Not sure if this has been a topic, but I'm quite sure if it had been, it's gone out of date and people may have changed their minds. ------- Once again, I'm afk training, and had another idea for a topic, in which I'm interested to hear the many responses and reasonings behind my question... So the question is, if you had to pick, what would be your fav skill, and what would be your least fav skill. If I had to pick, Farming - favourite Mining - least favourite ( although I'm unaware of concentrated ore, so this answer may change ). If you have weird favs that deserve an explanation, do tell :thumbsup:

Just because you get an update for a skill that needed one doesn't mean the update was good. These spells are pointless. The God Spells are: a. more powerful b. have lower requirements (80 for charge) c. are still cheaper This makes them completely useless. actually... The new spells are more power full. They also cast quite abit faster then other spells. They are also cheaper arent they? i thought the god spells used multiple bloods/deaths. Max hit of Claws of Guthix: 33 Max hit of surge spells: 31 Cost of Claws of Guthix: 928 Cost of Fire Surge: 996 Grats, get some boots nao. Forgot to take into consideration the cost of charge. That is fairly high, although only cast every few minutes. Also, fire surge is more xp. You don't consider that mage xp is normally valued at somewhere around 5 gp/xp for a moderate training method, more if you barrage. Charge lasts a little over 6 minutes which is a lot of casts if your in constant combat, maybe puts the costs on par with fire surge. People forget that the god spells including guthix have extra effects. Claws of Guthix not only hits extremely hard, but also reduces the defense of the target (more PvP usage really) SUCCESS!@!

Wow, dumbest post I've ever read. People actually play this game for fun, believe it or not. And this is fun for them, attempting to skill at such a low level. Not everyone is like yourself where they strive for ultimate total goals. They give themseleves fun challenging goals, for FUN. Get it?

Wow nice QQ. If you weren't risky enough to skill in the wild, then you could skill other ways. There was always the alternative, and those skillers who dared to skill in the wild, benefited. People such as yourself who liked the safe game, could stay within it fine.

Hehe thanks. I quit between October 2007 to October 2009 to study at University, so I missed out on a lot of playing during that time. Don't worry, I'm not that slow <3: Appreciated :) Yeah revisiting my 3 year old goal of 80 + all stats. Runecrafting is gonna be a struggle :ohnoes:

I can't see where the OP misused those words? The first use on this thread was in the post made by Jeda, however, if it's a cross-thread quote of the OP or if my comments were elaborating the point that Jeda was trying to make, then apologies to Jeda, I agree with him/her (though quote tags might have helped if this is the case!). My comments still stand against whomever posted the initial definition, and it would be shame to waste the duck analogy :) It's not a mis-use, its an acceptance of different meanings. Over time words grow, you'd be foolish to assume the initial definition is now the only definition.

What I find incredible is that you presumably haven't bothered to verify your statements above. Whilst massive can indeed mean having mass, it can also mean large in scale or amount, so a "massive amount of light" is perfectly reasonable use of the word massive. Equally, incredible can be used both positively and negatively, however the latter usage is less frequent and is usually qualified as negative through intonation which is difficult to convey in text chat. What you've done in your post is take a single definition and imply that any other usage is incorrect, it's akin to me saying "I can't believe someone shouted duck when they saw that object flying towards my head... Surely they must realise that a duck is a bird that goes quack". That's funny, it's exactly his point. Instead of debating against him you would be agreeing with his disagreement of the OP, perhaps you better re-read.

Doesn't change my impression of you in the slightest, and I'm sure most people would feel the same. I have many gay friends, I'm used to it lol. I don't think quitting rs is the answer, 1. because i'd miss this blog, 2. because you have lots of friends here that would support you and help you through dealing with your parents. Don't quit :( Everyone that deserves to be your friend will support you. It's not that big a deal, only some people make it out to be.

Thi is my 5th time, and I daresay not my last time I'll achieve this, here's some proof XD My first 70+ all stats, obtaining agility to get it, woop woop. Very impressive Meili, 10 / 10 easily. If you want to value your bank go to general discussion, 3rd age, phat ( blah blah ) discussion. Master Smither and Abyssal price all rares, you can get a good idea there :) I'd guess it's worth over 5 bil easily.

I like this post, and I truely miss skill benefits involving pking risks. They are what made it worthwhile, and only those risking it would benefit greater than others. Previous examples include: 1. Oldschool greater demon ranging. Rune helms were amazing money back then, only greater demons dropped em, from the wild. 2. Green dragon slaying. Best location was graveyard tele, had to deal with tons of pkers. Amazing money 3. Abyss Runecrafting. Only those who risked the abyss gained the fastest rc xp that involved keeping ur runes 4. Rune mining. Wilderness mining was the best if you didn't run into pkers. The risk of doing it this was benefited you greatly ( There are of course many more, but these stand out to me ). All of these methods have gone, you can do them now without any risk. I think this aids a lot in the current easy nature of the game now, and how simple it is to gain money now that these methods have been removed. I would love to see new benefits that require a pvp risk. I used to do anything involving the wild to ensure I was participating in the best methods for each skill. The players who took the risk were noticebly better off than those that didn't.

Total xp is better. Those poor lvl 3 skillers should be able to get in easier. And naturally the requirement should be raised to 1.5k total or an xp equivalent.

This sounds more like an excuse to talk yourself up than a response to invalid phrases :rolleyes:
