  1. no they won't work for summoning

from this answer in the FAQ it seems like it does indeed not work on time at all, only on xp: for the people asking how much XP or saying that it is the same for everyone:
  3. essiw replied to vettro's topic in Help and Advice
I thought it works on time with an xp cap based on your level.
  4. It does last an amount of time, but it has a xp cap related to your level.
  5. Hi all, There is something strange at the item database, when I search for an unlit torch I only get one with a description of an activity.
  6. No I mean like at http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=200 under Tips, tricks & notes. And then not only the xp bonuses but also the coins. This idea is because you can complete the quest without getting those things and then forget that you could get them (so that you don't need to search all the quest pages for those things). But yeah it could look like that table but then you could add checkboxes to see which things you still need to do.
  7. I think I can confirm this, not because I have the same problem but because you can see the tasks now already, and previous you had to do the hard tasks before you could see the elite ones.
  8. Hi all, I recently saw your new diary page (which should be named tasks I think, but that is not what i wanted to say) and saw the nice checkbox system that you used at quests too. Now my idea is, maybe you can add that system to some quest pages where you need to collect things (like rag and bone man and fur 'n' seek) I also got a second idea. Under tips and tricks of quest pages are sometimes things you can do after the quest (like getting extra xp if you have level xx in a skill, or for example get a helm if you have 300questpoints). It would be great to see a page which lists things like this, so you can easily see if you can get something new.
  9. try using safari and tell if it still occurs :)
  10. You can't go outside (at least not at the top flour) because you will automatically teleported to ardougne
  11. I am not sure about the guard thing, because I didn't get caught, but if you go down the Trellis you get back to ardougne too.
  12. To see if it is a real picture you need to follow these steps: 1) Look if .png is on the end of the link 2) Nothing may be after .png not even a slash (your link contains a slash, thus means it is not a real picture but a page named after a picture) 3) If there is a question mark in the link it is mostly not a real picture. Edit: Thanks Y_Guy
  13. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=85 If you have a ring of charos equipped you can charm the boatman to board the boat for free. (sorry no pictures)
  14. Oh my. Such a teeny tiny window to view the Runescape world with. So much wasted space I play rs on fixed + safe mode on a 22" screen... If you see my screen you would say "destroy" check (warning 3MB pic): click here to see it Btw for the persons who want to know how I did that: 1) I am a member so no adds 2) I use a mac and auto-hide the bar at the bottem of the screen 3) I downloaded an addon to make my browser (safari) go to full screen and only show the tab bar, which also creates that the upper bar auto-hides. Btw, the mini-map showing black is currently a bug from apple or runescape that occured with the new update for mac a month ago. @pulli23 thanks for pointing that out, I changed it :)
  15. Sorry I've got no idea, I only saw it mention the bow and you get a sling now instead of a bow. I did the quest on my new account when you still got the bow.
  16. Last time i checked they don't save space but destroy space on your screen. I rather play runescape in full screen (not full screen modus) on my 23 inch screen.
  17. Did you know? You are on the forum of one of the biggest runescape fansite full of calculators, guides and databases...
  18. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=216 It does still mention the bow 3 times, instead of the new sling.
  19. That would require questing though. With the aversion many players seem to have to quests, and the fact that the quest of this topic requires numerous other quests be completed first to give a sizable amount of quest points (nearly all of them if the newb in question is f2p, which they ought to be if they're poor enough to be satisfied collecting ashes rather than splitting granite or picking flax...) Basically nobody that would consider getting ~12-13k of shields over the span of 5 minutes of dialogue spam-clicking to be worthwhile moneymaking actually meets the qualifications. That being said though, many people prefer getting 15k fishing xp an hour totally afk over paying attention to the game and getting maybe 70-90k xp instead, so I could definitely see where somebody might be just the right level of newb to benefit from your suggestion. You can obtain an anti fire shield without questing, iirc. no you must have started dragon slayer to obtain one.
  20. Yeah that is possible, did it a week ago.
  21. The question I would ask is, why did they deny the fact that they used that form of punishment and said it was a bug?

I did never say that you could not be safe on a windows, I did say that it is rare to get hacked while using only a mac. While using a mac you can visit what ever internet page, download everything you can, have no virus scan and still be 100% safe. The only time you are possible not safe is to install the keylogger, while ignoring at least 2 warnings for malware and not knowing what programm you are installing (and mostly they have a stupid name). If you don't know how to keep your computer safe on windows (believe me, a lot people don't know it, some people like you who just replied seem to do) there is a much higher chance to get malware. And what I did say was that he most likely used someone else computer with windows on it and that computer may be infected with malware. I never said macs are "better" I just said that it is rare to see that happening, in fact keyloggers and trojan horses did only appear a few years ago, other then that there are no viruses on mac (argue what you want, all the malware that are found have to be installed and do not make use of system bugs, that means that if you read or heard about viruses on mac, they use the wrong word to describe it).

Just want to say that to get a keylogger on your mac would be very rare (it is possible, but you would have to remember installing software that did not work or that you did not know of what it was for and then opening it.), I rather think you logged in on RS or facebook at a windows computer and they had a keylogger. I have been using mac my whole life, have no bank pin, and have never been hacked in 6 years playing runescape.
  24. Well, i doubt there will be a way. But how can I get more random events? I made a new account (all stats are around 20-50) and got 141 questpoints. I know that the more questpoints you have and the more random events you complete without trouble, the less random events you get. The problem is, I want those emotes and clothes. I also got a girlfriend playing runescape and she likes those random events (yeah she is f2p), so she would like to know it too. It may sound like a pretty noobish/dumb question, but I wasn't playing when they changed the randoms.
