Yep, this thread is for all you fans of CnC soundtracks. Be it the traditional Tiberian dawn music, like Act on Instinct or Just do it, some action - paced songs like those from Renegade, or pure war sounds like those from red alert 2. I recently picked up a copy of Red alert 3 soundtrack and if the game at least corresponds the music I listened to, I think someone here needs to upgrade his PC ... ;) But seriously. Does anyone know these game soundtracks and what are your favourite tracks, then?

The title says it most. I've been writing my fourth book recently and soundtracks like those from Command and Conquer series, Armageddon, Fight Club, Star wars, National Treasure and Gorky 17 significantly helped with writer's block. So I ask you, TIFers, whether you know of some epic soundtracks that are well made and inspirative. Also I am searching for some good house band, not exactly from the 80's 90' or so, but not some nowadays Cascadas or one hit wonders. I'm in the musical sphere where is Italo disco, Eurodance, Nu Italo disco etc. It looks, however, that these labels were all exhausted in the old times, as I've written before. And finally, some uplift trance would be appreciated too. Say, songs like Gouryella - Walhalla or System F - out of the blue. Thanks in advance :)

Those books you mention aren't bad at all, I read one from a Pickup artist called Carlos Xuma and it boosted my knowledge a bit. However, I've never been able to test it fully, the only visible advantage I got from it that I feel comfortable while doing those things. IDK, I always questioned whether it works or not, but never got an objective response.

Hey, I sorta like Coldplay. Maybe they remind me of my favourite electronic music, but meh. I find their songs very inspirative. The scientist was one extremely sad song, I still have memories for it Fix you is one "mood-improval" song, cool Yellow evocates thoughts and Speed of sound IS THE INSPIRATIONAL SONG. EVER. Anyway, I listened to their new album and there are some pretty cool musical pieces there. Like "Lovers in Japan/Reign of love", or "Viva la vida". Never listened through all their previous albums, though.

Could you explain this a little bit more? I don't understand what you mean by 'if you're not already talking to her by the time you hit three' I know a bit about this rule, so... Well. You see a girl and a voice in your head says "Hey, I'd like to date her (or whatever)". Then, you have to approach her in 3 secnds, because your conscious mind doesn't think of the consequences, or what-ifs of the situation. Like "What if she doesn't like me blah blah". However, after the third second, these thoughts kick in and you aren't likely to approach her right away, as you would before. After that, you succumb to planning, or unneeded shyness, things like that.

5 and a half hour from 2009 here in Czech Republic. 2008 has been a bummer for me, one of my books was finally praised by critics, got an important burst of confidence and how-to stuff, got a nice job... Hey, got some curious questions. I've been checking this thread for a while now, and I've been wondering if there are such things as good openers for, say, the high school age, by which a boy or a girl that previously didn't know each other get together or whether is it just the random meetings ( say, school, courses, work...) people get together on. I probably put that bluntly, but remember that english isn't my native language. Also, there's a whole lot of boys asking for advice how to approach a girl, so I've been wondering if the girls are just "being picked" or whether there are also girls approaching boys they like. I never seen that before, girls I know always told me they didn't have enough confidence to do that. So what's the truth behind this ? Lenticular you really met Billy Bob Thornton, huh? Or is it some kind of a joke similar to Chuck Norris references ? :)

There had been a lot of crazes at our school, however, the most funniest was this recent one. Being in a gang. I think there is nothing more hilarious than watching schoolmates wearing red bandanas and telling it to every teacher in school.

