I started in May 2005 - not even a year yet.

I'm indifferent about pures but I know I don't want one. I don't PK so there's no point in spreading my experience out over a few accounts when it could all go into one and achieve a higher level.

I'm surprised you don't get called "Ocelotbrain" Haha well I'm glad I don't. :)

My in-game name is Ocelotbren and I get called a few things: - Ocelotbren - Ocelot - Bren (which is actually a name I go by so it's fine) - Oce - Level And so on. People misspell "ocelot" a lot too though.

Same here, I'm not AFK but sometimes I'm woodcutting or fishing or something and I don't want to have to move the mouse just so I won't logout. I'm still sitting at the computer playing the game but I sometimes take my hand off the mouse for a while. Despite that, I still like the auto logout; I'm not THAT lazy that I can't move the mouse every once in a while while I'm watching my character catch fish.

I fyou read a howto on that there is no fun in the game anymore True, but if you're going to ask a question about it then you obviously aren't worried about that. A sticky with the answers would be helpful to some then, including those who answer the questions because they won't have to repeat themselves everytime someone asks the same question... I'll try read through the Help and Advice forum more though. :D

I have a few very good friends who I talk to all the time and trust. I have lots of friends that I don't know as well but we say hi sometimes or hang out. A lot of the time it's people I met and helped with something, and I've now become friends with. Of course there also the people I add but never talk to again. They get removed eventually; if I'm not going to talk to them again then...

I don't know that I agree about being bribed into being someone's girlfriend like that (even if it is just in a game). But I'm definitely not interested in having a boyfriend online...

Hah I wish they would censor it. Just think of what the chat would look like... I don't understand how there's an exact definition of "noob/newb". I mean, maybe a lower level or someone new to the game is a newb but I think "noob" is kinda pointless now.

:lol: Wow, you know you scam too much when... I can't believe he actually did that... As far as scams I've seen, they've just been the usual password/armor trimming/staff impersonation ones. :roll: I've tried to intervene when someone's actually getting scammed though. Seems to me they usually believe the scammer and not me however..

I'm with you on the J-Pop and orchestra music. I play on high detail but I keep the midi music off. I listen to it the odd time just cause... But mostly I listen to my own music or nothing at all.

You're a poet and you didn't even know it! :) I'd say random events are completely random, except maybe that by weird coincidences they come at the times they do, making them seem to have triggers. Just like rune med drops from lessers, there was a topic on that and how a bunch of people got them all at once, but I'd say it was just very coincidental that they got them when they did. Same goes for random events. Although I'll admit, the times that I sometimes get them make me wonder...

I'm F2P so, full Saradomin with rune longsword. It's kinda weird to see so many people (well, not that many...) say longsword because everywhere I go I see scimitars, and sometimes battle axes. A lot of people ask me why I use longsword as if it's not a good weapon. I like it... *End off-topicness*

This sounds much like me! That is, until I finally broke down and trained range a bit. Although you have me beat, mine stayed at level 1 for a very long time. :) Heh and this sounds very much like me also! I fish, cook them, combat train (almost always by myself), bank the drop items, and it's back to fishing again. I know what you mean; Me, Myself and I are very good company! :P

I'd say I'm self sufficient because I fish for my own food for combat training and I don't buy raw materials; I get them myself. I don't buy them because I find it's like cheating myself of the experience (and the money :wink: ), so when combat training, I get woodcutting, fishing, firemaking, cooking and combat experience. I know, the woodcutting and firemaking experience I get is next to nothing, but it adds up in the end and every bit helps eventually. Same with other skills, I like to get the raw materials on my own because I get the experience from it and I don't have to buy them. Unfortunately, it takes a much longer time... It pays off in the end though, in my opinion. EDIT: And I think you mean 'How do you get by in RuneScape'.

I don't remember what level I was when I first got a genie, but coincidentally, I got one just now. I was a pretty low level when I first got one though; I'd guess it was between levels 5 and 15.

The problem with this is that if he talks to this 'friend' online about this, then it will most likely come out in the open that he told someone his password. I don't know if Jagex would actually think of this as account sharing, but it's just something to think about. :? I'm not positive, but I think it's against forum rules to mention someone's exact username.

Just out of curiosity, are you F2P or P2P?
