NFL Fantasy Football 2008
Well, with the NFL season just around the corner, I was wondering if there was any interest in starting a TIF Fantasy Football league. I've never actually played fantasy football but it seems fun, and my older brother has played for the past 7(?) years. This year I joined the league my brother is in, on CBS, it's mostly his friends and his friends friends. Another issue to address is what site we would play on, if this does go through. I know CBS, NFL.com, and Yahoo! all have free fantasy football. Does anyone with experience have a preference? With CBS, you can only be in one league at a time, which means myself, and others already in a CBS league would have to create new accounts/new emails, etc. in order to join. I'm pretty sure NFL.com, on the other hand, supports players being in multiple leagues (correct me if I'm wrong). Post if you're interested, and leave feedback if you wish. The max players is 12 per league, so hopefully there's enough interest to fill at least one league.

Bands That Have Died
A band that I was sad that broke up after only one album was Death From Above 1979. I will admit that there songs would sometimes sound similar, but still, their music was awesome.

What movie(s) did you last see?
I watched Equilibrium last night. I had seen it with friends like 5 years ago but I didn't remember anything about it so I re watched it. And was very glad I did. Equilibrium is an amazing Sci-fi movie with awesome action scenes. Highly recommended.

What enthusiast gaming websites do you use?
I sometimes go to gametrailers to watch previews of upcoming games, or to watch reviews of recently released games to decide whether or not to buy. I also occasionally go onto /v/ of 4chan. Can't stand browsing it for too long of a period or too often though :P

Guess The Movie
Looks a lot like Sigourney Weaver in Aliens, but that movie is from the 80's, so it can't be it. I'm gonna guess As Good as it Gets.

Getting In Shape.
Ah, yes. Another forum I frequent had a topic about 100 pushups. Basically you follow a short routine 3 times a day (takes less than 20 minutes each day), and after 6 weeks, you should be able to do 100 consecutive pushups. I was thinking about trying this but I've been working too much this summer to be able to do it. I sometimes do cash, sometimes do pushing carts at a grocery store, so I don't want to tire out my arms and then have to go push carts for 8 hours :P. Maybe in the coming school year I'll give it a shot.

Olympics 2008
Yeah, that's also what I like about watching the Olympics. You get a huge diversity of world class athletics in a period of a few weeks, and you get to watch a lot of sports that you don't normally get to see.

Mass Effect peeps
I have another question, this time about achievements. If I get 75 shotgun kills on one character, and 75 on another, will I get the achievement for 150 shotgun kills? or does it have to be all on one character?

Mass Effect peeps
Okay, I just finished my first play through, as a soldier. I didn't realize that once you got to a certain point, you wouldn't be able to go back to the citadel and do your side quests. I was saving them for later and accidently completed the game without doing barely any of them. So now, I'm gonna do another play through. I think I'm gonna play as an Adept, unless someone convinces me otherwise. I'm also going to try playing on Hardcore. Last time I either playing on veteran or normal (I think normal). Would hardcore be too hard as an Adept?

Currently listening to the album Relationship of Command by At the Drive-in.

Brett Lorenzo Favre
Oh wow, didn't really expect that, but then again I haven't been following the wholething very closely at all. I just expected he'd end up back with the packers in the end. At least he still gets to wear the colour green.

Exchange Student Help
I think taking him to sporting events would be a good idea. American football and baseball, two sports that aren't very popular in Germany, would be good to take him to.

Exchange Student Help
Where do you live? It could help give us an idea of what's viable to do in your area. Try thinking of things that they can't do there, things that are new and unique to him would be of much better entertainment value.

Your top five movies
In no particular order: - Batman Begins/The Dark Knight - The Prestige - Memento - Gladiator - The Bourne series. (the books are good too) These probably aren't my top 5 of all time, but they're ones that I really enjoyed that I managed to think of at this time. I may edit this later :P

Meat lovers vs. Vegetarians
Thank you xvillexvalox. Reading the invalid arguments from the previous posters was becoming quite painful, needed something to turn the thread around.

Meat lovers vs. Vegetarians
Every nutrient found in meat can easily be obtained from other food sources. It's not like there's any nutrients in meat that are exclusive to only meat. If every vegetarian got sick from not eating meat, there wouldn't be as many vegetarians as there are today. For those of you saying that vegetarians eating vegetables but not meat is hypocritical, that's pretty stupid to say. You can't compare vegetables to animals. Animals have a nervous system, vegetables do not. Having a nervous system means having a brain, being able to feel pain and emotion, and being capable of thought process. And for the record, I'm not a vegetarian, I eat meat quite regularly. I just had to debunk the terrible arguments in this thread.

Mass Effect peeps
I'm a Vanguard. What's funny is that it kinda reminds me of Too Human (I played the demo before I got Mass Effect), but ME is better even though it's a lot older I went in first with the Infiltrator actually, but the sniper pissed me off  So I just said screw it and went with the Vanguard. Shotgun is awesome Yeah, I tried the infiltrator when I first started too, but it was too hard. The majority of your encounters are too close to be able to use the sniper rifle decently, so as a infiltrator, all you're left with is a pistol. I got frustrated not far into it and made a new character as a Soldier.. who can use a sniper, but every other gun too.

Mass Effect peeps
I bought the game off ebay a while ago. I play it every once in a while in spurts, haven't beat it yet but I think I'm close. It's a pretty fun game, interesting storyline.