Hey sup. Currently, I'm in a pretty weird situation! You, if you know me a bit from this thread, have been going through one too many escapades for last 2 years, which are my second and third grade at high school. There has been over... Five attempts to have a girlfriend, whether from all the mixed interests such as curiosity, love, affection, chuffing from friends, and you know all the jazz. And all have failed. Nowadays, I got this apathical nature about girls. I just don't care for them, which is, as my friends say, pretty bad, because I'm in my best years for these "adventures". I've been thinking about it, and when I turn like 25 and more, it would just be this... "ordinary, traditional and prevalent" relationship. I could even get married. Duh. My best friend is sorta worried about me, since he is trying to help me in any way possible to "get on the track", though I probably seem stubborn. It's probably based on the "great depression" of my friendship with him. We were the best mates sharing the same interests, you couldn't find a better friend for me - and I had none such friend ever (yeah, probably 5 more a long time ago, but that's another story) . Year ago, we both attended dance courses, long story short, he "got" his gf from there, I miserably failed. Now I see he has been changing, while he is still on the similar vibe as me, he forgot some of our "worshipped things" - think "one day we purchase a DDR softpad", "one day we'll do a dance off in a club"... Those are minor things to a spectator, but they DO BIND the relationship between friends. I hate, utterly hate his gf, but never told him that. That, also with my other 4 "fails" had made my decision. I also think I do not have the basic 3 ingredients for a relationship: Time, Money, and Always good mood. I may have sometimes the 2 of those, but all 3 only seldomly. I'm worried about my writing "talent" also, because I think that if I got a gf, she'd "talk out" all these skills from my head ( imagine Platon's cave theory). I learned some attitude, so I think that if I really cared, I could "get myself happy(don't think anything bad)" as my friends say. But I don't have the motivation to do some effort on my part. I don't want to turn into 'ole molestin' Daddy Longlegs later in my age just because I had nothing these times... :( But,well, WHY BOTHER? Hey, what are your opinions? Hey, now I remembered one cool thing I did. A month back or so, I found a lost mobile telephone in our metro station. Nobody was searching for it, so I took it and found "mom" in the addressary. I phoned this woman, to which I returned the phone to like 10 mins later. I got only like 5 bucks from it, but hey

I sure hope so, I still am in the first page on this thread and there are a lot of different opinions. Not some forum high post count dude who defines the opinion of the board. As for me and communism, I am very unsure about it, since I wasnt really against it, but I read 1984 recently... ;) But hey, that could apply for the other political side, too. As for the work hard reap a lot, be lazy reap nothing... No. Just no. There are other factors, such as luck - whether you get the position you desire, whether there are many other people going for it, whether you had a chance to even think about it... Like our family. They have been educated Russian language, since Czech Republic was one time a member of the Warszaw pact ( I think :x ) and now, when english is the new great language, they simply didn't get the chance to learn it as fluently as the former. I'd go with socialism, but am not sure about communism. EDIT: Big brother is watching you :) About the next post... In communism, a broad audience of people knew that there are these watchers around them. In the new society, they are just figuring it out for themselves... Hey sup. I've been reading Dale Carnegie for some time, for all you guys who don't know who he was, lemme put you some wiki text here. Dale Breckenridge Carnegie (originally Carnagey until 1922 and possibly somewhat later) (November 24, 1888 November 1, 1955) was an American writer and lecturer and the developer of famous courses in self-improvement, salesmanship, corporate training, public speaking and interpersonal skills. Born in poverty on a farm in Missouri, he was the author of How to Win Friends and Influence People, first published in 1936, a massive bestseller that remains popular today. He also wrote a biography of Abraham Lincoln, titled Lincoln the Unknown, as well as several other books. Carnegie was an early proponent of what is now called responsibility assumption, although this only appears minutely in his written work. One of the core ideas in his books is that it is possible to change other people's behavior by changing one's reaction to them. He wrote several famous books, such as How to win friends and influence people, and How to stop worrying and start living. Stephen Covey and Howard Greene are writers who made books about the similar subject. So I've been wondering whether you people at OT acknowledge these writers and what do you think about them. From what I learned from How to win... blah blah, I think it's a pretty useful book, although some of you may condemn these books for reasons unknown. Maybe because they could TRICK AND MANIPULATE PEOPLE /scared. A man using this knowledge could be a good talker and persuader, true, but I don't sympathetize with this idea a lot and as I've said before, I am here for your opinions! So, what do you think?

Dang, I so envy your schoolies. We are planning a similar nonformal "trip" with my friends, but we don't know if we'll make it. Sounds you had a lot of fun, I so envy you :) Anyway about the thing... Be glad it's over, if you have had injured the media in anger, it would probably been worse :/
