20-Nov-2012 - Evolution of Combat: Now Live!
Well at this point im really not playing in any particular style as im learning the new abilities. However with this update most things die before they do any particular damage, so that helps out alot as I dont need food. I have also found its not uncommon to 1 hit things through the occult floors. Certainly most of them arnt 1 hits but even those that arnt die very quickly if you use the special abilities. The special abilities just destroy anything and everything in their path usually with 1-2 use. If it wasnt for the fact I got to hit them first before I can use a special attack, I would just be KO'ing most things. With the occasional monster that needs a few extra attacks to successfully hit. With this in mind, aswell as being maxed combat and such, im not using any tactics as its unnecessary at this point. Just a smithed 2hand (Not had a primal drop) and primal plate, aswell as the shadow silk hood. I prepared lots of other gear pre-update but atm its unnecessary. Its pure melee for the most part, but I also carry a bow with me for the boss if necessary. If its convenient I tele to beginning and switch bind gear to something more appropriate.. but its not necessary. Before this update I would have to use tactics to speed things up but now im just experimenting with how much damage I can take, and still kill the boss without picking up food lol. >.< As a newbie experimenting with the eoc, (Never bothered with the beta much) I just find that crafting my laws and then sprinting and dropping my teleport thing with me along the way, its much quicker as I dont need to pay attention to my health. I barely even remember which abilities im using just yet as im a newbie to them. The better I get with them the better the floors will become. Im also figuring that I could use the jump/tele ability thing to maybe move about quicker but atm I just experimenting with my health. The funny thing is, due to the adrenaline having more time to stack up during a boss fight, the bosses come across as being easier than some of other baddies on the floor. I can use harder hitting special abilities on the boss.

20-Nov-2012 - Evolution of Combat: Now Live!
Im finding solo dung to be a tad too easy. I just make a couple of law runes, run around, KO the boss, repeat. I like the fact that my 'attack skill' is now hitting things, however its a bit too KO' friendly. With slightly harder monsters you just got to use certain abilities, all of which take maybe a couple seconds longer than the KO' ones that die in one hit. Bosses.. ROFL. Still without food you can kill them on the same non-stop run through the dungeon. It needs some proper balancing. ...And once its been rebalanced. It also needs to sort out the adrenaline bar so it doesnt fade away so easily while in dung. Atm it hardly matters but if things were actually difficult it would be a silly oversight to allow the adrenaline bar to fade away so easily between rooms. Anyway, I like it but its obviously not ready yet regarding this area of content. (Poor testing/couldnt looked at dung much in beta/its planned to be sorted out in a future update but in its current state its embarrassing.) I can see its potential. Once its balanced correctly. I hope its sooner than later as it doesnt make sense that I dont need any food for occult floors. I havnt tried warped yet but in my opinion I should need food for occult floors at a minimum.

116 Dung - 15th November 2012 Didnt realise was ganna get lvl right then. Even sof joined in for the shot. >.> Due to my recent 4 levels, my overal rank climbs are kinda fun to look at atm lol. I havnt had anything interesting to see in this graph for a very long time besides the fact its been slowly dropping from just above 1k to below 4k. Now its beginning to rise again but unfortunately not by much lol. =p Should be a big jump sooner or later.

BTS#26 - Solo Dungeoneering
I am surprised by their stance towards essentially saying that big teams arnt that hard. However after getting level 115 solo, I dont care, I just want a more reasonable solo xp/hr. They should definitely try to keep the focus on better xp for teams which seems like a lower priority for them if this vid is anything to go by.. It was just a matter of making it more reasonable xp/hr to solo, that was all that was necessary. So I am a bit surprised by their attitude. Now just give me more freaking xp that seems reasonable. My auto-pilot gameplay (Where I probably watching a film/forums/wtf) tends to manage 4-5 meds an hour depending on type floor/boss. Thats the only way I tend to dung nowadays. Sometimes its fun and im watching my character, other times I forget im playing and dont know how one moment im starting a new dung and the next moment im somehow fighting the boss. (Dont remember much inbetween lol) Hopefully this update will spice it up to be enjoyable more often than not.

