  1. Enough argueing about England vs. Portugal. It's half time for France vs. Brazil 0-0 *Hoping for a replay of 1998* Personally I think Brazil and France are the 2 best teams. Ronaldo has 2 yellow cards already :!: looking good for France! IMO: France's best players: Zidane Barthez (goal keeper) Henry Riberay (sp?) Brazil's best: Ronaldo (With 2 yellows now :D ) Kaka Ronaldinho
  2. Anyways, question still remains. FRANCE vs. BRAZIL
  3. Next Portegese person I see i'll kick in the shin. I was disapointed by Robinson, he didn't block a goal, 2 of them missed the goal and he jumped the other way. Anywas I was also disapointed Beckham didn't shoot, what was his injury? Was it self caused or Portugese caused?
  4. 3-0, ukraine didn't stand a chance. Ukraine's defenders definatly should not of let that pass get through right next to an open goal.
  5. you need to try to get n = fraction So you divide 9 on both sides to get n alone. Well I'm not really sure what you're saying but I think that was it.
  6. Good job, although your formula still has some mistakes. TI 84+ SE FTW! \
  7. You spacing is still off. If your gonna make fakes use this. http://s6.exoload.com/506/1149097188.png It has a template for inventory spacing, that should help. Inventory fakes aren't apreciated much unless you made a new item becuase otherwise they're really simple to make.
  8. There is a way to go forward in time, just do anything, if time isn't progressing then you've sucsessfully freezed time, congratz! Anyways, I agree to most of the above.
  9. Our sun isn't a giant star. I'm pretty sure its a medium star, the can't have supernova's. Maybe I'm wrong, we studied this several months ago.
  10. It was probably chosen since eon 8 means the end. http://www.eon2.com (some architecture site?) http://www.eon5.com (A scary ventlike thingy?) Maybe eon8.com has something related? Maybe all those projects are for the Architecture site. Still wouldn't explain alot. Eon5 is just weird, but it might be a cool wallpaper. EDIT: Woah... eon5 seems definatly related, under properties it says it was created june 30 2006 and modified june 30 2006. Which is when the countdown on eon8 stops. EDIT2: It's to late forgot the countdown ends at July 1st
  11. No..you add .1111... to .9999.. to get 1. Ya'll are all thinking way too into this. .9999 and 1 are not equal. No matter how infinitely small the difference may be there is still a difference. And no 1/3 + 2/3 does not equal .999.. it equals to 3/3. Fractions and decimals are two totally different ways of viewing things. I think everyone is just thinking too deep into this. Or I could be an idiot in some parallel universe where numbers hold the world together :wall: lol .1... + .9... = 1.1... NOT 1. 1/3 is equal to .3... meaning it should be interchangable. Let 1/3 = x Let .3... = y 3x = 1 3y = .99999... So that's the question .999999... =? 1 I think it's to late for you to be thinking correctly. Or what you said at the end. In order to get 1 from .9999... you would need to add an infinite amount of zeros with a 1 at the very very end of infinite which ends no where.
  12. Some C/C: Use png to save suff instead of Jpeg. Jpeg makes the fuzzyness. Your spacing of the items are off. Add some variety, anyone can copy past a single picture.
  13. Once theres a starbucks across the street from a starbucks on every street in the world. It's already started somewhere in Texas. Or something about anti matter and aliens. who knows?
  14. Boy: Piere Girl: Auriole I like those names. OR Boy: Canalope Girl: Lopacan
  15. Two favorites: Where the Red Fern Grows and Dead birds singing. I'm not sure of the authors but they are both interesting yet sad books.
  16. 13 got me stumped. It's the snakelike keyboard one.
  17. I'm spreading my misery on you during summer because I had to take a class so I could get bumped from regular math to honors algebra during the summer, final test is tommorow. Off topic: Some times I see all the emotes and then I see the "CLick to view more motes" :? Off topic once more: Weird, off topic in an off topic forum.
  18. Numbers that can't be put into fractions are irrational, not imaginary. Such as, the square root of 2.
  19. Exactly. Mind if I siggy that?
  20. So you think the number .9 repeating doesn't exist?
  21. But 3/3 is equal to one. So you cant use that fraction to equal .9 repeating. But if that were true you would be able to use 7/7, 9/9, and 11/11 for it to. but 1/3 + 2/3 in decimals is equals . 9 repeating.
  22. Thanks LP = ) Anyone find more fractions or anything? off to dinner. Will be back in 20 minutes.
  23. gpa

I stayed around 3.7 gpa in eight grade I would have gotton 4.0 if I didn't take honors classes. Is it true that in highschool an A in an honors class can count as a 5.0? if so, I'll be lucking since over half my classes are honors. (Even though I already regret taking them)

    I first started thinking about this when I was using a formula to find out the fraction for .9 repeating and I got 1. here's the formula: let n= repeating decimal n = .9 -10n -9.9 ----------------------- -9n -9 -9/-9 -9/-9 1n = 1 ?!?! This formula works for every repeating decimal except .9 repeating. (if your repeating number is more than 1 digit add one 0 to 10 for every extra digit) More proof: In decimal form, 1/3 + 2/3 = .9 repeating 1/7 + 6/7 = .9 repeating 2/7 + 5/7 = .9 repeating 3/7 + 4/7 = .9 repeating 1/9 + 8/9 = .9 repeating 2/9 + 7/9 = .9 repeating 3/9 + 6/9 = .9 repeating 4/9 + 5/9 = .9 repeating 1/11 + 10/11 = .9 repeating 2/11 + 9/11 = .9 repeating 3/11 + 7/11 = .9 repeating 4/11 + 5/11 = .9 repeating 5/11 + 6/11 = .9 repeating What do you think? Can .9 repeating really equal one?! If you have more proof please post and I will add. Edit #1: I added on to the fraction list. Edit #2: I put fraction list in code.
  25. I agree. And I just WANT France to win, I don't belive that they will though. I like Barthez's crazieness. but atleast when he does take the risks, he usually suceeds without any harm. Looks like BMW agrees:
