Differences in British and American English
Well, in English class over here, we follow the British spelling because, quote, "England is one of our neighbouring countries and is the original English". Yeah, we do get penalized for using American English, but sometimes the differences are so small and insignificant that it pisses me off. Also the fact that it's easy to confuse them. I used to think of American English that it's more to the point, that spelling equals prononciation just a bit more then British English, but even that has failed me recently: grey is still confusing. Gray is British, right? And if I see realized and realised I'd expect the second one to be American for some reason. Oh well, it's all the same IMO, so whatever.

Children dead in Belgian nursery knife attack
Do you have any statistics on that, or are you just saying something because that's your feeling, based on selective perception? Well, not hard evidence, but I hear about murders happening more frequently lately. A few years ago it was a big drama when one kid got stabbed. Now it's just... Blugh, hard to explain.

Children dead in Belgian nursery knife attack
Wow, Belgium got on the CNN. Anyway, this is kind of weird, but especially horrible... Murders are becoming more and more frequent here in little old Belgium.

Person gouges out his eye and eats it.
If anyone's still wondering which verse he read while gouging out his first eye: Matthew 5:29 "If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell." No idea why he ate the second one though o.o

Ideas for cod6
Altered history is the way to go IMO. Like if during WWI suddenly a scientist made a stunning discovery which ended trench warfare and makes some very awesome weapons.

Share Your Funny/Scary/Lucid Dreams
I had a series of weird lucid dreams 2 nights ago. First one, I appeared out of nowhere in front of my school, there was no one there but two girls from my class. I then looked down and saw that my swimshorts were pulled down to my knees, but I couldn't pull it up. I freaked out until I realized it was just a dream. Now, I always use the 'just-a-dream' way of thinking when lucid dreaming, it's so great being able to do anything without consequences :P. Anyway, I woke and went back to sleep, then, after a dream I can't remember, I woke up in my mom's car (not irl, but it was really realistic), because someone behind me said "We've been driving on auto-pilot for hours now." I freaked out and looked beside me, and in shock I wondered if I was dreaming, so I touch my face and I feel my hands going over it, and seriously freaked out thinking this was real life. We were driving off the road, and I just tried to at least adjust the car, afraid of actually sitting on the drivers seat. I get a lot of those weird dreams... I have no idea where the hell those ideas come from, but if my dreams were movies, they'd probs sell pretty well (or very bad). Also, once there was this dark dream where I was small, and I was being chased by men in long cloaks and hats. I was in a city environment, doing anything I can to evade my hunters. But they kept on coming out of everywhere, until I got caught and was brought to a weird catterpillar whis was the size of a truck. I don't remember what happened afterwards.

Perambulation
Ugh, I hate walking. It's way too slow IMO, since usually the thing I'm thinking of when walking alone is "When will I get there". Even when I see my goal it's still a while before I reach it walking. Although I do agree that sometimes I get philosophical epiphanies (those were a lot of syllables) while walking, and it's nice to walk beside a friend and be able to talk.

Call of Duty: World at War
Oh man, I can't wait to get this game. Played it a bit at a friend's house and it's great. I'll be getting in exactly a week from today.

What is your DREAM car?
Yay, a dream cars topic! Here I go. [hide=Lambo Gallardo Superleggera(so much hotter then a Murcielago IMHO)][/hide] [hide=Porsche Carrera GT (one of the most beautiful cars ever made)][/hide] [hide=Ferrari 355 and Enzo] [/hide] [hide=Ford Mustang Shelby][/hide] [hide=The new Dodge Charger][/hide] [hide=Evo X][/hide] Hmm, I think that's all of 'em...

Do you like to doodle?
Without doodling I wouldn't survive a day at school. Teachers get pissed at me when I do it, so I try not to, but sometimes I do it without realizing, and by the time I realise I've already doodle'd the whole page.

What funny craze have you been through?
Beyblades. Hehe, I remember those pieces of crap, mine would always break since they were the cheapest in stores. And I remember this other craze (forgot what it exactly was), that I had a nice amount of. One day I felt stupid and gambled it all away. I almost cried. Rofl

Stupidest Thing You Did As A Child?
Hmm, I was like... 12. There were these iron balls with faces painted on them, that really looked like boxing balls. Ofcourse I was psyched with this so I punched it with all the power I had. Damn, that had hurt. Didn't break my hand or anything, but still, it hurt.

Games Franchises that Should Give Up
Meh, Need For Speed has so much potential. If they'd just mix all the things from the previous NFS's into one great game. The gameplay of Prostreet, tuning like Carbon (which includes the blue outlines when AutoSculpting) and the tuning possibilities like the Underground series (dude, you could change everything there, from neon under the hood to the subs in your trunk.)

