Actually when you log out while playing you go into the waiting room for which ever god you were, aka Saradomin or Zamorak, not in the lobby. You also have all the items from the game, aka bandages ect, that you had on you when you logged out.

From what I have heard I would just go with the metal dragons, possibility to get d legs or skirts and I've heard they drop runes too.
