  1. Nothing to laugh at...Close friends of mine met on R.S. and became bf and gf in the game.....and later they married in real life had thier first child about a year ago...Heck, I met my husband in another on-line forum and will be celebrating my 8th wedding anniversary in June. Weirder things have happened.
  2. I joined RSD many moons ago looking for a tight knit community. Anyone familiar with the history of RSD knows it was here, then gone then here again and when it came back I rejoined...but the "flavor" is different now and I left many moons ago. It just isn't want I personally was looking for. Why I remian clanless??? The drama...It gets old fast. My desire to be in a clan is the same as my desire to play RuneScape...to have fun. When it stops being fun it isn't worth the effort to me. Yes, I do host a forum for the elderly of RS but it is just a forum, not a clan...I don't know that I will ever try clan life again...Being solo suits me just fine...
  3. There is another thread here titled "What's the point to being in a Clan?" that could of had the potential to become a good discussion but instead fizzled out before it started due to the "that's stupid" attitude. Instead let us attack this from a slightly different angle and post here what being in a clan means to you. Are you in it for the community? To pk with larger crowds? Friends invited you? Why do you stay with it or why did you just give the whole thing up? What do you like? or dislike? about clans...What inprovements would you make in the clan community if you could...Etc. Etc.
  4. I never saw any rule in the Jagex rules that said anyone had to buy anything...for sure not Ess. Just doing slayer keeps me in more ess than I will ever use...and I for sure never buy it....Lord help me if I ever mine it. Mullein
  5. As a member I never bought ess anyway...nor did I ever mine it. I get so much from doing slayer in noted form there never was a need to buy it. I applaud Jagex for trying to do something to curb the macroers though it is to be seen how much of a dent this will actually put into it. I am just glad it isn't me that has to try to figure out how to fix such a massive abuse problem...I for sure think this is a step in the right direction. As always the bad people have made a situation where the solution will effect the honest players as well. We have always had to deal with it. But they are trying to do something and that is always better than ignoring the issue. Mullein
  6. Fishing is a good way to just hang out and chat with people.
  7. There are times when you set on this side of the screen and know what you have to do and really wish you didn't have to do it. But as I discussed with okiebrian, leaving it would of opened the flood gates for the abusers. Better we follow the rules to a "T" than face the mess that will happen if certain types see that post and think...Great! now it's my turn! It is sad that the community has been abused to the point that such rules have to be in place at all. But until everyone decides to be a healthy community rather than a social leech we have to have them. I commend you on your willingness to help out a fellow player and had planned to do so myself but you had beat me to it. As you said...the gp and pick are worth the risk to find an honest player. Next time realize what you see isn't always all there is to it. There is always somethig you don't see going on behind the curtain.
  8. I made this into a poll which will make it much easier to keep track.
  9. I own a defense pure and well...can't say I am a pker of any sort but I get to laughing so hard I fall out of my chair when people "my lvl" try to kill me... For me it is just something to play with and an oddity...no clue if it would have any real value in the wildy other than giggles.
  10. I would of taken him by boat and not over the mountain... Just a thought if the same situation comes up again... Though now I just zap them to whereever they need to go... Muahaha (((hugs her mage lvl)))
  11. The funniest situatiuon was when I was on my noobling training and someone claimed thier main was me (Mullein) I didn't say anything I just logged out and brought Mullein on... All I said was...I am here to tell you that you are not me...I am the only me there is. LOL Got a good laugh from those in the area... Needless to say the boaster left in a hurry. :D
  12. Stop for a minute and think about this... Yes it was a mod and yes you know what he said...and yes as a mod he or she probably ought to watch thier P's and Q's better...But...Do you really want this to be an issue? Because if you managed to get Jagex tighten the rules and come down on the mod those same rules would apply to the general public as well and all letters even remotely related to a cuss word would get you banned or muted or strung up with a wet rope in some dark basement somewhere. Seems to me if you would want a mod to not make an issue out of you saying for example: OMG it's a d-Chain!!! Then you ought to offer the same to other players...mod or not. Because in the end that is what mods are...other players...just ones with slightly better reporting systems. Mully
  13. [sarcasim On]Oh for sure...Lord knows lag wouldn't of locked her up. Or some other disaster with her connection. All autoers have purple party hats in thier packs...that is just a known fact.[sarcasim Off] Again...Dying doesn't make you an autoer...
