Aren't you still a student? They just let you guys fly around all day without supervision? As a sidenote, what kind of plane are we talking here? Had a chill day, spent some time skateboarding and longboarding, despite being pretty bad at the former and only half decent on the latter. Considering buying a longboard in the summer if I still have some money left from my summer job.

We spent last night at a friend's house. His parents were away and he invited about 7 people maybe. Was a great night of booze, weed and music. This morning I woke up with a slight hangover at 8:30 AM and had to get ready to go to school to rehearse for the school play.

What a strange reaction... I know how ruined the mood can be in a class if something like that happens, hope it goes well for her :/

This so much. Especially the way songs in the background keep changing every five seconds irks me. When I can't hear certain bits of songs on my iPod. For example, , where I don't hear the bass intro until the bass drum comes in, or Bite Hard where the singing in the beginning sounds almost a capella to me. And one more:

I've always wondered why Facebook says someone "went to School X" if they're still at that school. Might as well just ask here.

Thank God I can't see my first posts, and the only posts that were quoted (that I found with a search) were questions or other small not-embarrassing things. I know it for most of them (edit: where the artists come from), but it still baffles me you don't have a single song from an American artist on your iPod. What genre do you mostly listen to? It really seems like one of the most strangely specific yet broad things to dislike.

I just realized it's been like 7 or 8 years since I started playing Runescape. I'm 17 now, so that's a long time for me. Shit, a lot has changed. [/reflectivemode]

Conversations with teachers. Like, not one-on-one, but when they just stray from what they're supposed to teach us and hold a conversation with the class. Usually, the ones that do that actually have interesting things to say.

I watched 1-54 in one sitting and it took me like 3 hours, so you better put some time aside if you want to watch them all :razz:

Please elaborate. How can you not like a single American song? You hate everything from Johnny Cash to Metallica? Or are you talking about modern pop music?

Marble Hornets is still the scariest thing I've ever watched.

I'm guessing they weren't allowed before that either, but teachers were lax and wouldn't actually confiscate anything. Might be wrong though. Tonight I'm going to an indoor music festival. Should be a blast.

@Lokie: I don't remember where I read it, but when you take a map you should be sure to not stretch it for too long (more than 30 mins), because otherwise you'll go into REM sleep and that'll make it more difficult to wake up and thus make you feel less refreshed than a short half hour power nap. On a related note: waking up. I always have to force myself out of bed. On a free day that's not so bad (I'll just put on the radio while I'm waking up and take my time to get out of bed) but on a weekday, it's torture. And worse of all? It's scientifically proven that teenagers are biologically programmed to wake up later than adults.

I witnessed one of the more surreal things I've seen a few days ago. Some guy (a foreigner) came jogging around a corner. Nothing special. But then three more people came from around that same corner, also running. They were all shouting things in a language I didn't understand to the first guy. He then turned around, shouted something and threw a rock at them. Then two or three women came from around the same corner holding long-ass sticks, also trying to catch up to the first guy. The chasers tried throwing a rock back, they missed. And then the guy stepped into the back seat of a waiting car and they quickly drove off, leaving the chasers behind, who were at this point shouting frustratedly. And while all this happened, me and my friend were just staring at it, completely bewildered. I felt like I was in some slapstick French comedy or something. Anyway, went to the gym yesterday with that same friend, we'll probably be getting a subscription so we can do it at least once a week from now on. A good thing, I really need to get back in shape.

I'm going to invest in ear plugs as soon as possible. Better to prevent than to heal. EDIT: that was in reply to Riku.
