Yesterday I learned that Sprite and vodka go great together. Too great probably, it just tasted like Sprite.

Don't leave us hanging man, you don't describe a story like that without telling it  Also, I hope Rpg will come back to translate his posts some time. I had a week of holidays last week (meaning from the 28th Oct to today) and I just spent every day going out. I was barely ever at home, stayed up a lot of the time, woke up the next day and immediately made more plans. The one day I stayed at home, I was sitting out a sickness that I was going out with the night before. I think it all just caught up with me today, I slept from last night 4 am to about 2 pm, then again from 4 pm to 7 pm, and I'm still tired.

There's a certain class in our school that only has two students in it. While most lessons they're paired with other classes, some classes they're alone. And neither are resistant to diseases, so occasionally one of them will have multiple lessons alone. Tonight, I'm going to in Ghent. I can't wait.

Yesterday I went out, and when I came home (slightly drunk) and went to bed, I ended up dreaming I never went home and just stayed in town for a few more hours, doing random things, then going to an afterparty at someone's home. That was one of the most confusing wake-ups I've ever had.

I doubt anyone here will know who is, but he's a Dutch rapper who's relatively famous in Belgium and Holland (and one of the acts I saw at Werchter this year). Now my friend and I will interview him for our senior paper about hip hop. Holy crap, I never thought we'd actually be able to arrange it, and it's already this Sunday and holy crap.

Happy belated, to both you and Tim.
  7. I just realized the (well not so) new (anymore) thread title annoys me.

I don't know what happened, but I just couldn't get myself up this morning. I'm used to being tired, and I usually always get myself out of bed in the morning, but last night I ended up sleeping 13-14 hours instead of my regular 8, despite trying to get myself up multiple times. Hell, I even got up to go to the toilet at one time, but just couldn't spend another moment awake so went straight back to bed. I woke up incredibly dizzy, tired and with a headache. Let's hope it's a one time thing.

And dying in a blazing inferno just looks so much better on a Darwin award than dying from deodorant fumes. Yesterday we went out in Ghent. For those who don't know it, it's a relatively large (in Belgian standards) university city here in Belgium, where I'll be studying next year. It was [bleep]ing awesome. And it just made me look forward to next year so much more.

Today was a good day. One of my best friend's birthday and we celebrated it nicely.
  12. That's a bit overdramatic, isn't it? Rain. Wind. Wet feet. Cold hands. Runny nose. Basically anything that's typical for the autumn/winter half of the year. Ugh.

If 60 years of knuckle cracking won't cause arthritis I don't know what would.

Oh man, I hate looking at my old posts, please don't make me do that. When I first joined I didn't really come to OT a lot, but I do remember I was here before the Ever caught them thread was opened, no idea when that was.
  15. Waking up in the morning and being able to stay in bed a little longer while listening to the radio. It's such a nice change from waking up hectically every morning.
  16. That reminds me of a commercial I saw that just baffled me with its stupidity. It was an ad for an automatic liquid soap dispenser, which would give some soap when you put your hand in front of the sensor. What's the point? So you don't make your hand dirty by pushing the liquid soap button...
  17. Next time you replace your strings, put your hand into the sound hole (or whatever it's called) to get it out. You can do it with the strings still there but it's a major pain in the ass.
  18. Dropping my pick into my acoustic guitar.

    Woke up drunk today.

In a strange act of coincidence, my earphones and my iPod both stopped working properly at the same time. Luckily, both are still within their warranty so they shouldn't be giving me too much problems.

Tomorrow we're visiting the Flemish Parliament building in Brussels, should be a pretty chilled out day.

I'll put it a bit differently: I'm pretty sure of it. I mean, we never really made it official I guess, but the way she (and I) acted, it seemed like it. I'll be sure of it next Sunday when I finally get to see her again but I have a good feeling about it.

Appendicitis sucks. I hope you get out soon. Did you have a bag attached to your abdomen after the surgery? If you didn't, it shouldn't take too long to get discharged. If you did, then it won't take long either, jjust a bit longer. Just so you guys know, I'm drunk right now. At the start of the evening we went into a jazz bar, thinking there was a live show. There wasn't, and we were all alone in the bar. We chatted with the bartender a bit, jokingly asking him if we couldn't play some music. Before we knew it, my friend and I were on stage, him on drums and I had a semi-acoustic guitar in my hand, missing the high e string. We played a few songs, and as we played, some people (like maybe 4 people) came in. We did get an applause and they seemed positive. That made my day. Also, that friend and I are now planning on starting a band, because we actually sounded pretty good (I think) and also because we're just great friends and it's fun to play together. I'm feeling good guys. Let's hope it stays like this for a while.
  24. Or when they eagerly introduce you to someone else: "Yo, you've got to meet this guy!"

I haven't posted here in a while. I've been having a hell of a time, but I didn't really feel like typing out everything that happened to me here. Some highlights: last weekend, I met a girl at a festival, and I think I now have a girlfriend. I'll only be able to see her again next weekend because she lives about an hour away by tram, and has a busy schedule, but she seemed eager to date and so am I. This week, a class that has two of my best friends in it has Italian exchange students coming over. Because I'm so close with those friends, I get invited to their get-togethers. Those Italians may suck at drinking, but they're great fun to be around. Thursday, yesterday and today there'll be a party with that group of Italians. All in all, life's really good for me right now.
