  1. Its gonna be the same old bull crap and back stabbing... When you've seen new clans go to top ten, then explode in a few months, then you've seen it all...
  2. Does it have to be like a signature format? ^^; You can do that with a mouse! Try wallpaper size! Tablets are made for big resolutions! :D
  3. Yup. Lotsa lots of lurkers out there. :-k
  4. Was'nt that on the News like 2 years ago? Thats when i heard of it. :-w Most people first heard about El Nino as a word and phenomena around the late 1990s. It was dubbed after wind and water currents shifted in the Pacific ocean suddenly. Back then I was still around the Phillipines and boy, was the weather wierd. It was hot and very dry. And Southeast Asia is normally wet and tropical. If I remember correctly as well, Indonesian rainforests burned, and there were wildfires across Australia cause of droughts. On the other side of the Pacific, there were very strong storms where there shouldn't have been, like in Chile and Peru where they cause flooding. --- El Nino (and La Nina) was temporary anyway, and it went away after a few years. (But people still use the term But Global Warming is the increase of average global temperature, so even if its temporary, the Earth's warming and freezing cycle takes thousands or more, years to go back to normal. Its just what were doing is increasing the levels CO2 and green house gasses, and its speeding up the process. Its supposed to take hundreds of years, not decades...
  5. You're taking about rain on 1 specific day and thats your reason for countering weeks upon weeks of unusual weather? Global Warming DOESN'T always mean, hot, dry, polar-ice-caps-melting weather... Australia has been having that drought for years now. Central North America keeps having long violent winters. Eastern North America has no winters... The Gulf Coast has had stronger and stronger hurricanes on average. The artic permafrost is melting and the tundra is turning into swamps. Mountain Glaciers all over the world are disappearing, and so are the lakes they feed into. So you gave a personal story, im gonna give one too. Or maybe more. The last snow storm ive seen where I live was about 5 years ago... Now its just a pathetic freezing rain and 2 centemetres of icy snow if were lucky... And it lasts only a few week(s). Then it melts... Winter was supposed to start in the middle of December, and by that I meant 0 degrees celcius of average temperature. 1 month later, the average temperature is 10 degrees celcius. My old country which is close to the equator, has an average temperature of 29 degrees celcius year round. Now its 33. Right now where I am, they have this little canal called the Rideau, and I was hoping to skate it since they told me it usually freezes by December 24 to early January. Its flowing like a river right now... and the weather guy said its gonna be like so for another few weeks into February... Boy is the Winterlude festival here ever gonna suck if this continues... And what if *quote* "Global Warming" *end quote* is a "Buzz Word", whats your point? That its not there? Genocide is a buzzword, the Iraq War is a buzzword, Affirmative Action is a buzzword, Fundamentalism is a buzzword... Whatever its called, you can't ignore it because its there. ... Well look at me telling you what to think... For shame... Well if your climate there is just fine and dandy, then I guess theres nothing for you to complain about is there? Im sorry for thinking Global Warming is affecting you.
  6. Where I am, a shared apartment usually requires a person to pay betwen $300 to $600 CDN per person. :-k
  7. A/S/L questions in 3 different topics...
  8. Yep. I'd prefer a small group of obedient, decent leveled people over a mob of monkeys in a war.
  9. I tell you guys this. Almost everyone playing a different game laughs at Runescape. They all think Runescape is the crappiest game out there. :-k
  10. PSP is THE BEST alternative to Photoshop. I know alot of people who use it and they are at the same level with Photoshop when it comes to drawing/painting/whatever else you can think of. Try looking up Corel Draw and Corel Painter too. While you're at it, try Macromedia Flash or Illustrator. :
  11. What do you mean decent. Im having a pretty damn good life here :P Too cold. And the days are so short. edit: don't get me wrong though, it IS a great country. I think Canada is going to be my permanent residence, but I just miss some things. Being born and raised in a tropical country and all. Its been too warm recently... If anything its too wet. I want snow. In Solid form. Its winter. Days are short... :-k Yeah, I miss the summer when sun sets at like 8 or 9. Not 4 in the afternoon. And I don't want snow West Coast rains alot... Central Areas gets long early winters with lots and lots of snow. Eastern Areas have milder winters, but the weather is erratic. Atlantic areas are prone to hurricanes... And the north is pretty much winter most of the year. If you want to go back to the Phillipines, you only get a Summer and Rainy season... I don't like 35 degree afternoons and I certainly dont want to clean up everytime a typhoon hits. -.-
  12. Oh and forgot to say. Some models come with free software. It depends on which manufacturer though. Wacom gives out Photoshop Elements (which is basically a stripped down version of Photoshop) /and or Image ready. Other makers might also have Elements, or even a trial version of Photoshop or PSP. Theres also other generic programs. :-k

