Yes, I'm sure that going to the yellow pages, picking out the first counsellor, Dr. A. Andrews, ringing them up and pouring out your deepest darkest secrets and woes to a complete stranger is th first thing that occurs to a manically depressed, suicidal person who feels that they have nothing left to live for in the world  Yeah, basically. Although, I would advise a school counselor. I mean isn't that what they're for? :uhh: I give up. It is clearly impossible to persuade you to compromise at all on this matter, or to show any kind of sensitivity. Goodnight. But it is only 17 past 8! Come on. I seriously don't see what is wrong with going to see a school counselor or a psychiatrist. Do you have something against revealing your secrets to those who you are supposed to? Pretty much I say go to a counselor. You say it's not that easy. I say why? Let me put it this way: If you are depressed and strong, you will see someone who can help you. If you are depressed and weak, you'll live with the depression, which will most likely result in a baaaad situation.

Smellysocks, you are amazing.

None taken. Okay...define more please? If you're going to say that, you need to be more specific. Actually, I have asked myself why. You want to know the answer? It's because of love and God (or faith). You love those around you. Most of all, I love myself (not in a prideful way). See, that's strength. Pessimistic people, in my view, are weak. I also see suicide as a way to cheat yourself out of life. Suicide is a sin (in my faith). Do you sympathize with those who hate themselves. My mother always taught me that in order of people to love you, you must love yourself. Suicidal people do not love themselves. That is weakness. There are always, always people who can help you. Whilst everyone is entitled to their opinions, you three clearly do not know the first thing about the mindset of someone who commits suicide. It is not just the feeling of wanting to be free, or of sadness, it is the feeling of being completely trapped and not being able to talk to anybody about your problems. Most suicides occur in men, and most of those in young men. This is because young men are the worst at communicating and discussing their problems. They bottle it up until they cannot cope. It is not a matter of being weak, or cowardly or selfish, it is a matter of sheer desperation, something which I doubt you, or many people have experienced. People used to be prosecuted if they tried to commit suicide and failed, because it was seen as a sin and something that the person ought to be made to pay for. Nowadays the human mind is understood better and physcologists have realised that these people need help, not punishing more. Can't you three take the same view? I doubt it's that hard to pick up a telephone and call a counselor.

Nah, the economy is already crap. The people running it cannot even control it. Investing in rares is your best bet.

It's not mine or your place to judge people who commit suicide. Let them rest in peace. I think suicide is one of the saddest things on the world today. The thought of people dying of sadness really hurts me, its just one of those things that really gets to me deep down inside. I know a few people who tried to commit suicide and it really made me sad to think that those people I knew were hurting inside so much they wanted to die. That's why I said 'I think'. I know some people have rough lives, but I think the sign of a strong person is someone who looks for support in those situations and not someone who thinks about ending their life because something happened.
-
It has nothing to do with being weak. It has to do with your circumstances. Ill use myself as an example. My dad died almost 4 years ago when I was 14 and me and him were super close. I felt like I had lost everything and thought about suicide. Its not because Im weak its just that at the time I didnt think life was worth it (the pain and suffering). But now Im happy I didnt! Never do something like that! Okay.....Get over it? It's sad and all, but that is no reason to kill yourself. I still think it's a way out for the weak. It is okay to grieve and all.

Lol, I thought you would sympathize with me given calls against Edmonton this year (Ghost hand pass come to mind?) Yeah, you wanna know one game where the calls were REALLY bad? The year was 2004 (I think) and the Flames were playing a memorable 7th game against the Tampa bay Lightening. It was 0-0. The Flames were led by Jarome Iginla. This is the crappy part. He goes in a drives towards the net. he shoots! The puck goes into the net and the goalie pushes it out. I was like wtf. NO goal!! Wth! Right, then they go on to lose the game. It would've been cool if the Flames and the Oilers would have won the Stanley Cups. Did you know Cam Ward is from the exact same suburb town that I am? . I still think it's time for the cup to revisit Canada. Enough of the Avs, Devils, and Red Wings.

