The abortion debate
Oh, I completly agree with you here. Abortion is the mothers choice. Apparently some expert guy same the child doesn't develop feelings and emotions until the age of I think 5 months? I think that's right anyway. Oh, fantastic! Then let's not just allow abortion, but allow infanticide up unti the age of 5 months, too, since if they can't feel anything, it doesn't matter! And some expert guy said it! [/sarcasm]

Girl topic. Trying to hook up with her. chance of boyfriend.
Don't try to break up their relationship. That's just disrespectful. Also, do NOT resort to violence to "keep him in line" - that's just pathetic. If she's interested in you, she'll realize it, and it will happen naturally. Tell her how you feel, if you want, since there's nothing wrong with honesty, and then let her make her own honest decision. - a girl's perspective

Marriage and Kids?
Sorry Bubsa for missing this. The bachelor life for me is 'sad' because it's lonely. Everytime someone tells me a story of how s/he wants to be a millionaire and so forth and that they don't have time to have a family, I get turned off. I don't think I can appreciate what I have in life unless I can share it with somebody I love. You and I differ a little bit Shadow. I want to get married...but for a different reason. I want to get married purely for practical reasons. All good politicians have respectable American families to stand next to them when they give speeches. There's no way I could be the most influencial US Senator in the entire history of America without a family. And don't anyone even bother giving me facts to disprove my theory, I will whole-heartedly reject them. And to answer your question, yes, my betrothed does know I'm using her specifically for political gain. She's perfectly fine with that. However, when you do run for office, someone will find this post you made, and use it against you to make you look terrible, and counter to American family values. :P

RIP - Habeus Corpus, Land of Freedom.
It's only intellectually responsible because century is just beginning, and we don't know what comes next. However, in a work of literature, the protagonist will often have supporting characters, but the protagonist is the main instigator of plot action, and supporting characters act in regard to this central protagonist. I feel strongly that in this sense, the Bush administration IS the protagonist in this current war - everyone (Blair, Bin Ladin, etc) seems to act AROUND THIS ADMINISTRATION.

Marriage and Kids?
There's very little I'd like more than to get married. I hope to get married not too late in life - mid twenties would be nice. I'd like that the wedding will be performed by a rabbi, even though I'm atheist... :x But it can be held somewhere exciting, like on the beach or something. I'd wear a white bikini or something equally ironic. :D Anyway, then I'd like four kids: Two of them I would have naturally, and then I would adopt two more. This way, I'm not contributing to overpopulation, but I'm raising more kids in a nice Jewish family :D And I still pass on my (awesome) genes, of course. On another note... I think it is fine to have premarital sex, as long as you take precautions. I do, but use multiple forms of birth control, since I don't believe in abortions and would like to have close to 0 risk. If everyone wanted to have 0 risk, they should do the same - be prepared! For more information on birth control, visit http://www.4woman.gov/faq/birthcont.htm

Autographed
Two things that my family has (not me personally): - Picture of my grandfather as a ten-year-old kid shaking hands with Babe Ruth, just after his last game with the Yankees... autographed by Babe Ruth :D - Baseball signed by the entire 1932 Yankees team that year, including Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig

What are YOU going to be for H-ween
That's pretty freaking sweet. :D Also, I'm 19, and I think I've dressed up... every year, so far :D So don't be worrying about being too old, youngin's. Btw, if anyone asks what I am (while wearing my cleavagey Peter Pan costume), I'm going to respond "the loss of innocence :D"

What are YOU going to be for H-ween
I'm going to be a way sexy, cleavageful, Peter Pan :D It'll be irony at its greatest :x

A deep, philosophical question...
But... I'm awesome. How is this possible?

Moron.
Btw, in case you didn't realize, the definition you gave of "moron" is something of an attempting-to-be-precise explanation of someone who is mentally challenged. So, while according to that dictionary's definition, your sister might be a "moron," the actual origins of the word don't point to that meaning at all.

Bush sneaks in a ban on online gambling with new bill
No - he is just changing the definition of what it means to be Republican. (As a result, the opposition - the Democrats - adjust themselves to be oppositely oriented from the new Republicans, changing the dynamic of our two-party system.) We're going to split soon - can't you feel it? We're going to split into a Howard Dean party (liberals), a Democrat party (moderate liberals), a religious Right Republican Party (Bush's party) and a Conservative-Libertarian Party. Wouldn't that be awesome? Maybe I'm dreaming... That would be SWEET! I'm in CT right now, and with the Lamont - Lieberman thing, you can definitely feel the tension within the Democratic party about direction to take.

uh oh
Actually, the thing that bothers me is the government trolling myspace for IMAGES such as this (not just text). What I would like to know is the following: how did they track down the girl - using only public information, which is slightly bothersome but understandable? Or did they request IP address info from myspace or something, which would be totally inappropriate, and an invasion of privacy?

