  1. I honestly don't see how the naturalization process is unfair, especially since they apparently administer the tests in Spanish now. An immigrant who is moving to the United States should adopt our culture and our language if they want to live here anyway; it's just the right thing to do when you move to another country. Our culture is in shambles, so obviously people are going to be for these tight immigration laws. We want them to conform. Otherwise, they're a threat to what remains of the Anglo-American culture. The WASPs came out dominant on this continent, so English is obviously the language of the majority. It doesn't sense to make copies of everything in Spanish and place them underneath the English signs. The only good thing that it does is force people to learn a secondary language, but it also creates a lot of tension between Anglophones and non-Anglophones. Are you really that stupid? You can't even TAKE the test so stop talking about it like every immigrant can automatically take the citizenship test. If it was that easy, they would do it. Come on. Secondly, if you're worried about your WASP culture, wait a generation. Kids of immigrants are Americanized all right. Examples include me, my sister, and every Hispanic kid in my school. As for the dual-language signs part, I agree that public signs is pointless. But for the private sector, it's all about getting more customers.
  2. I never said he was unskilled, I never said to completely open the border, and I will not tolerate the degradation and insulting of my parents by some cocky know-it-all.
  3. This is truly pitiful coming a soldier. First of all you can't take a test because you're an unskilled nobody. Please read the last two pages. People aren't stupid. They'll much rather take a test than cross the desert and possibly die. I guess this is why the stereotype for marines are stupid because at this rate illegals seem smarter than Americans. And if we want to give the world democracy and our lifestyle (aka the "good" side of the military), why can't we just open up our borders a bit and let them worry about getting here and working their way up. Much less work on our part and we stick to the great Republican's "Do it your [bleep]ing self" philosophy. I don't see this applies. If you've done a crime chances are you've already done a crime sometime before. Works for illegals, legals, humans in general. Remember, people who want STAY here for good reason, won't do [cabbage] that makes them get kicked out.
  4. You do realize that was in the 70s? You forget what happened in New York City in September 11, 2001 that closed everything off, making coming in here legally harder. Unskilled civilians disguised as terrorists weren't even a thought at those times? Plus, how many Italians in the current age want to come to America? How many Mexicans? The immigration actually has a "limit" on how many people from what country can come here. Italians really weren't overcrowded in those lists. You know how that would be fixed? LEGALIZE THEM. They'll HAVE TO PAY TAXES if they're residents! Come on, it's not that [bleep]ing difficult. EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM concerning illegals and wasting American taxdollars will be eliminated IF we let them become residents. And they'll take it, don't think they won't. Those that won't take it ('cuz they don't want to pay taxes) are the criminals. Get that and understand that.
  5. Do you even know HOW they got citizenship? I will admit, it was easier during the 90s than now cuz of 9/11 and all. My parents entered illegally in 86 and 88 respectfully. The the only way they got residency, is because Bill Clinton issued a raffle to get them. Naturally, everybody wrote like 1000 letters and thank God my parents got picked. The second time they did that raffle you could only turn in one. The third time...well there wasn't any more. So, pre-9/11 it was easier to get in here. But we're talking about now. Post-9/11. I still know lots of people, hard working adults with families who weren't so lucky with that raffle or got here after 9/11. What about them? It'll take years for them to be able to apply for residency. Just recently one of my dads' employees is applying for it...after 15+ years living here. And that's still not a guarantee he'll get it.
  6. Immigration is actually very beneficial for the US because it gives us a cheap labor force willing to do hard work for [cabbage]ty pay. That's nice. Now we're talking about outsourcing American jobs and using foreigners for cheap "slave" labor. God bless our corporations. The point is that no Americans actually want to work as gardeners making minimum wage and 12 hour days. Immigrants are more than willing. I don't see the problem here. Who says there is a problem? Just get in legally. Heh. Thats the "endgame" response to basically everything. JUST GET IN LEGALLY. I mean [bleep] I'm sorry if life sucks wherever you live, but no one deals' fate's hand but fate itself. Read the other posts up top, Sarustupid. Or take a glance at the poster Magekillr posted. If you have no relatives in the US and unskilled, you have absolutely no practical chance of making in legally. Also, once you're in here, you could get a fake Social security card and pay taxes that way. Least then you're not working for crooks and have some sort of protection. Also, again, stop thinking illegal status as a crime. You both believe in the American dream and liberty, but one of you doesn't have papers? How does that make sense?