How would you raise your children?
That reminds me.. I have frankly no idea whether it's a good idea to teach my languages & traditions to my kids or not. I mean... It'd be pretty awkward living, say, in the US surrounded by english & spanish speaking families, teaching the kid finnish (which is pretty much my 1st language), or serbian/croatian, possibly russian... They'd have absolutely nobody to communicate in the language with except me, and distant cousins in mainland Europe. Sure they'd grow bilingual and learn english anyways, but what use would their 2nd language be? A dilemma really, because I wouldn't want to butcher my roots & make my offspring oblivious to where they came from. But I don't want to make my kids confused either, & it'd be really weird if your wife can't talk the language you're speaking to your kids. Gotta decide that in due time later probably  My parents taught me Arabic, even though I've been living in Belgium ever since I was like... 2 years old maybe. I'm proud they did, since I grew up in a bilingual way like that. Also, my cousins who live in Canada, they were never tought Arabic, so they only speak English, so basically I grew up trilingual. Both help me when I visit relatives, but ofcourse my Arabic and English are close to useless here in Belgium, it can be useful for a later career, and to me it's also a great help when learning a new language. You'd be surprised how many Arabic words are close to their French counterparts. Well, the way I'd raise my children is not to spoil them and treat them in a soft strict-but-just manner. I mean I wouldn't punish them for something small, but when they do certain things, they need to get punished so they don't do it again. My parents have close to no authority over me, since they never punish me or anything.

Is God real post your thoughts!
I doubt anyone thinks that's a whole bun or anything. But seeing a clear image of someone in thin air is different then seeing a face in a bun. My bathroom has I think marble flooring or something, and I often see faces and horses and such things in those lines. Do I think my floor is holy? Ofcourse not.

Is God real post your thoughts!
Well, I haven't heard of any cases that include Muhammad or such appearing, but if he did appear I'd try to speak to him and ask what he wants/why he appeared to me of all people. If he doesn't answer I'd probably do some research, but if he does answer and the answer sounds a bit dumb, I'd probably ignore it as a hoax or something. Oh, and Muslims believe in God too... They just call him Allah instead of God. I don't know all the differences between the Christian God and the Muslim one, but I doubt they're that big that you won't recognize the one in the other. Oh, and how could St. Mary or something appearing be a natural phenomenon? I don't believe in those stupid things like seeing Satan's face in a fire or such.

Pictures of your cell phones.
But in black. It's great. Pretty cheap for what it does and it does everything I need it to do. It also types very nicely. Only bad part is the camera, which is rubbish by today's standards.

Is God real post your thoughts!
I don't doubt what people saw and I can't explain it, but can you see how 'saw outline of Mary' to 'Christian God exists' is an odd jump? What if it had been the outline of the Buddha or Muhammad - Would that have convinced you that those religions were right? Well, St. Mary isn't just a random person... She is the mother of Jesus Christ, and she wasn't chosen randomly. She appeared on the St. Mary's church. But let me ask you. If St. Mary or Jesus would appear to you, and you would clearly see them, wouldn't this convince you that there is a God, and maybe encourage you to read the bible or do some research? I accept that Muhammad and Buddha were real persons, but that doesn't mean I think those religions are right. If St. Mary or Jesus were to appear to me, and me only, I think I'd check myself into a mental institution. If they appeared to many people and there was no doubting them then I'd have no choice but to reverse my position. I would like to think that I'd continue to ignore God and religion, because even if it were true I'd still disagree with it. I have read the Bible by the way. It would be difficult for me to understand Paradise Lost or The Divine Comedy without having my King James Bible next to me. You didn't really answer my questions either. Why does Mary appearing make your religion correct if the same doesn't hold true for other religions? There's also the issue of the unfalsifiability of a God who doesn't intervene directly. If he can't be disproved then he can't be proved to be true, especially not by an apparition. People seeing stuff = God exists just doesn't make sense. This supposed sighting is no more proof for the Christian God's existence than God 'talking to people'. Well, first of all, I respect the fact that you've read the Bible instead of ignoring Christianity with no reasons or in blind stupidity. If you don't think that the things written in the Bible are right, or you simply don't believe them, I can't force you to do so. I never said that the fact that St. Mary appeared makes Christianity the right religion. I had answered someone who wanted to see true evidence that God is there, and I gave it to them. Although I have to disagree with the "People seeing stuff = God exists just doesn't make sense." If millions of people would all see the same thing (namely Jesus or St. Mary) and we all knew it can't be a trick or a hoax, it would convince me (and most people that saw it) that Jesus or St. Mary existed or still exist, which in turn would lead me to believing that God exists. I said most people because there are also people who would think, like yourself, that it's a psychological problem if they see people that are long dead, but others might think that such a thing is a sign of God's divine powers.
