  1. I've had a lot of such experiences. xD
  2. The Silence of the Lambs. That movie rocked. o_o
  3. Constantly. xD In fact, it's rare for me to listen to English music.
  4. WAY TO GO!
  5. Bad, bad, BAD neighbour in my case. The FIRST DAY we moved into our house, he began to shoot blanks from his gun. Apparently shooting blanks is not illegal...but dogs barking too much is. As soon as our dogs had barked for over five minutes (the legal limit) he called the police on us. When we've let these dogs out, we've caught him behind the house harrassing our dogs to make them bark, with his phone in hand. He's also called the cops because we had some weeds on the side of our house that had grown a little too long. He plays "music" so loud that it literally makes our house shake; it's also really bad and filled with swearwords. He often does this all night long, lending us no sleep. He often comes out of his house and starts screaming expletives and bigotted remarks. Kind of like Mel Gibson. He's upset a good number of people by swearing at their children. We're trying to figure out what it takes to have the man admitted for examination at a mental hospital.
  6. I'm Mebera's sister and I watched the whole thing. Little brothermunchkin is having issues with uploading the images...so here they are. Also, before the screenshots started (I gave him that idea), my little brother was recording what was being said on paper... Here is the written record of the conversation. This is where the screenshots started. Brothermunchkin writes sloooowly.
  7. It no work.
  8. Level ONE. D: xD Actually, I'm a good artist; I was accepted into an art college at the age of twelve! No, I'm not good at scribbling, though. xD
  9. Went psychotic, attacked my brother. My toe still hurts.
  10. I'm very curious about Dark and Light, myself. However, I'm not sure if my computer could hold up to it well, so I'm waiting to hear how it runs.
  11. I want that book. However, I don't give out any personal details on the Internet.:(
  12. I don't think it really has one.
  13. Even I knew what 'Perkele' means. xD It's a rather strong swearword.
  14. But can you conjugate 22 tenses with each viewpoint having a different ending? It is reasonable to say that over half of French verbs are irregular, as well. xD French verbs even confuse the natives.
  15. A cue indeed. In my experiences and in my studies, the vast majority of these cues are linguistic; I know that when I hear certain words (such as "surrender"), certain thoughts are triggered (the etymology of the word, in this case). But if I were to forget these words, the thoughts and memories behind the words would become meaningless and confusing and it is pretty sure that I would forget them, just because the words have been forgotten. And that is the point of this thread.
  16. Dutch has never seemed hard to me.:o If you want a great, hard language, go for Russian. It will make you run screaming back to your German grammar books. I know it did that with me (except it was Japanese grammar books). If you like verbs...really, really, REALLY like verbs, maybe you should try French? xD I bet I could out-linguaphile YOU any day.8-)

Russian grammar! ^o^ One chapter will keep you confounded for days.
  18. I believe that most of us would be able to agree that, as Juliet (from Shakespeare's play) put it, "That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." I have no intention of explaining this in the context of the play, but this is how I interpret it in a linguistic context. For my example, I'm going to use the word for 'car'; the word for 'rose' is too similar in most languages. In English, obviously, the word for 'car' is 'car'; in French, it's 'voiture', in Japanese, it's 'kuruma' (sorry, my computer doesn't support Japanese characters). In Russian, it's 'ÃÆÃ
  19. xD Yes, the mood reactions can be quite brutal. At any rate, what were YOU on it for?
  20. xD My mom kept them as a joke, sent them to camp with me to put them in a scrapbook (yes, she's twisted). D: Some of the other people found them, even though I tried to bury them in my suitcase. Fortunately, it was a camp for kids with IBD. xD So you want me to post them, eh? Somehow I doubt that any of you would want to see THAT.

I play it and I'm horrible at it. xD The worst of the worst, I am.:
  22. Colonoscopy photos.8-) I'm willing to bet that nobody else on tip.it has pictures of their own bleeding intestines.
  23. Of course it is. My take on it is that when an optimist expects the best and gets the worst, they're disappointed, and that when they get the best, that's just meeting their expectations. But when a pessimist expects the worst and gets the best, then they're in for a nice surprise. ;D
  24. I start college on the twenty-first.:D I'm so excited!
