Two things are true about American culture. We HATE big government/big taxes but we LOVE our handouts. On any spending cut people bi-patricianly say "dont touch my handouts." Capitalism. Gaining is good, losing is bad.

It's even worse when the person did absolutely nothing wrong. When my friend was working as a waitress some guy asked if she knew how to play 52 Pick Up and then threw a deck of cards at her. What makes people do things like that?