There are some exceptions though. Obviously you can post pictures of yourself if you dont tell anyone that that is you. Pixels and other self portraits of yourself are allowed I think. :-k
  14. Things you have to ask yourself. Price and Size - What size is practical for your type of work, and what price can you get one for. Like I said, a Graphire 8x11 is $200 An Intous 8x11 on the other hand, is $400 If you just need to touch up pictures, a 4x6 size is usually enough. With an 8x11, you can start drawing and sketching with plenty of space to spare. The largest size is 12x12 on most models. (Except the tablets with screens - they're huge) Also try to consider your working space. Does your table have enough space for the tablet? Cordless or not - Does it need to be plugged, or is it wireless? Most tablets today are plugged to the USB drive. The drawing stylus on some models have a cord that attaches it to the tablet. (Try to get a cordless stylus) Wacom, Adesso, and Aiptek tablets have cordless styluses. Pressure sensitivity - Depends on how hard or soft you draw on it. The two standard pressure sensitivity is 512 and 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity. Graphire models have 512 pressure sensitivity, while Intous has 1024 levels. Adesso and Aiptek sensitivity also varies with their models. Pressure sensitity basically means how sensitive the machine is when you draw. Obviously the more senstive it is, the more quality will end up on your monitor. Also, some Graphics Programs like PSP and Photoshop benefits from higher sensitivity, especially if you want thicker / thinner lines or if you want to blend colors. 512 is usally enough for most people anyway. How does the sylus work - Is the Stylus Battery powered, or not? Does it have other custom stylus? (IE inking stylus, Airbrushing stylus, painting stylus) Wacom tablet stylus are not only cordless, but they dont need a battery to work too. Adesso and Aiptek stylus on the other hand, needs AAA batteries to work. Wacom also has different stylus you can buy for specific jobs. Where can you get get replacement pen nibs - The Pen nibs on the stylus will wear out eventually. You will have to find pen nibs to replace them. Wacom has many authorized resellers than sell replacement pen nibs. Or you can ask Wacom themselves for new ones. (This depends on what country to live in.) Is the tablet durable - When you draw, is the drawing surface getting bumps and scratches? Is it getting smudgy? If you drop it, will it break easily? Now depending on how you treat the tablet, and how hard you press into the drawing surface, your tablet can last for years. Warranty - If it breaks, can you contact the manufacturer for a replacement? Read the warranty first before you buy, just in case.

  16. Trade in your xbox for a 360? :|
  17. Get a Wacom Graphire 8" by 11". That way you can trace your drawing directly from paper. It also allows you to have bigger strokes. Its only $200 or so. There are cheaper ones, but they're not as durable. If you still want to look them up, try googling Adesso or Aiptek. Wacom also makes Intous models, but these are somwhat expensive and unless you're already a good enough drawer, the money will be a waste... These models are from $250 to over $800 depending on size. :-k
  18. No we already named the game. Monster Rancher got annoying anyway. I checked. It wasn't mentioned. =|
  19. It was an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth... But some people didnt get a chance to have a trial cause Saddam was convicted already... Everything was too... rushed... But then again, the longer it takes, the more dangerous it was for the people involved. Wait wait... That would mean justice was not served properly... It should have taken as long as a judicial process should take. On the other hand... They do have different laws and procedures in there. Can't make up my mind... :wall: Eh... I'd rather see him rot in jail than take the easy way out. :-k
  20. Is the last game Monster Rancher? :-s Edit: AH CRAP I MESSED UP MY POST COUNT! :wall:
  21. The reason theres no topic for leetspeak is because we killed the posters in the past. :-k EDIT: 3333 post count lol.
  22. PK trips here. My old clan did not war often, but even if we lost, we still gained respect and people still wanted to join. However when a clan doesn't PK, the members get bored and they leave. And thus PKs > Wars. :-k

  25. This has to be the stupidest question I have ever been asked... -.- And don't tell me its right or wrong depending on what individuals think. Its still a stupid question... Disclaimer: I skipped all pages and didn't read them.
