  1. This isn't a case of my word against yours. Enjoy your ignorance. I never stated that I'm participating in such a case. I've simply decided not to discuss this further - I have seen the discussed matter in reality, you are telling me the matter in theory. It's like the communism thread. This is really all I can say. Have your last word, and hope it will smash my discernment into oblivion.
  2. Allright then. You'll keep your opinions, I'll keep mine.
  3. I admire that you have written about it, since that is something not many people would do. It reminds me of similar things, how I wanted to seriously kill that person. The cool thing is he is now a school dropout never getting a second chance, addicted on drugs and cigars, and I am an aspiring writer that will make something in life.
  4. I'd make it illegal for ideologues to force their moral views on others. I am not forcing my opinion on anyone. I believe this thread was made for people's opinions, and I haven't seen anyone "force" his opinion on anyone here. The "ideologue" part is just so hypocritical that I won't write anything about it. How can you tell I don't know what I am talking about? We can, however, question their minds and sanity as to why have they chosen to do such a thing. I was literally addicted to runescape like 5 years ago, but I have knocked it of after like a year or so - and I believe it was one of the addictions you are talking about ( assuming you saying that MJ is low in physical addicion, the other things are more addictable? Idk what you meant here). As I've said before, many people are advancing from marihuana to other drugs, and most of them aren't safe as marihuana would be - but saying that MJ is safe, well, I wouldn't even expect myself to say such a thing ;) I'm comparing. I could provide good proof, but since the internet opinions could be and are frequently based on bs ( remember "I could pwn you with my main" from RS ?), I doubt you'd believe me. But hey, I can tell. I'd never just shout my opinions without any backup evidence. Well, again. From what I've seen on people my age, drugs take the larger part of those that use them than alcohol does. The addiction is die hard, but I haven't seen anyone drink alcohol since they "have to". But I see your point older people could get addicted, for example because it makes them feel easier or forget trouble. I guess I could, since I am basing these opinions on my personal experiences, whether direct, indirect or just urban ( from school / work ). Who says that that knowledge wouldn't be valuable one day?
  5. Oh, I know. 42. Now seriously, I think the saying "you reap what you sow" is pretty true in this case. You can really make your life worthwhile or miserable. Some people feel happiness in getting drunk, some in art. But in the end, being happy is all we want(there are, however, exceptions) - we are "programmed" this way. I guess it's all about finding what you really want from life and getting it before it ends. I guess that can be selfish, but we live only once, so let's enjoy it while we can.
  6. I see your point. I do not live in the US, but in Czech republic and I am really not sure whether it is legal here or not. I have, though, seen a "coffee shop" never inspected by cops, because of reasons unknown that both of us can figure. You tell me that smoking marihuana makes people homeless. Is that caused by taste, or the good feeling, or the addiction? The addiction, mostly. People don't go homeless over, say, chocolate. Or pizza. Or trading cards(excluding poker and hazard games). Or idk, computers? But drugs, in which we may include marijuana (it's called mariHuana here, but I'll write the J if you like), make the addiction. I see you know some google-fu, so I won't post links, since you can find them without me. I don't see anything bad about having some weed after a hard day. But I have seen many people from school or work that begun their "drug-trip" on marijuana, advancing to cocaine and pervitin later. Pot effects on human body? I won't argue with that. No. Alcohol is a different manner. It doesn't make people addicted, although many may argue with me on that. Hard drugs surely do, easy drugs (like pot) do. Maybe less frequently and slowly, but they do. I presume the response to this will be like "I like drinking alcohol, does that mean I am addicted?" I know a lot of people that drink, as we Czechs say, "to a point". People can and should dirigue themselves while drinking, however drugs do most of the "work" for you. Sorry, we are studying microprocessors in school at this point. No programming languages so far. Since you are talking about cigsXjoints in your last line, I don't need to quote that one. And ATHF rocks.
  7. I am sorry, but I've already grown from beating people up unless in the case of self-defence. When someone bullies me, I'd go to the principal and make one massive **** for them to move in. Can't wait to do it again, since abusing me growing up this way absolutely deserves this.

  9. Guys, any advice for me appreciated. I made a post on the last page. Thx!
  10. Drugs, even marihuana. They make serious mess out of people, change and stereotype them. I know marihuana has medical uses, so I'd restrict her same as morphium is. Yes I smoked pot. Yes I've seen great people being wrecked by drugs. I'm not making this out of my A_s.
  11. Hehe. The american Pie and offspring were just metaphores, meaning nothing significant at all. The meaning of the road trip stays the same as described. Idk, we are a bit afraid of last minute planning since we may not figure anything out ( which I doubt, but hey ). However, it may prove to be a good idea after all.
  12. Hey. It may be bit early for this kind of topic, but what are your schoolies plans? I've heard schoolies are some kind of a road trip to a cottage during the Summer holidays, spending like a week or so there, while doing all kinds of crazy stuff, like getting drunk, and er- While doing all kinds of crazy stuff with your friends, enjoying life, summer, and all those things together. I've seen some responses here and there, but never seen a whole thread about schoolies. We do not have them officially here in Czech rep., but me and my five friends are planning one big road trip to one of our best beaches. A trip American Pie and Offspring style. However, one of my friends tells me "What to do there"? I think the answer is pretty obvious, you always find something, but he may be right - we'd better have a plan of what to do. We aren't associal, but the "better have a good program" is a thing better be taken seriously, we don't want to end up all day watching TV! So basically: What are your plans for the schoolies and What things could a band of 6 17 yr old dudes do so no one is bored? All ideas accepted and Thanks for replies, -K
  13. Hey, this is one cool topic, great idea, Rarex. And cool tips you give there. So... I've been exercising for like 2 years - my 9th grade year, freshman and second grade in high school. I suddenly stopped, probably because I didn't have enough time, or because I was going through some kind of general "change" - stopped believing in god and praying every night, having apathy for girls, gaining more confidence and self-esteem, ... A lot of those sudden puberty changes. When I flex my muscles at the mirror, I see that I have made some progress, mainly in the biceps area. It's hard when I push it, so it's not fat. However, I don't have enough time everyday to do these exercises and I'd love to get back on the track, since I liked the fact I was stronger ( first time I started working out was because I'd beat all my classmates in that hand-pushing game which even Sly Stallone was competitioning in one of his movies. Hehe.). Do you know of some good exercises that could get me back on the track? I remember doing 160 moves x2 (sp?) with a 3-kg dumbbells last time I exercised. Thanks in advance!

