Adobe photoshop would have to be the program you're searching for. Jasc paint shop pro 8 is good for beginners.

Hmm... the thing that makes it horrible is the that BIG SAMPLE text in the middle... actually i think it looks pretty good. It's not that bad. It's quite nice actually.

The blending is good but I don't think pink/light blue really suits linkin park.

Well, you'd have to upload a new one as soon as you get new stats. It's a solution though.
