4. You don't see it coming next week; You don't say ;P RS3 will be discussed when RS2 is really holding back their possibilities, the game is still constantly improving (some things are a bit restricted but they are ignored as long as possible). When they reach the moment that it becomes inevitable it is going to be hard maybe even too late. I agree on the fact that things are too crowded, If i walk from place to place I see distractions everywhere and people... its like I am in one huge town instead of having that feeling that you just left a town and now have to wait a little while before you arrive at a bank or something.
  5. I posted this on RSOF ( 185-186-990-63624365 ), but got not many replies there, what does tip.it think of my idea? Here is my post (copy from RSOF) Hello, As you have read this is a suggestion regarding Elves and to be precise a future ending of some quest that results in obtaining this armour. Ill just jump into it right away without a long intro. -Elven Crystal Armour- Obtained by killing npcs/doing other event that rewards crystal seed that makes the armour. Killable npc's/other event unlocked after the elven quest Seed is sung into a piece of armour by npc The armour needs a constant sound to stay in shape Sounds are produced in most parts of the game, on the main level. Sound does not reach wildernis. Sound does not reach deep underground. When the armour is without sound it degrades fast and when degraded it returns to a seed again. Partial degradation makes the armour lose some of its stats (like other crystal items it has 10 stages). If you are out of reach of the sound and your armour degrades to a lower level and you go back into reach of the sound the armour does not recharge, the degrading just stops. Recharging the seed costs money or requires skill (prefer money) The seed is bound to the piece of armour you made of it. Seeds that are not bound yet are different from all seeds because they are the only version that has no bind yet and binding them for the first time should cost nothing or significantly less than a recharge. The bound of a seed cannot be changed or removed. Seeds are trade-able, bound seeds are not (bound = made into some piece of armour that then degraded into a seed) Seeds get weak after being recharged a few times. A weaker seed does not affect the strength of the armour. Seed --> first time bind --> [crystal armour piece]¹ --> Degraded [crystal armour piece] --> [crystal arour piece] seed --> Recharge² --> repeat ¹ to ² × times --> weaker [crystal armour piece] seed --> recharge > [crystal armour piece] > Degraded [crystal armour piece] > Dust (^that's an example, I know its a bit detailed about how the seed works but I just have to write it down... I can't help it) -Why did I think of this (this way)? I think it would be a good high level armour, that can be used unlimitedly on the main land, so there is no penalty for killing low level npc's with armour that can degrade. Its degrading process underground and other places where sound does not reach makes it use at bosses limited but not too limited that it becomes a burden. This all results into high players wanting the armour for high end bosses, but having to obtain seeds more often than players doing mostly things on the main land. Or at least they create a need for more seeds. Why seeds should cost not much to charge for the first time? To keep the market price of new seeds close to the price of recharging in the long run, in the beginning the new seeds will cost more due to market needs and it will find its own value (so its just a safety net for the future). I think the way to obtain seeds should be hard but rewarding even when no seed is obtained. My main line was the crystal armour. I also thought of possible sound distribution throughout the map. What I thought was logical was: Trees with a speaker/hut in it (just graphical) the speaker would be some sort of way to distribute the sound, Or just like summoning obelisks... but instead of the obelisk a speaker. Speakers distribute the high frequency sound that we cant hear that keep the crystal armour in shape. I tried to stay out of lore as much as I could so that there is a lot of room in this idea. This idea is a rough sketch, but this sketch starts at the end of something, a high level elven quest. feel free to play with anything or change it. Anyway, post improvements/adjustments/ how this fits it into lore or anything else! Thank you for reading, support and improvement. // the end.
  6. I was thinking of elves yesterday (185-186-990-63624365) too bad no1 thinks the idea is good :| I also sold my collection of bandit camp teleport scrolls quickly for 35k ea... before they drop
  7. You should check if you can win lifetime membership with that!
  8. When prices of resources rise it becomes more and more attractive for bots to return. Especially since the price per mil rose too... (im getting mssgs saying 17$ somthing for 20m) They should send out the lawsuits now.
  9. A lot of people think that the thing is rigged for f2p to fall on p2p items. Yes it is marketing to make it possible for them to get the items then making them subscribe to claim the item. No it is not rigged to fall on members items more often in f2p, on my noob i have not gotten a single members item The chance to get a members item is extremely big on this wheel.
  10. As time passes more winners come. This might be a totally random thing. Why? Because if it really mattered when you clicked then people could time it or use some trick to click at the right moment. I know everyone here is smart enough to recognise patterns. The only pattern I can see is that often it hits jackpot then just skips one more and you get 50gp or cabage. I am too lazy to record my spins and analyze them but im sure people are doing that. Record and slomo blayback with timers and etc. It doesn't say in the rules it's not allowed.
  11. 14 years isn't a lifetime *giggles* Average lifetime in RS lore is 14 years lolollol (made that up, dont hit me for being wrong)
  12. Well prepare to be madder :P 5 in <330k exp. I've heard that since the last update effigies have been dropping like crazy when it comes to slayer tasks? I had a friend who got 3 from Dark beasts, used them up then got 2 in his next task of Ice strykes. are Jagex actually listening to their players now, or like just pure fluke?? Perhaps Jagex tweaked the droprate while you're on a task? That would make most people happy because they get thier precious effigies, but still prevents people from camping one npc for effigiescape. I don't know if that's the case, it's probably dumb luck, but it could happen. I have done some tasks lately... not a single effigy. I used to get one every trip to any place. Effigies were my happy moments during slayer. \ nuf talk more pics
  13. You think? 1 in how many get a good item.. and still they gotta hope it is not a tribal or something but really something usefull and then it has to be one of those people you described. Chances are low, but the effect is charming. People having a chance to win are happier than people who don't. And here every1 has a chance. A lot of research went into this update I believe, because of marketing being more involved and game analasys and more.
  14. You can filter out broadcasts by putting the "game" tab on "filter".
  15. Medium lamp got 4009 xp at lvl 64 (427 232xp after receiving xp))
  16. -.- Always when I log in it just updated....I swear on the nanosecond. Edit: le error connecto del server
  17. So because a few people have their max cape now means that it should be harder for others to obtain. That is the result of the update but I don't think thats the thought behind it.
  18. Mhh -.- I can't pick peoples money bags yet. my thieving is 81 ;)
  19. I have to admit, this game in 2012 is 1000% better than the game we had at the start of 2011! This is really becoming a good game, with more logic added to it like toolbelt and money bag. Props.
  20. I thought most of them would have their bank cleaned... that is if we are talking about paying to get banned account back.
  21. Not neccesarily cheaper, but non-rare (e.g. not limited). It could be 5b per hat with one buyable per month for all I care, but java limits :P. free market.
  22. I would say London because Europe gamers have so few of these that every one is a blessing. Each convention held here is a victory and possibly an eye opener for other companies that it would be a good idea to have other conventions here. Europe counts 400-500 million people so I guess there are a few gamers among us. America though, people travel with ease there, here traveling to another country is a pain. I think mostly because of language. I don't really want to get really any deeper into the subject. I would say America because they have lots of these that most of them are familiar with it and are not scared to go to a convention. And people in America are willing to travel larger distances for something they like. I think they will get a bigger crowd.
  23. Not even rare anymore... but more and more people complain about the high price of it. Anyway, market in goods are booming so logically the high end rares market goes down a bit. Nothing to worry, they will find a stable price once Jagex is done making changing the game drastically.
  24. New version would mean new engine, and companies barely come with engine news so we wont hear about it until its ready or something. Maybe when they feel that this engine is limiting too much for their groth, but don't see that happening soon.
