Real life help & advice
This is from like two pages back but he never had an answer. You've got the chords already, which is a huge step in being able to figure it out by ear. Besides, it's a video, so you can get an idea of how he places his fingers. So just grab your guitar and try and figure it out, you'll feel so much better when you've found it out yourself, plus you'll remember how it's played better. And if you feel like helping others, you can then tab it and put it online yourselves. Also, Toki, where are you coming from? As in, are you travelling from elsewhere in the US or are you from a different country/continent altogether? I won't act like I know much about California myself, but that info is useful for people that would like to answer that question. Also also, sabaton is foot armor? Now that I know the meaning behind the band name, they've lost a few awesome points in my eyes

The Oatmeal vs Funnyjunk (Lawsuit)
Wait, on which grounds is he suing two different high-profile charities? This is an honest question.

I liked Minutes to Midnight... Anyway, I'm out of the hospital in about two hours. It feels like I've been here for like two weeks when it's only been about 5 days. Anyway, getting out of here couldn't have come soon enough. Now I just have to do 4 more days of exams and then it's summer.

Why did I never learn about this in Latin class

Today...
Christ, my last post was angsty. Felt like ranting, feeling better now. On the bright side, in 6 days my friends and I will celebrate the ending of the school year, and we are [bleep]ing great at celebrating the ending of the school year. Odds are pretty large I'll be out of the hospital by then.

Today...
Let me break the good mood here by saying I feel like crap at the moment. Not only am I still in pain after my appendectomy, I just heard I'll be staying here longer than expected (which was already longer than expected itself) and my family's in a fight right now because of me. I'm also missing a bunch of exams and I have no idea what's going to happen about that. Continue being happy.

Today...
Somehow you're not the only one O.o Let me tell you guys about my Wednesday. I woke up earlier than usual because I had to study a bit for my exams that day, chem and geography. I studied a bit and then I left for school. It started raining literally the minute I got on my bike. I jokingly thought to myself that this was a bad omen, and my exams wouldn't go well, which made sense because I felt a bit underprepared. I made both my exams, chem went better than expected and I've no idea how geography went, because they were all multiple choice questions. I was relieved after my exams were over. Now, I study at school in the afternoon during exam periods, and that wasn't any different this time. I studied a bit, felt tired and around 3:30 I felt a stomach ache coming up. I tried to focus on studying, which became harder and harder as the pain became stronger. I left school at 5:30, still in immense pain, and it only got worse once I got home. It was honestly the worst pain I've ever felt. After staying at home for an hour, trying all kinds of things to get rid of the pain we went to the hospital. It seems I had a severe appendicitis. They operated me the day after and now I'm staying here in the hospital for a few more days to recover while there's a tube in my abdomen. What a surreal experience that was. I thought it was a pretty strange coincidence both you guys posted that on the day it happened, though it didn't fit your feeling of dread exactly.

Strong winds. Rain I can live with, snow annoys me, but I just despise strong winds.

Languages
I'm curious, does that mean they taught you to actually speak Latin at your school? Anyway...for me: Dutch (native) and the local dialect (which has minority language status) fluently. If you don't mind my asking, which dialect is that? Is it only spoken at home or between friends or is it more wide-spread than that? Usually Dutch, though occasionally I'll think in English.

I can speak, read and understand English and Dutch fluently, I can speak, read and understand French well enough to be able to handle myself in France. I can read Latin, though it takes a while because Latin is a pretty complex language. There are few (if any) people that can still actually speak Latin fluently. And then Arabic. I'm of Egyptian origin, so I could hold a pretty basic conversation with an Egyptian, and understand most of what they say, though I have a harder time understanding Arabic from other North-African and Middle Eastern countries (ranging from Morocco to Saudi-Arabia) because the differences in accent are pretty large. I used to know the Arabic alphabet, but know my knowledge of it is pretty limited: I can still write my own name and still know the majority of the signs, but it takes me ages to actually read anything in Arabic.

Today...
Filmed something for a school project today, was great fun. But now I'm stuck trying to figure out Sony's retarded software. For some reason it won't install on this computer so I had to pull out an old, half-broken laptop to install it on, then I have to put all the imported videos on a portable hard drive to transfer it to this laptop and only then can I actually get started on editing. Anyway, good day otherwise. Also, is Kalei Dash Vezon's long lost brother or something? :)

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
When I was (much) younger and I heard the term used for the first time, I thought it meant fear of things that were the same (Homo = same, phobia = fear). Does anybody know where the term came from? "[A] phobia about homosexuals.... It was a fear of homosexuals which seemed to be associated with a fear of contagion, a fear of reducing the things one fought for home and family. It was a religious fear and it had led to great brutality as fear always does." Wikipedia does wonders.

When people over here feel the need to talk/write in English when their English is horrid. Then you get status updates like "Woman is the most lovely mystiek in the world for the most cute boy".

What book are you currently reading?
Expect a lot of symbolism and passages that'll seem pretty strange if you don't know what they're alluding to. At least, that's how I felt when we read part of it in our Latin class (in the original Italian because our teacher is a purist like that).