Eek. That stinks. Sometimes I think suicide is a way out for the weak.

sam..if i may: they are not ridiculing you for your grades. they are ridiculing your attitude. b/c if you are lazy with school, then most likely you will be lazy in other aspects of your life, including a job. Ah, yes, just like Einstein and countless other mathemathicians/scientists/physicists who failed their classes at school simply because they thought it was a waste of time or they hated their teachers.I must say it's very ignorant to say "if your grades are low, chances are you are lazy in every other way as well". If you have a brain, you realize grades are nothing more but print marks on a paper. There are countless people that didn't even fully graduate and they earn quite nicely. Want a corny example? Bill Gates. He's a dropout. I still fail to see how he's lazy or a failure, he has earned more in his life than probably all the people on off topic forum will ever earn in their lifetimes. You can predict things only to a certain extent, and IMO that does not cater to life as a whole. I know this because my father came from relatively poor conditions. Last summer we went to visit his best childhood friend in California, he has no education whatsoever, and he has become a millionaire because he worked up his way in a shoe franchise and now owns five stores. He started simply as a storage operator. Education doesn't make you smart, that's something that comes from your personal observations, reading the news, developing yourself mentally. Smartness is entirely different than book knowledge. If you don't know how to apply knowledge you can have ALL the PhD's in the world and you'll earn less than a guy who's a dropout. Now, again, I don't discourage people from educating themselves, just don't try to feel superior to people who may have less motivation to do so if they can justify it. Believe it or not, despite the supposed odds, they may be earning more one day. Oh right like that means every person is as likely to get rich as the next no matter what education they have. FYI, that's like 3 people. There are countless others out there who drop out and only earn slightly over minimum wage. You're pointing out the improbable. You can do that to basically everything. Our predictions and assumptions are not facts.

okay, there are many different versions of this style. Basically, just wear a prime colour and white. I suggest desert boots, cooking gauntlets, and a legends cape. Here is one version. I don't have members. If I did, I would be able to show you what I used to wear. This works very well with masks. For red (santa, red mask, and red party hate), you use zammorak robes. For blue, use blue mage robes. For green, go to the clothing shop in relekka. For purple, do the same. For yellow, you're on your own. P.S. I like misterxman's the best. Too bad I wasn't there (but playing) for the Scythe. -
How many rares of each kind are left?
darkmage099 replied to Benoit4whc's topic in General Discussion
Impossible to get an accurate answer. The only thing guessable is probably crackers and a select few party hats. -
Yes! I am mortified by player mods! When they mute you...ahh. It's like dying! They also mute for no reason whatsoever!!!
-
Okay...I agree. Ummm...what is there to discuss? Everyone is just going to agree with you and say they treat pmods nicely etc. No one is actually going to come out and say they hate player mods or think they are gods. If they do, they'll get flamed until this thread gets locked.

Yes, basically. It's also because you don't try. I know you think it's pathetic...but I don't care that you don't care. It's a prediction. No one said it was a fact. Did you learn the difference between fact and opinion at school? Or did you fail that as well.

I cannot see why anyone would not use pubic transportation. I would if they offered it. -
1) How many hours do you play a day? .5 (that's half an hour) 2) Are you addicted to games? Definitely not! I was before but.... 3) Do you have after school activities? Of course. I have hockey practice later today.

We are one of the biggest football players in the world (county-wise). At least in the top ten. We don't have that though. Our minor leagues are county based, but the high school league is state-wide.

- clip - Wow. That's what I'm saying you moron. I AM ONLY 14 I turn 15 in a month, I'm saying I don't need other people my age to tell me what to do. I didn't say "an F" I have a few actually. I'm getting mad because you people are assuming that I'm an idiot. No, I'm not. I don't try, because I don't care. How am I related to nad? Hah. I laughed at that..I'm nothing like my parents idiot, I'm a little bit like my brother...but then again we are totally different to. I guess you are the dumb one if you think I have to be the same as my brother just to make him my brother. clip In my eyes, you (Sam) are an idiot. I don't care what you think of my judgment or how that I judge you too quickly. You are just so lazy. I will laugh one day when you wake up in Nad's attic. You wake up and your brother is yelling at you to get a job because you just got fired from some retail store. You put on your one dollar clothing and walk downstairs. I can picture you just watching TV until someone forces you to get a job. Then a revelation comes. You then realize that you should have done better in school, and this is not how you wanted to lead your life because teenage years last 7 years while adulthood lasts decades. I only hope the last line is true.
