And try maybe, I dunno, I guess this is near impossible for a few people, but, why not take a break?? I've found that after taking periodic (twice a year or so) 1-2 month long breaks from Runescape it becomes exciting and fun to do many things I was bored with earlier (i.e., Barrows) and try out all the new updates. Just take a break, it'll be good for you.

I'll be there for the all the laughs, and anyone who wants to challenge me and my 1700 rank Draughts skillz :twisted: .

Actually, as has been said, Dragon is a melee based category, not a range based, so the level 60 needed for melee Dragon armor does not pertain to Range. Not only is this idea not original (check the RSB, there's already about 50 threads up for Dragon Bows atm), but it makes no sense at all.

this is probably the 88 Harsh 8) . That was insanely funny story, gave me quite a few good laughs. Some people in Rs really need to get past the maturity of a 5 year old, but without them how fun would this game really be? :P

Thats pretty lucky :D . I got a Guthan helm my 86th run, but I remember being pretty lucky when I started Barrows too, like you. Verac Helm trip 7, then another on my 15th run 8) . Then a Verac Bras on my 22nd. I'm pretty lucky at the Barrows (but nowhere else; if you've been around long enough I'm sure you've heard how much I hate the Metal Dragons), as I also just ended my longest dry steak to date (40 runs) with a Dmed. Good ol' Barrows.

Thats a helpful hint, but it'd be smart if only one or two people go to those spots. My reason for saying this is that once enough monsters are out, if your in those spots you completely screwed, seeing as how you'll be trapped, unable to help at the next portal. I believe all other players should attack from the back end, so they can freely move and attack the gate, and not get attacked by npcs.

Let me guess, you killed one brother and went down to opent the chest without bothering with the others? If you don't kill them in the tomb, they can appear down in the tunnel at any time. Thats why I don't recommend skipping Karil like some people suggest (he's tough, and his armor is basically worthless), because he's just going to own you in the face down in the tunnels...

I gota say that my fav is Ancient noob, get that a lot at Cw 8) . I'd make a comment about it to all the people who call me a noob there, but by the time I get a chance to say anything they're already dead :P .

Can I have your friends name so I can report him, please? What he said. And I love Barrows and Dk's, they're both awesome cash for my level (though I can only take down Rex, being a measly 94 Combat 87 Mage). I've made about 25mil+ at the Barrows also 8) .

K, I think I'm just going to get the 10 more qps I need for the full 175 and just do the whole quest in one big run. I should be 90 Mage by then also, so with the new Bank and massive Mage level I'll own the Barrows 8) .

I met her right before the big Tip.it party at Varrock, I think on my homeworld, World 65. She was pretty nice and we had a good chat, turned out neither of use were able to make the party lol.

You could just restock at Burgh De Rott.... unless you haven't done that quest. Anyway, that's not why I quoted you. I wanted to ask you how hard does the falling roof hit? Lol, its like a max of 5 every other minute, so you'll only get hit once or twice down there before you reach the ladder. The damage from the rocks is pathetic, don't worry about them. Btw, where that new bank? I have yet to do the quest but I'm just wondering where it is.

My bro's lvl 64 ('stonekrushr3', donation appreciated as he wants a Dlong really badly, but I can't give him the cash as it will look like multilogging :cry:, curse Jagex's banhappy ways ), and I've showed him how to play the game well. He's really good at defense, never kills the south shifter (and often even distacts it too), and attacks any other shifters that harm the Knight. Sadly, his Rune long doesn't cut it for the total damage needed, so even though he's playing like a real team player, Jagex is totally jipping him of the attack experience he needs for Dragon weapons. I'm so ticked at this new update, its totally prejudice against low levels. And Waffleh, what happened to siggyin' me? :wink:

Looks like most everyone teles, but I see a few campers 8). And only one other person uses the Nature Altar. IMO the Nat altar is better and faster then teleing, banking and running back, not to mention the 2 extra Prayer points (like the Prayer Guild). But I guess everyone has their own preference. Btw, all you non-prayers, does anyone think a player with 87 (almost 88, 20k more exp :D ) Magic and 74 Defense could survive not Praying on Guthan and Torag while in Barrows melee armor? Would it be a waste of lobs (I can only bring 8-9 Lobs per trip because I camp, so I'd have to restock at the store). Just wonderin'.

Give me a test with 300+ runs involving specifically killing only one monster down in the tunnels for different parts of the test and I may believe you. Otherwise don't post something just because you have a feeling its true (you say it like its a fact). Note: I more or less agree with your statement, but its completely off-topic, and no tests that I know of have been done to prove it. Maybe a group of Tip.iters will run a few tests in the future, as it appears that this thread is heading in that direction. If you read back to about page 9-12 you would find someone-else and I Have already talked about this and our feelings towards which monsters give which drops (skeletons don't give racks, just bloods and deaths) And i have seen 2 tests on the killing of one or two monsters giving certain drops so far on tip.it and i only started reading half of the barrows stuff about 3 months ago, so yes there has been studies, and also Mooo your theory is not correct and the killing of rats (personally) gives rubbish like chaos and minds definitly not death because rats are the weakest and easiest monster in the Whole Of The Barrows And The Tunnels. So think about your post before you talk about such on topic information :roll: Ya, I saw those posts about making a study on monster drops in the Barrows. Thats why I said that this thread was going in that direction. Also, I would have been content if he had said "in a recent test" or "in a recent Tip.it study" to start his post instead of randomly posting something that he didn't even know was true. You even proved that he was wrong yourself. I just want someone to have something to back up what they say instead of posting a random guess.

First of all, I don't know if there has been a thread like this made before (didn't find anything in a search), and even if there was I don't feel like bumping a 5 month old topic, so I made this thread 8) . In my time as a Barrower I've seen a lot of Barrows inventory set ups, but I've never really known how everyone goes about actually doing the Barrows. So, in a list, what specific method do you use for Barrowing? How do you kill the Brothers? It'll be interesting to see whos in the majority and minority groups of methods :P . Well, here's my list: 1. Arrive at Barrows with enough provisions for 50+ trips (notes, 70+ Prayer Pots and 400+ Lobsters, and necessities) 2. Trade in supplies at Morr'ton General Store. 3. Kill all Brothers, counterclockwise starting at Dharok going inward to Ahrim. Use Magic Dart, and pray on all but Ahrim. 4. Go into tunnel, get a 20+Kc on Bloodworms. Kill brother (if he appears) and head to chest. 5. Open chest (kill brother if not already done), run to ladder. 6. Restore Prayer, with extra 2 points, at Nature Altar. 7. Repeat steps 2-7 until provisions run out or Inventory is too full of Barrows equipment. 8. Ecto out. Note: I'm not asking for inventory pictures, but feel free to post yours if you want to. Also, I'd like all to note in their lists Kill count (4), Spell used (or Veracs) (3), an estimate of provisions, and what you do between trips (6). Any other info is appreciated, but try to keep it down to 10 steps or less.

Hm, I'm not sure, but it sounds interesting. Anything to end my 600 Steel Dragon dry streak ( :cry: ). I'm at the Metal Dragons right now recycling, my Barrows runes, perhaps I'll join you 8) .

I use Irons, and kill Fire Giants (went from 50 to 74 Range there). I can make 400k+ a trip at Fire Giants without getting a single dragon drop, so I love 'em for training 8) .

I'm not going to wear a Ring of Wealth, 500 Steel Dragon kills with it have turned me against them :? . I'm there right now on the Tip.it homeworld (World 9 :roll: ). Anyone want to join me?
