  1. Ohhh yes. I simply have a bad case of writers block at this point in time...
  2. Why did AshKaYu ask me if I was French, you mean? Probably because I said 'dommage' in my response to Munpie and also possibly because I mentioned earlier that I had written half of my sixth chapter in French. xD
  3. I taught myself French a couple of years back. Apparently I'm pretty good at it; people keep thinking I'm from France. 8)
  4. @archimage_a: I'm sorry for never replying to your PM, my computer crashed after I'd written out a several-page response. Then, I tried again, and it crashed...again. Got fed up with it. :wall:
  5. So um.. is chapter seven coming anytime at all? I was quite enjoying the plot, and am curious as to how it all will end. Ps- Didn't say anything earlier for fear of rushing you  , but it's been a while so I thought I'd ask. Dommage! I always forget to update unless people bug me. So, please annoy me about it, the more often the better.

I had a good friend on Runescape who stopped playing RS for Guild Wars. But anyways, I have had no experience with it.

Japanese vocabulary is difficult to remember, although the grammar is ridiculously easy...
  8. If he doesn't come, I may be forced to PM him... >.O
  9. I do not think that was meant literally. I think it is a spiritual sense. As in how a person's soul is always dying in this world full of suffering and death. I don't mean to insult you, but I found it quite obvious that he didn't mean that literally. I thought he was talking about entropy, myself...and entropy is physical. It was my impression that he was saying that from the moment one is born, one gets closer to death.

I'm just wondering, if you know Spanish, is it really easy to learn Portuguese after that? I really want to learn both languages. And is it just me, but does anyone else think Portuguese sounds a tiiiiny bit like Russian? Portuguese is like Spanish spoken with a Russian accent. I find it funny.

TeachmeFinnish! -.- That's the next language I intend to learn. Finnish is possibly the coolest language ever. I currently only know how to say one thing in it (and I can only write it without the accents) Pudota aseesi ja antaudu! 8)

Overstate your problems with the current computer, nag them for months, or a combination of the two.
  13. But...but...but... I like my desktop! :(
  14. *chuckle* okay, their salads are a few of the things I do like. As far as my daughter, well, typical Happy Meal food is just great with her. oh yeah-- they used to have adult Happy Meals, didn't they? Salad. Bottle of water. Step counter for a cool toy. Hehehehe. Used to? I was under the impression that they still do. Anywho, their salads are spiffy.
  15. Thats because those kids usually get beat up... As for me, in elementary school I always wore collared shirts and kinda shortish shorts. The worst part was until 4th grade I had the ugliest mullet (shudders). Mullets are tangible evidence of evil.
  16. Eh... heheheh... hehhhhehhhh Heh.. Eh.. heh... wewtness It's true! I also wear medieval cloaks in various Day-Glo colors.
  17. I don't generally follow the trends. I invent my own style. Which, when I think of it, is pretty bad. But hey, at least I'm unique; you don't catch anyone ELSE wearing Viking helmets made of origami and duct tape.

All languages are inferiour to French.

Ooh, I want to learn Finnish! @Necromagus: If we have, I wasn't aware; I'm fairly new to these forums.
  20. 16 isnt too young, i know people your age that speak English, French, German and Dutch great I'm studying my fourth language; I'm already an amateur linguist. I meant officially, though. As in, a job.
  21. Yay, a fellow ketchupaholic! I think it may be the packaging they have in restaurants; for some stupid reason, things in different containers taste different. Try tasting milk that's been in a paper carton, then milk that's been in a plastic carton; It may be the lack of refrigeration in restaurants; they just let it sit. If all else fails, pilfer as much ketchup as you can from your favourite restaurant.
  22. I intend to become a linguist; however, I'm only 16 years of age.

What languages does everyone here speak? I speak English (my native language), French (almost fluent), Japanese, (semi-fluent), and now I'm studying Russian.

If you just try to make use of their language, they will be friendly people. I imagine that all of those 'Death to English!' signs were made out of irritation with the English speaking tourists who, on discovering (after speaking English to them) that the Quebecois do not, in fact, speak English, yell louder in English to try to make them understand.
  25. I say that that's the reason we need to use proper grammar and spelling; the vast majority of those who speak English as a second language won't know what you're babbling on about if you're speaking Idiot. NO, in fact this is the Exact reason why people do not construct english well, because of the fact that they are of different demographics and age. Someone who speaks english as a third language isnt going to put on faux shakspearian parlance just to satisfy and make happy a random person in America they do not know and will never meet Stop judging peoples writing, its democratic, every human is free to do what he wants as long as he is happy, not go stiff necked to ensure another persons happiness at his own expense. Someone who speaks English as a second language is, however, familiar with the PROPER FORM of the words; they are not familiar with the bastardised Internet version. I have encountered this problem in my own experience; as I said earlier in the topic, I did not know what was being talked about when a French speaker said 'keske vu fet' instead of 'Qu'est-ce que vous faites?'. I didn't understand them; I had to ask them what they meant. It is no different with those who speak English as a second language; many of my French-speaking friends have reported trouble with Internet slang.
