I must have killed over 2k as well between range and combat training and no rune drops nor dragon. Fire giants or lesser demons are good for drops but neither are close to banks. df

Iron sells for 100 Coal sells for 200 Steel bars (2 coal, 1 iron or 1 coal if you use the blast furnace) sell for 600 - 650 You'll need to be selling 500-1000 at a time to get many buyers at these prices though. df

The best ones are under the Baxtorian Falls. You have to do the Waterfall Quest first though. Otherwise all relevant info is here: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=2 It can get a bit busy under the waterfall though so you might want to try different places / monsters. df

You can get a sig from http://www.runeweb.net/index.php?page=rw-sig Just follow the instructions there then copy and paste the BBcode link into the Signature box on your Profile (the link is at the top of the page). If you need any more info there are plenty of guides on doing this if you use the search function. df

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying fletching isn't a good money maker but to make the most money out of it you have to do everything (or pretty much everything) yourself which makes it a bit slow compared to other skills. I personally do everything but make my own bowstrings. Actually I just did a rough comparison and it comes out approximately the same rate of gp earning for me mining pure ess and alching yew longs. df

Go to the burthorpe slayer master. If the assignment is one which he wouldn't give then he will change it. That is what people mean by Burthorping. Unless you want to fight things like 168 iron dragons this is well worthwhile :) Edit: He will definitely change both killawatts and pyrefiends df
-
More money is not really much of a guide. The quickest money is probably merching if you're good. Then pure ess which you will be able to sell in seconds if you sell in 1000s at a little below market price (80-90ea). Fletching is a good, steady source of income after 70 but it isn't quick. df

I binned the Edgeville guy after I kept getting werewolves (on reflection these aren't such a bad assignment), I now use the Lost City master and I have never had an especially bad assignment from her. df

Any farm store will do it. So north ardy, catherby etc. Anywhere with an allotment df

It depends what sort of training you had in mind. For standard stuff like fire strike I trained on the white knights. There is a room with two knights and two tables where you can safe spot. I don't know if it's 'good' but it works. Otherwise you could try lessers under karamja. They're supposed to be weak against mage. But I never tried them so I don't know how weak they are. df
-
You won't have any problem, you haven't broken a rule. The Jages censor has loads of 'false positives' so tripping the censor is not an offense. df
-
Fire giants or lesser demons. Both are easy if you know what you're doing and both have good drops. df
-
If you pick your cannon up before it fires all 30 shots you will get whatever ammo it hasn't fired back df
-
I got all the way to 63 range (from lv1) with 10k iron knives and I still have 2k left so I don't think you'll have any difficulty, especially if you pick up your arrows. df
-
Just run them through the abyss. I'm right in the middle of that 'danger zone' of combat levels (where most of the PKers are +/- 5) and I don't have any trouble on a quiet world. df
-
I did it at lv 70 with a full inv of lobs, full rune, rune scim and no prayer but it was a close run thing. Get 43 prayer like mEb said then you can kill almost any quest-npc. df
-
Fire giants under the waterfall, stick by the doors (east square, next to the doors) until they go non-agressive then move out and range around the table. I've had a few fire battle staves from these guys which alch for 9k ish so the return isn't too bad. If you do it right you won't need any food or prayer at all. It does get busy though and you can get arrow stealers. Lessers under Karamja. Good safe spots in the stalagmites. Rune med drops are possible here and much more likely than a dmed from the fires :) df
-
Well for double the arrows you'll get about double the xp. So that'd be about lv 70 without pick up and about lv 80 with pick up. Just to reiterate, these calcs are rather prone to inaccuracy so don't hold me to this. :) df

Price inflation in RS is fuelled by gp entering the game, this only happens in a limited number of ways. By far the most important contribution to inflation is High - Alching. The only way prices will not rise is if Construction reliably and continually drains more gp from the economy (payments to npcs/ shops etc.). This seems highly unlikely. The only real question is how much construction will slow inflation and that remains to be seen. So in conclusion yes prices will bounce back but we don't know how fast. df
-
Try ranging moss giants under varrock. The southern site has good safe spots, especially after the giants and spiders go non-aggressive. After a while move on to Lessers under karamja, there are good safe spots here too. On the downside both of these spots can get crowded. df

The bogus ¢â¬economy¢â¬
dogfever replied to paulhartman's topic in General Discussion
Your own usage, and link to the term, give a meaning completely at odds with the commonly used meaning and sense of the word, and thus its link with utilitarianism. Accusing PaulHartman of misusing an economic term begins to seem a bit foolish when he was not actually intending to use an economic term. He was actually reffering to yew logs and suchlike actually being useful. Nothing to do with the pleasure gained from them. You still have not pointed out where PaulHartman has gone wrong. Some confusion here. The notion of utilty is strictly defined in economics. However the term utilitarian also relates to utility in that utilitarianism is the belief that utility functions both cardinal and ordinal can be used to direct strategy, be it fiscal or otherwise governmental such as welfare economics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utilitarianism It would seem from the heavily economic flavour of PaulHartman's post that he was indeed referring to Duke's more rigorously defined notions of both utility and utilitariansim. I can see some logic in PH's post but it does rather simplify macroeconomic theory. He is right that rares, in isolation, are not the RE and that the simple trading of rares does not impact upon inflation. However, utility derived from non-classical economic propositions such as happiness and satisfaction skews the market price of rares with the knock-on effect of altering spending patterns amongst the top players reducing spending and thus proliferation of wealth downwards hence limiting price inflation. df -
It doesn't have vids but thios guide is in Leester's archive of wisdom so it's probably pretty good. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=335622 df

I see a lot of people 'splashing' across the water from the skeletons and zombies in varrock sewers. df

It's not really worth it for the stats boost if you compare it to the glory (which comes with free teles too) but if you want to show off how wealthy you are it's probably the next best thing to a party hat (and a bit more functional besides). df