    Twilight.

I do not know much about twilight, I've seen a "5 second movie" and a "Bum review (thatguywiththeglasses.com)", plus some pics and flyers with it, and I have to say - I dislike this story a lot. There is nothing we haven't seen before there, and I'm sometimes getting my feeling as fate would laugh at me and my massive book project. Like, when this can go out and become a bestseller, why shouldn't my book? :( Oh, I probably sound jealous. I am. And I am also ready for some nasty responses. :?
  15. Well, I've seen the "Greatest joy" topic and this came to my mind a while after. It's not I'd be making this topic of rebellious nature, much like I apprehended the Fascism x Communism topic, I am purely curious what you people think. I think the worst grief is not to die, as most people would think, but living a life in addiction. Be it drugs, some action (say, football), girlfriend, friends, things like that - and then lose it forever. Those things made you happy, and then you don't have them, thus you became addicted and the lack of those things literally "stole your soul :D" and you want more, but it's somewhere between hard and impossible, you sorta "live for it". Much like RpgGamer said recently in the topic about nakedness. [hide=RpgGamer's quote] [/hide] Not saying this is the same as the stated corruption, but addiction seems very similar. So, what do you think that is the worst? This thread is not meant to be pessimistic as it looks, it's purely for voicing opinions.
  16. Well, I don't know what would be my entrance or ending, but I know several pretty good songs for that. Nightwish - Ghost love score Red alert - Hell march 1/2/3 Requiem for a dream theme ( the short version, the moaning at the beginning is just annoying ) FF8 OST - Landing That's from top of my head.
  17. In my experience, there is no best way. Sometimes you can try your best at getting to know someone and they just won't be interested in talking to you at the bus station. If the girl is interested in talking to you, then it doesn't really matter what you say. But I've found that harmless conversation, warming up to a decent conversation is a good way to break the ice. For example, if I knew a guy was blatently hitting on me, I would ignore him and give him brief, boring answers in hope he would stop talking to me. But if he asked how my day was going or "phew it's hot today!" or something like that, then warm up from there I'd be more inclined to warm up in my answers, also. Then again if he looked scary, it wouldn't matter what he said, I'd probably make an excuse to leave. If he were hot and got a decent vibe off him then he could talk about purple elephants and peanut butter, I'm in hook line and sinker. Once again, just my experience, every females is different. Very interesting things you put there. Thanks!
  18. Thanks for your reply, in the first one I'm talking about what's the best way, line, etc., when approaching a girl similar to my age, when there's no other available option around(such as in clubs dancing, etc.), say at a bus stop. I specifically said my age, since it always differs, I guess. Also, ok :) I guess it's different with each girl, I was just being curious if it occurs or whether I was just uninformed that such things happen. Thx!
  19. :D Hehe. So it's like I see a girl and including introduction and all those things, I basically ask her out, like you say. That's just it? And tnx for your reply!
  20. I know I am being a bit annoying and obtrusive, but can some1 tell me an answer to my 2 previous questions? I am really curious about the subject, since that is something I think about every once in a while. All answers appreciated :)
  21. When you make something and other people like it. The feeling when a well-known, good fantasy/scifi critic said only "Bravo" instead of a stinging review to me is just unforgettable. Also, it's great when your works give something to people that read/see it.
  22. Wrong, you still sweat, it's just very uncomfortable. The shirt helps by wicking away the moisture away from your body and therefore making it more comfortable. To be honest, that's the actual reason why shirts were invented :P. That is true, but I actually meant the air circulation on your body. While it's true that with little oxygen you still breathe the same dense, heavy air, I always felt more hot and sweaty when I had a shirt on than when I took it off. Maybe I just stated the thing wrong, I don't know.
  23. Right. All those hypothetical situations about morale, God, and etc. are really cool, but our morals have been already befined and I think those don't contribute to the discussion a lot. As for me... There is no big deal behind being topless, I look at the practical side more than to the ethical one. When you are on a beach, you don't sweat like you would if you had more clothes, same being in a overcrowded club, at home, etc., however I'd never go commando because as previous poster said, getting a tent. I find having clothes very practical, for example as some of you mentioned in cold weather, while working (apron, denims, etc. ) And I suppose a lot of people would never go on a nude beach ( sp? ), since they could see some things that couldn't be unseen. Same by me.
  24. "It is." "Watch out then, it may run from you!!" Yeah I kno. Someone has to state the obvious.
