It's taken four years but it finally happened. I got my first ever traffic ticket for running a red light. Although I'm tempted to say that it doesn't count because I wasn't actually caught by a police officer, but by one of those traffic cameras. Oh well, I could have used that $75...

And I was planning on finishing Black Lagoon this week. I guess it can wait for Korra. EDIT: Have I ever said how much I dislike the fact that they used Zuko's voice actor for New Iroh? He sounds like a teenager when he's supposed to be an accomplished general.

This post inspired me to play some New Vegas, and this time I really took my time. It's much better than I remember it, but I can't get over how nothing seems to do any damage. Doesn't help that I pissed off the Legion early on. The last time I played New Vegas I made an Asian character named Kung Pow and only used Unarmed weapons. The first few levels were tough but once I got a decent set of armor and a pair of brass knuckles it was all over. So much fun running around the Mojave punching everything in sight.

You know that something is pointless when the only reason you have is "because I want to". Have fun I guess. Good luck on things like Porygon and Rotom.

Why would you do this? What is the point of properly breeding and fully training base/2nd stages that you won't use? That's 718 Pokemon + mega evolutions + forms and you're not even going to use a majority of them ever.

I suppose I should actually finish season 2 then... Jeez, every time I think I trim my backlog to something manageable it gets longer out of nowhere.

I recently went to my local Pokemon League. It was like stepping into a country populated entirely by fedora-wearing neckbeards and children. Nonetheless it was a good experience and practice for VGC. I met a couple of people who are going to Nationals including the regional champion for the junior division. I'm going to try to make it a habit to go back every couple of weeks to keep battling with them. Hopefully it'll prepare me enough so I can actually participate in the 2015 championships.