  14. If indeed these two where working together they may of from time to time as they "worked" an area, pretended to trade to help lay a foundation for thier scam. I know that is the only thing I can guess about it and I do hope you took a moment and report both of them. Leave it to Jagex to sort this out but for sure it looks like a scam...and a well worked scam at that. Not a smart scam...just a well worked one.
  15. It is easy enough to click a rock just as someone in real life comes to talk to you and for some odd reason wants and deserves your full attention...Mom wanting the trash taken out, Dad demanding to know when your getting a job so he can retire and live off you instead of you living off him, Husband wondering where his clean socks are, Kids wanting to show you the last masterpiece they created in school, cat knocking over a pile of cd's and scattering them all over the floor...Best friend banging on the door to show you some new gizmo they bought at Wal-Mart... Having a life that always manages to pull you attention off the game at the worse possible time doesn't make you an autoer...It makes you human. Now, the real question here isn't if he was autoing but if you as a citizen of RuneScape, being so sure he was an autoer, took the time to file a report? Without everyone working for a common goal of cleaning up the game no amount of programing and no number of mods will ever be able to do it all. It takes the efforts of everyone. Mully
  16. I read your first post and do not have time right now to read everything between it and this post here. But my advice is to contact customer service and explain you use a router and that this is all family. Be persistant and contact them once a day until you get it sorted out. It is a pain but if your polite and persistant you can get it worked out. In the mean time do a major security scan of your computers to be sure there isn'T some program or ad thing that may result in the reading they are getting that you have a third party program...clear your cache, clean your history, run scans for adsm cookie and viruses to be sure your clean. The best of luck Mullein
  17. Mr. Tiddles...my luv... :D (pokes around in your bank) You don't happen to have 3k mith floating around doing nothing??? Someone you know is about to make 98 smith...
  18. They are also very profitable to pk...doesn't take much...half a day to build a decent lvl 20 to 30 player...full bronze and your in business. Muahaha :D
  19. Easiest way to make everyone happy is for you to just create a new char if your bored and start over...and leave the lvl chasers thier game as it is. :D Signed Lvl Chaser
  20. Droolman, You don't know me other than the occasions our paths have crossed in the game but I wanted to take a moment here and just say...you will be missed. I spent 2 days looking for you on the hiscores when I looked at where I was because we are generally neck and neck and there has always been a soft bit of compitition from my end as I played and would see wether it was me or you in the lead that day. It is a sad day for me indeed because even though we never knew each other you where a small part of my game and a person that had my respect. I would hope that in the end this all gets sorted out for you and your daughter. Give her a hug for me, I can just imagine how heart broke she is. Anyway, just wanted to send you my best. (((Hugs))) Mullein
  21. :D ROFL Cute...funny! and cute! you "got" me!
  22. This is the lastest tactic used by people to get your gp...well...not so new but heavily in use right now. Do not do any trades unless in a bank or other safe area. Period. Something looks fishy...don't fish there.
  23. And yes, those people that use the instant soup mix rather than make thier soup from scratch really annoy me. But what can the head chef do? Instant soups are avalible all over and lazy people are attracted to the dream of being a real soup maker even if they cheated to get there. I think the head chef does the best he can with the situation and works hard to make the kitchen a fun place for all the serious soup makers. ...but I thought this thread was about soup...written by long time soup makers and not about the fake soup in a box people. Gads...next thing you know we will be talking about Chili or worse...Stew! :D
  24. Soup Do you like soup? Most people do, least I know I do. Matter of fact I am a long time soup eater and can make over 350 different varieties of soup. We could eat soup everyday, breakfast, lunch and supper and seldom ever eat the same soup twice in a year. Thing is, even though I like soup, even though I actually adore some soups, I still prefer to not eat soup everyday as soup will quickly become to boring. And rather than slam out a new soup everyday wouldn't it be better if I re-thought those soups that where okay but not quit right? Maybe mix new spices or veggies and take an okay soup and make it fantastic? No one here is saying they do not like soup...they are saying instead maybe we could do with a little less soup all the time And that maybe we can re-think some of the older soup recipes and make them better and maybe, just maybe instead of soup all the time we can shoot for a hamburger now and then or who knows??? Maybe even a steak dinner with all the trimmings. Regardless, I prefer to savor some of my soups and if you give me new soups all the time I feel pressed to go sample them rather than spend the time I wanted to spend on the soups I discovered I enjoyed the most. And your right, soup is not hard to make. There are only two soups I haven't as of yet made...it isn't about them being hard to make but rather...I am still chewing on the last soup that was tossed my way and prefer to digest it before I sample a new soup. (burp) Excuse me  Mully