Your Greatest Wish?
May I add "lifestyle decisions that don't harm others", to the end of your quote, so the person who eats children as a lifestyle decision doesn't sneak their way into an upcoming post? :P Hehe, yes, thanks

Meal Ideas
Ooh!! I did a lot of cooking over the summer for my family, making three course meals once a week, and a lot of them turned out really nice :D However, I warn you that I'm vegetarian and so my dishes might not appeal to you as much :x If this is your first time doing a lot of cooking, I'd leave yourself at least three hours to do all the cooking and preparation - no matter what the preparation time on the recipe says. Things will always take longer than you expect, especially if you're just trying to work out how to do all this :D Mock Crab Cakes with Cashew Gravy - these turned out DELICIOUSLY :D Everyone (including my meat eating parents) was extremely impressed: The best idea for a SUPER EASY super elegant appetizer was goat cheese with honey. Buy some goat cheese (the dippable type) and put it in the center of a plate, and sculpt a little dip/hole in the middle of the goat cheese. Pour honey into this dip/hole, and also drizzle the honey over the rest of the cheese. Then put crackers in a circle around the goat cheese. This really looks so elegant, and is so easy to do :D For something a bit more elegant, I had great success with popovers - cute little pastries that you bake in a muffin tin. Again, everyone loved them. However, they're a bit more difficult to make. For a simpler entree that you really can't go wrong with, I recommend pasta with a light herb butter sauce, with some vegetables (I suggest broccoli). You can even toss in some meat if you want :x This is a classic dish and not that difficult. If you're doing a very elegant meal, you might want to close with a more cute classic dessert, like just freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. :D

Your Greatest Wish?
Xplsv: I think it's okay for you to have an opinion that homosexuality is a sin. I disagree with you, but it's okay for you to have that opinion. I also hope you understand that people who don't feel it's a sin, and ARE homosexual, might be hurt by your opinion. It's a valid opinion, but pronouncing it everywhere may make people who don't feel it's a "choice" feel upset and misunderstood and bad about themselves. Also, having an opinion is okay, as long as you recognize it's an opinion; that is, don't embed your ideas about homosexuality being "bad" into law, etc. The government should be impartial to lifestyle decisions :)

Bush sneaks in a ban on online gambling with new bill
Yup that's probably the most important reason. That is their own fault though. It's their choice to scare away any initiative to start US based online poker businesses. Also for those who say it has always been illegal, that's not true. In fact, it still isn't illegal. Read this if you have time to waste and want to know more on that. :P That was an interesting read, thank you for linking it :D

Bush sneaks in a ban on online gambling with new bill
Should people not also have their freedom to spend their money on the services and goods which they personally see fit. Why should tax payers money be spent to educate idiots who lack responsibility and self control?. Because these people AREN'T idiots - anybody could fall into that situation. The difference is in education you get to prevent these habits and promote good habits, and support you get once it happens (which helps improve the entire society). Thus, people from more privileged backgrounds are less likely to fall into these traps of addiction - look at statistics. So what we need is to put people on a sort of equal basic footing ground (i.e. mobility through equal education - education is the ultimate creator of social mobility) and THEN give them the freedom to do whatever they want, including how they spend their money. I believe that most government funding should be cut, except that for public education. Weird theory, right? :D

Bush sneaks in a ban on online gambling with new bill
So you expect the government to let us do whatever we want and then spend money to fix us when we abuse it? Yeah, pretty much. The government should allow us freedom, but provide education to help us use that freedom better, and rehabilitation for when we misuse that freedom, and then stop wasting money on MOST other things. It'd be a kind of ideal world, eh? :D The thing is, you have to deal with problems directly. "Cars cause a lot of accidents, so let's ban all cars!" is not an effective solution. Online gambling websites isn't the problem - the problem is the people who abuse those websites. By banning just the medium, you're banning good along with the bad, and surely that's not the role of the government, to just block everything good AND bad until the government prescribes everything (think Soviet Russia). For the same reason, I believe guns should be legal and available :)

Bush sneaks in a ban on online gambling with new bill
In Necro's defense, I somehow hadn't heard it either. :) I think this is silly. Then again, if you've seen me on tip.it ever, I oppose most laws that limit freedom instead of expanding it. I think people can decide for themselves if they want to gamble or not. Some people get far too into it, addicted, and play unhealthily, it's true - but banning the whole thing just because some people abuse it surely is not a smart solution. Instead, provide more education and support for people who have addictions of all types.
