  1. Call me a harcore slayer or not, but I've never had all these stuff that the other people are suggesting. For meleeing, I started with rune armor then upgraded to Dragon when I could afford it. For ranging/maging, which is only recommended when fighting elves and blue drags I would wear the highest d hide armor possible/monk robes. of course a ranger set or archer helm was a must. I always used super sets. Also have a lot of prayer pots for aberrant specters and don't forget the anti fire pots for metal drags. If you are gonna to use prayer while doing slayer task, use proselyte top and legs, blessed symbol and sara book for max prayer bonus. Once you're able to afford full guthans, buy it. It will save you money in the long run and enable you to finish your task without banking for more food. Use a whip for meleeing or D scimmy if you want to train strength. I've never need "many" rune boots. 1 pair is enough or if you can't afford it, use climbing boots. I used either a zerker/warrior helm. I rarely used a crystal bow for slayer since there really aren't many tasks that call for ranging the monsters. If I did range, then I used a mage short and mith arrows. I never needed torags armor. Neither have I ever used bones to peaches. It costs too much. I would rather make a bank trip then waste money on it.
  2. Arrows shaft usually sell from 8-10gp, feathers for about 5-6gp and headless arrow shafts sell for about 15gp. Just keep in mind that cutting the logs into arrow shafts and attaching the feathers to the shafts also give fletching xp. So it would be a good idea to either buy regular logs/arrow shafts & feathers if you want to maximize your fletching xp.
  3. Try selling your yew longs on the RS forum. Lots of buyers there. As for raising your herblore, either buy unids/herbs or farm your own herbs.
  4. It would be less expensive to cook lobs as compared to monkfish. It will take longer though but since you said time really doesn't matter then stick with the lobs.
  5. At your combat level, it would be a waste of time and pots to continue with the bronze or any metal drag slayer task you get. The buthorpe slayer master will always change your task as long as the monsters he assigns have a lower level than the currently assigned monsters. The best armor/wep to use if meleeing is: proselyte top and legs black slayer mask blessed holy symbol antifire shield berserker ring whip barrows gloves If I remember correctly, this gives 25 prayer bonus
  6. Go to Nulodion who is in the house to the west of the stairs leading to the dwarven mines.
  7. Wrong. neither of them protects over whip. Jagex placed a fix for the mystic top long ago and even though the whip and mystic top both alch for same amount, the whip protects over the mystic top. This was to stop the scammers/pkers. The d long hi alchs for less than the whip.
  8. You'd get 6k if you hi-alched it and 4k if low-alched.
  9. I also used to use this trick when I killed blue dragons. It usually degrades after a full load of blue d hides and bones. So what I did was switch bows b4 I killed the 14th drag. Then when the bow degrades, I switch to the 10/10 bow. You just have to count or keep track the first few times it degrades to figure out when it degrades.
  10. Sorry, My bad. I can't think of any other piece of armor that gives str/att bonus.
  11. Dragon d chain and Dragon legs. Barrows armor too.
  12. Buy a ball of wool from a general store. To be specific, the general store in east ardougne across from the chapel. Then use it with the amulet.
  13. Without prayer or defence, you most probably won't get past the blood diamond boss.
  14. I helped my friend who's pure had even lower levels than you by bringing along sharks and blocking 2 or 3 of the bosses. So it most certainly can be done. Good luck.
  15. Aside from waiting for your run energy to be way over 20%, use an agility pot, that might help as well. Good luck.
  16. For agility, train at ape atoll and then do the sqirk juice mini game at the sorceress' garden for thieving.
  17. Use the edgeville dungeon slayer master and then the lost city slayer master when you're able to defeat the higher level monsters. If the slayer task is to difficult for you, go to the buthrope slayer master and change your task. There really is no fast way to get to lvl 85. Just train slayer as much as you can and you will eventually get to lvl 85. It took me approx 6-7 months to get to lvl 85 slayer and that was with me training slayer 3-4 hours a day.
  18. If you know where I can buy at these prices, please let me know where. You must be filthy rich by now buying at these prices..
  19. I have 3 crystal bows. I can hit in the 20s. It is more expensive then using mith arrows in my opinion but well worth it.
  20. Go back to Oziach and he will give you another key.
  21. Well, you can use mage against almost all monsters but not all monsters are in a place with a safe spot. It would come out a lot more expensive in the long run using mage to train your slayer in my own opinion.
  22. You can keep on drinking the p pots to restore your prayer points. So bring several 4 dose p pots with you.
  23. you can do pc and use your commendations on mage xp.
  24. I would say that training slayer would be one of the best skills for making mundo money. I'm only at lvl 92 slayer and I already have a white phat, santa and mask set. This coming primarily from monster drops ranging from rune boots, g mauls, whips, and d legs, d skirt, d chain, left half of d shield and some d weps. Of course, training the melee, mage or range skills could also mean going to KQ, DK or other non-slayer monsters that have wonderful drops if you're lucky.