The point is that no Americans actually want to work as gardeners making minimum wage and 12 hour days. Immigrants are more than willing. I don't see the problem here. And truthfully I would want to see this economy grow rather than that of Chinas.
  8. Haha, no it's not. Who built the longest railroad of the time (Transcontintental Railroad)? Not Americans, Chinese. Who's currently building all your roads, highways, and construction? Hispanics. Who built the White House? Scotts. Who build the various bridges, buildings, and roads in New York City? Irish and Italians. So what are you trying to say here? WASPs made this country? The united people of this country, made and are making this country.
  9. You do realize if the working illegals here become residents they're going to have to pay taxes right? Not volunteering to pay taxes BUT ACTUALLY FORCED TO. You guys don't seem to realize that if an illegal who is working here, has a family, would LOVE to have a safeguard of means to stay in this country. They will put up with taxes as long as they can stay. You know who won't put up with taxes? Criminals and drug traffickers. Those you can kick out I'll no qualms with that.
  10. Life's tough, get over it. And if you got in here illegally, you have no right to be in here. So get the [bleep] out and try again. Just going to raise my hand and point out that the original European settlers in North America were as illegal as the Mexican illegals are now (leaving Europe to get away from a [cabbage]yy life and heading to a much better place which they had no right to). Nah but dude, you're forgetting live's tough. If the Europeans killed the Indians it is OK. Tough luck to the Indians you know?
  11. whattttt? When I needed to ween off the soda it's what I did. One 24 pack of aquafina, whenever I'd go to my room I'd grab one. If I was thirsty, I'd drink it. AMazingly I didn't want the soda, because I have the water RIGHT THERE. Also, my mom is a nutrionist and she says the body doesn't consider soda a liquid in the way it digests it, so when you're thirsty, it's like eating ice cream to quench a thirst... You do realize that a bottle of water is like, $2? And its a complete waste of money compared to drinking the tap?
  12. Try again how? Sneaking back over again? And don't [bleep]ing say "get citizenship" because poor farmers/jobless Latinos WON'T be issued any VISAS or residencies or nothing. If you're a doctor or engineer or something better, then yes you would. But why would your country when you're top-dog already? I don't get what you're trying to say with "life's tough". Not just because they come in America they're going to become rich and live life easily.
  13. Yes! Let's ruin more people's lives by continuing to fund the failed drug war! That will show them. Or, you know, we could legalize drugs and pump money into rehab, thereby taking away the drug cartel's profits and helping people who have a health problem, not a criminal problem. Congrats on missing my point. Who the [bleep] said I wanted more Drug War? Drugs won't ever go away and can't be stopped, so illegals won't ever go away and can't be stopped. If you can't beat them, join them.

Huh. When I went with my friends to pick up their tux, there was a Mormon there with 6 wifes just kissing his [wagon]. Tux stores attract religious nuts?
  15. I'm not going to support any anti-immigration laws until America or the states pass more anti-crime laws with their own people AND be more anti-drug. You're complaining about illegals commiting crimes here when you got whites and blacks doing [cabbage] here. You complain about drugs when whites and blacks from America make up the majority of the drug buyers of this hemisphere.
  16. All's fair in love and war.
  17. I'm surprised it's that high to begin with.

No it wasn't. No [bleep]ing way that was 67. It felt more like 43-49.
  21. I never expected somebody would say the Sim Cities music as "greatest of all time". Grats on being the first!
  22. No offense, but are you guys playing stupid? Don't feed the trolls. <_<
  23. Confront him man to man. [bleep] him and make sure you date gets some tough skin too. Said yes even if she didn't want to go? WTF's wrong with people nowadays?
  24. Lolwut...? I dunno, guess they're looking for kids smoking? I can't believe people would still use the bathrooms, that's so old-fashioned. I remember a couple of years ago the J-Building Bathroom was the place to smoke pot at Mondays.
  25. Two great manuals right there. The Warcraft 1,2,3 and WoW had so much lore stuff in it. And detailed background information of units and buildings. AoE2 had interesting historical background info of the units, technology, and buildings. It makes a great quick-read. This is such an ironic thread though. I was JUST off reading some of the old Warcraft RTS manuals thinking "They sure don't make them like these anymore."
