Pff, tired as hell today, went too bed way too late because I was converting the video we shot yesterday to .wav. I'm still looking for a rastafarian though (for the project that we were filming for), I doubt anyone here is, but anyone know a way I can find one?

The expression "all but". Who the hell invented that? It goes against the laws of logic. Saying something is "all but big" makes it seem like it's "everything but big", thus "totally not big at all". So why the hell does it mean that it's actually pretty damn big? Or am I stuck in some kind of weird circle of being wrong here?

Meh, in a way I can understand why they do it, after all not everyone going to the movie has read the books. Probably the filmmaker's way of saying "GUYS THIS IS THE BIG FIGHT!", since you don't have all the narration you have in the books on a movie screen. Anyway, as long as the movie's good, which judging from the trailer, could very well be the case, I don't mind. The only thing I really minded regarding things being added was the stupid-ass scene in Half-Blood Prince where they get attacked when they're at the Shire.

I don't really have much to add to this. It's a common occurrence, and not that surprising really; there's nothing in the world (entertainment-wise) that every single person likes. The more people hear about a specific band or movie or whatever, the more people are bound to say "That sucks." And then there are of course the loyal fans from the first minute, who'll think of it as a kind of betrayal when the band or whatever go mainstream, since, like you said, it usually comes with a change in image.

Especially the "Round Earth doctrine is an elaborate hoax" they mention on their own website made me think of it in the same way I think of crazy conspiracy theory people. EDIT: Also, it seems they don't believe in a flat earth per se. I can't be bothered reading through their whole wiki, but it seems like some kind of strange theory about infinite earth or something. Also, regarding all the bad things religion has caused, are you claiming that if it wasn't for religion, there'd be world peace? Fact is, people will always want to wage war, and religion gets picked out as an excuse to do it.

Today's the day for doing some fun school projects, meaning I'll be filming for the project of another group and getting together for the project of my own group, so yay for that.

I'm gonna go ahead and be traditional, you're alive once your heart starts beating (as a fetus) and dead once it stops. Self-awareness is separate from this, in my opinion. You could be alive and not self-aware, maybe you can be dead and self-aware (afterlife) but no one knows that. So to get back on a discussion about religion instead of biology, afterlife?

This is probably a dumb question, but what happens to the party that had the least votes? Do all the votes that they had just become worthless? Because to me it seems like the weaker parties are the ones being disadvantaged by this system. Feel free to correct me.
