  1. Honestly.. I would skip those. Also, you could check out this guide on slaying dragons: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=716694
  2. Has our entire admin staff been browsing 4chan? This is very disappointing... why would we show support for that site? And the rick roll is old news, I thought it was dead. Meh. Happy April Fools.
  3. They have personal messages for a reason, you two. ... Personally, I've enjoyed the Dwarf quests, along with the Goblin quests. I just haven't gotten around to The Chosen Commander yet, but the next one in the Dwarf series should be good. ;)
  4. To expand.. spectres in the Smoking Kills Dungeon under Pollivneach, only if you have the Slayer Helmet. Ice Trolls are good to cannon. I haven't played much lately so I'm still a bit rusty on Slayer knowledge. Looking in the Slayer guide.. Dagannoths are great and fast to cannon. You probably won't break even, but you can make back maybe 1/4 of what you spent if you get some snapdragon seed drops (assuming they are still up in price).
  5. Exactly what I'm saying. Well put.
  6. An 11 year old is not incapable of picking or forcing a lock, finding a key, finding a hiding spot, nor pulling up a chair to reach a high-up spot.
  7. No. I would like to provide a counter-argument. Yes. What if he did put up the gun? What if he did teach his child not to play with them and all the general gun rules? What if he did pay enough attention? Only one of your arguments stand valid with the information provided, and that is that he may have not been paid much attention to, because of the jealousy. In regards to the quote, the only logical assumption that can be made based on the information is that he was jealous that all of his father's attention was going toward somebody else other than him. In regards to teaching him about gun safety and whatnot- let's have an example. Say someone goes to get a gun license and is taught how to properly shoot it, carry it, handle it, and the ethics and morals involved with owning and operating a gun. They get their license and their gun, and go on their merry way. So, later, that person winds up maliciously killing someone in their sleep. Should the person who gave them their license be charged with anything? Should the killer's parents be charged with not teaching him about a gun? But this is all subjective. The article really doesn't provide enough information to form a validated opinion. We would need to know how the child acted, thought, and was raised- among other things- to really form a good opinion. And you do realize that they put child rapists and sex offenders in protective segregation, right? It's like throwing a piece of meat to refined vegetarian pit bulls; they still love the taste of meat.
  8. Q3 is great just to load up a game and blow away some bots with the rocket launcher. :) But I don't know where the Q3 inspiration is. Mind telling me? I was actually inspired by a desktop I've seen posted here in the desktop thread. It had vertical bars, each contained one app in the Adobe Suite. I wanted to go for something like that, just not so bright. Oh and Jopie.. I tried black and white and it didn't really look all that well. It may be the way I'm doing it (editing hue/saturation and color balance).. I may be doing it wrong. I'm not well versed in PS.
  9. I used PS. And I like the dark scheme. Bright colors on the desktop get kind of annoying. The darkness kind of dims the details and you have to really look to see anything (there's nothing hidden in there, though). There is a giant "J" on the right side- for my name. :)
  10. We might fight for more rules and regulations on it, but when it comes down to it, I think that many of the people who do own guns will be too lazy/apathetic/unconcerned to really enforce the rules on themselves. Because the only time they would get in "trouble" is after the fact of something like this.
  11. The desktop I made for myself. Looks pretty good in my opinion. Just wondering what you guys thought. [hide=][/hide] This is it with my icons fit snugly inside. [hide=][/hide]
  12. There was toothpaste on the gun. He was a little hasty. No just kidding.
  13. Don't try to pin that on the father, Nancy Grace. Whether he had a gun license or not, the kid still would have shot her.
  14. Yes, they did. If you have membership for a year with lapses of non-membership for no more than 14 days, you get a loyalty rate of $5. It's on their website, just search for membership FAQ or billing FAQ. I didn't really pay attention if they said "you quit for more than x days you lose the low rate" part, because at the time of the update, I had no plans of quitting. I agree that it is very kind of them to have the loyalty rate. However, I don't think this thread implies that I think I'm better than everyone else. It's 95 cents, big freaking deal. It wasn't the monetary value I was concerned about. I'm not going to argue with you though, because it's stupid and pointless and wouldn't get either of us anywhere.
  15. Chris Brown in the news again.. ..Sounds like a sociopath to me. He shoots her and then runs off for the school bus. But he would get torn up in a real prison, so I think someone is going to reverse this and put him in juvenile. Nancy Grace is gonna be all over this. -.-
  16. Lemon Ice gatorade. The clear kind. You used to be able to get free stuff from under the caps.. like with most drinks back when. No "TAKE THIS CODE ONLINE AND ENTER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN!" It was either "One free 20oz drink" or "Sorry, please try again." Well, we would look up through the bottom and see which ones were winners, then buy those. :) It's discontinued now.
  17. What, why would you say that? A flyleaf is the blank page at the front of a book. Dang I was going to call him on that one. -.-
  18. Harr harr. I just feel like it's a backstab for loyal customers who played for years, leave, and come back one day thinking "Oh, it's just 5 bucks a month.." Then they find out that despite their years of loyalty, they have to pay the same price bob0123lol that signed up yesterday pays.
  19. Just a simple congrats should do.. whatever you feel is appropriate, really. And by the time you get a 99 in something, you'll have an idea for a party or if you want to have one at all.
  20. You have to be in the house at all times. So basically if you want to be generous, you either have to stand around, alch, or attach arrow heads or feathers or something. Kind of pointless, I think they should allow people to enter your house for maybe a minute or two after you leave so you can train prayer at the same time as your friends.
  21. Don't worry with it. It's good if you have it, but it's not necessary in the least bit. Strength is overrated anyways, in my opinion. Get your prayer up for Protect from Melee, and get strength and defense to 60 at least. You can do it at those levels with some good healing items and a reliable one-click teleport for safety. At this point, don't worry about those either. It'll be a while before you get them, and you'll find out that information while you're leveling up. There is a moss giant island just west of Brimhaven (the town west of the Lesser Demon Volcano). You can kill them there, swing back across the water, and take the boat ride for 30 coins to Ardougne and bank there. Or have teleports handy for Ardougne. I wrote a guide on it, if it's not in my signature then I'll get you a link. I'd say 25k per hour is good for you. You could also try Yaks after you do Fremmenik Isles. Yes spend them in the highest increment you can to get the most experience. I don't play though so I can't give you advice on that. Get it up to 50s-60s. Look at the shortcuts you can take in the in-game skill guide and see which ones you think would be most useful to you, then level up to there. Tell us what you've done. Tree Gnome Village and the other Gnome quest (I haven't played in a while so forgive me) for easy travel. (Gnome Glider and Grand Tree) Fairy Tale Part I and start Part 2 for the fairy ring teleports. Get started on Recipe for Disaster for the gloves that give you strength bonus. Do the series of quest in Canifis for the ectophial (Ghost's Ahoy?) and Barrows. Do Smoking Kills to start getting Slayer points if you want to do any slaying. Monkey Madness for the Dragon Scimitar. There's more.. I just can't think of any right now.
  22. That information I don't know- I've never been. I just know that it's been sworn by as the fastest ranging experience around if you've got the money to blow. However, a crossbow and mith bolts are cheap and easy, and with an accumulator it's even better.
  23. Wow.. they should definitely keep that rate intact if you've been playing long enough. I paid for members on this account for well over a year continuously. Well, thanks for answering.
  24. You'll keep all your stuff. However, you most likely had more than the allotted bank space for F2P, so you won't be able to put anything new in the bank. Also, if you take all of a thing out (say you have 1 rune axe), you won't be able to put it back.
