  1. Try hooking the headphones up to the computer, not thru the speakers. I don't know why you would want to reroute them in the first place
  2. They basically redirect certain websites... So say you are trying to get to yahoo.com, it will take you to badsite.com instead. It can also install a bunch of worthless junk on your browser, and be a huge hassle to get rid of... Just use adaware, spybot, and what not in safe mode to get rid of it  If remenets of it stil lremain, post a HJT log

  4. Also, you really should scan for spyware and virus's in safe mode. To do this, restart and press F8 repeatedly untill it prompts you how you would like to start up... Use the up\down arrows to select 'safe mode' and hit enter. Log onto the admin account, and then scan for everything.
  5. Just a suggestion, but try clearing your cache... other then that, I am lost  sorry
  6. use the steam forums. http://www.steampowered.com it has very elaborate details on how to make CS videos if you search there. If you want to just record one, open the consol and type 'record NAME' then when your done recording type 'stop' When you want to watch it, go in your consol and type 'play NAME' If you want to edit it and make it look like the professional CS vids you see on sites such as ownage.com and cs-flics.... then you will have to download something to use the .dem file created in the CS folder, and your going to have to get real good with a movie editor like Adobe Premiere or something... Like I said though, there is loads of info on the steam forums. Good luck!
  7. Yes, "big whoop." I LOVE the RS music. And also at the time I was thinking of my old computer. It had lots of great stuff on there, and this computer is sooo much better, but the old comp has stuff that's better than on here. Every browser has its strengths and weaknesses. Although IE does have very few strengths, I'll admit. I didn't know people actually listened to this music... I will once in a great great great *gets ready to copy \ paste* once in a while... when I cook, that is about it. Now I want to take a player poll
  8. Lol... gee I wonder why? Anyways, I like the sig, and good luck
  9. Look on the media baord for this, they have stickies and what not about what to do
  10. So your current best bet is: 1) Update JAVA & Firefox, see if it helps 2) getting a faster computer or playing on low detail or turning off other programs you run in the background 3) Nag Jagex to make their code use less CPU. In the mean time, volunteers from all over the world will be working on a lot of stuff for Firefox, including trying to fix your problem :). I don't think it is jagex's code, I think it deals something with java designed to take 100% cpu no matter... or so I have heard
  11. The client he means, which uses Internet Explorer
  12. The animations thing is a feature that comes with it, and can easilly be turned off. Search the boards if you want to know how, because I personally don't but I know it has been post many times Other then that, no idea's are coming to my mind at the moment
  13. I am not familular with ME sorry, all I know about it is that it destroyed my friends computer
  14. Definitly get a new video card, on board cards are generally poo (not all of them though, as studies have been done on some cards getting veryhigh bench marks) If you really want, get another stick of 512 DDR RAM, thought I only have 512 and it runs fine. Celeron processors are budget processors, not suggested for gaming, but I wouldn't necessarily junk yours. First off, get the new card for sure (I would spend anywheres from 150 to 300 on a new card for that computer) If you get another stick of RAM, put that in as well and try gaming for a while... if you are still as stuborn as a mule get the new processor (the price range I am not sure, but you can easilly find plenty of places to buy from in the sticky about 'good places to buy from')
  15. No this is just a bug... I believe it has been fixed if you have the newest version. It had something to do with java.... I think? I just know that I can type fine in it, but if I play RS while typing on the forums it goes crazy. I suggest downloading the newest version, of not only firefox, but of everything you have. Internet Explorer (even if you don't use it) windows, virii dictionaries, and spyware dictionaries.
  16. What are you talking about? Firefox surpasses internet explorer by a long shot... Not only the security issues, but the features.... The one and only draw back I know of, is it can't place sound in RS... big whoop? I don't use RS sounds anyways... I would rather have my computer as well as all the vital information on it be secure then have 27 trojans and 1000's of other corrupt files containing spyware... Honestly, I have a hard time believing you know what you are talking about at the moment...
  17. People do this alot. Many times they will be... say... editing a video on one monitor, and browsing the desktop on the other, or looking though differnt clips... or something, you know?
  18. Sounds wierd... try using firefox, as well as scaning for spyware and virii. Try posting a HJT log too, if you don't know how to do any of the formerly mentiong things, look at the stickies on this forum
  19. 1.) Boot up in safe mode To do so>> Restart you computer, then hit f8 repeatedly untill you come to a screen asking how you would like to boot up. Use the up\down arrows to select 'safe mode' (this will make it so only needed programs will start, hence trojans won't start, therefore you can delete them) Once it boots up, it will ask you what you want to log on as, choose the administrator account... 2.) Rescan with norton 3.) delete all infected file 4.) Run adaware, spybot, ect...
  20. Um... if you getting a new computer I will take that one off your hands for you lmfao... That is a plenty good system, infact very close to what I have, and I can run HL2 and such just fine. There is no real need for a new system... that one should last you untill the next generation of gaming.. What video card do you have? Maybe that is your problem... or your connection? I don't know, but I sure as well wouldn't toss that computer, because i you want something better then that you will prolly end up throwing out $1200 for everything brand spanking new, top of the line.... I suppose you could pick up another 512 stick, and if you really feel the ned, buy a new processor... other then that, you are crazy Oh, and to find your video card just do start > run > dxdiag > display tab > chip type
  21. http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ You could also try Opera (http://www.opera.com) Both are internet browsers (like internet explorer). Both offer more control over the way you browse, block popups, control cookies, are not as susceptible to malicious programs, etc. Which one you prefer depends on taste. :-) Firefox is 'teh leet' Opera is 'teh suxorz'
  22. boot up in safe mode with networking, then try... To do this, restart and quickly hit f8 repetedly. Then you should come to a screen asking how you would like to boot up. use the up\down arrows to select 'safe mode with networking' then hit enter. Log on the administrative account, and then try downlong and running the stuff
  23. Why not upgrade what you already have? Chances are all you would need are a better video card and some RAM. Post the specs you have now, and lets see what you can do with it...
  24. Yuppers, sounds like your assumption is right. In that case, try download.com to get HJT, adaware, spybot, ect.