Behind the Scenes - November
With the dung update this is the best update in the year for me. I was happy at the daily task reward 0_0 But doubling the xp rate has been necessary since the beginning. I have managed 62m on my own, so the other 42m will have an extremely satisfying xp rate compared to what I have already done atm. It wont feel overpowered at all but something thats necessary. I can say that when its double xp weekend, the xp rates seem about right. It doesnt seem like a double xp weekend, it seems like a 'this is what it should of always been' weekend. Unlike rc xp rates in older times, solo dung just seemed too slow to train considering there was 104m for the top level. (99 aint so bad though.) Team xp seemed about right but not the solo side of it. Sometimes its less enjoyable when an xp rate seems like it isnt calculated properly, asin when its being underpowered, ditto for when its overpowered. No offence to the jmods but I expect I can get better xp rates considering the amount of time I have put into that skill lol. So although I think doubling the xp rates is necessary, (While also more than I ever hoped for.) I be interested in seeing what actually comes out of this. I like bunch of the other updates too but I donno what to think until I see them. I still manage to do tears of guthix out of nostalgia more than anything so that is nice that we getting a bigger bowl... (Keeps up with the revamped xp rates I guess.)

24-Oct-2012 - Halloween 2012: Haunted Houses
I just noticed that my adventure log is showing 100% completed quests for once. Wasnt like that recently so good to see it only took months to fix. Again. - I prefer the concept behind the holiday event being less 'questy' or 'boxed-in' like they have in the past. However their attempt with this update wasnt fun at all. I wouldnt even say it was boring. I just lacked everything besides being a tedius task. I ran around for all 2 ghosts before I realised it wasnt fun and illogical to waste my time not looking them up thereafter, which I was glad for. Without looking them up it would of got boring very quickly. I will say that the idea of looking for stuff was a better idea for the easter event than for halloween though. I understand a easter hunt. Whatever I was doing today I certainly wouldnt class myself as a ghostbuster. (Which would maybe be a better idea. Give me a plasma gun thingy and get into copyright issues.) Ganna miss the random events too.. but I think more than anything is just a reminder of sof in a indirect sence. I know jagex will just say.. buy spins for the xp. Even though they dont sell xp.. but whatever. Im ganna guess that sooner or later there will be a special themed sof where you can buy special themed random event items and xp. Otherwise I aint that bothered by the removal of the randoms. Just the reminder of the future.

200M in all Skills
If it makes you feel any better - I still pretty much think of you as that dude that shut the door on me while smithing all those years ago =p Who happened to get a few 200m skills and considerably popular later. I still havnt forgotten though. That dude that had a difficult name to check hs and had lots of fishing xp - Whatever the amount was at the time. Interesting memories, fun times. Still I might aswell say gj on account and I would agree that sof sux etc but is what it is as you say. Bah humbag@it all.

Thx, Imo the biggest accomplishment I been looking forward to lately was unlocking that last music track. Which I lined up with the 1b xp thing. Its why I put it in big bold writing lol. Mainly because I solo dung.. It has taken me a long time to finally reach it. It boggles the mind that despite how long I been playing, this is the first time I have ever unlocked every single song at once. It was the only thing locked away from me, besides obviously 120 dung itself, (And at the time I hadnt bothered to get the new fire cape yet - but that just a new update I hadnt bothered to do.) that song was the only thing left to finish in the game. As for xp goals, na not really. Coming to an end of all things eventually, although the remaining things will still take a long time. A 20m base is good enough, a cap for me. Doesnt mean I wont train things but no xp goals anymore beyond this point. Except any new skills whenever they eventually come about. Which im hoping come out sooner than later. Only things left are 200m cooking and 120 dung. I hope to achieve this before your able to buy 200m xp for real cash within sof or solomon.

What's Mine is Yours/Goblin Flashmob [17 October 2012 update]
Hell yes at deactivating all the other challenges and leaving only dung.. For a soloer who is about halfway done. Plenty of benefit to be had left. More xp than I could ever earn within the same time frame. I was looking forward to marking off 200m skills, (Which I wasnt sure if they meant just those or 99's too.) aswell as several others that I didnt like, but this is more than I could of hoped for. DEACTIVE ALL! Besides that dung. No cap.

Hallowe'en Treat: Scary Bonus XP Weekend!
Really is inaccurate. Even for all night parties its not uncommon to stay awake for 36 hours. Which is quite physically active too. However for maybe more important things, im sure not all professions during emergencies just go to bed because 24 hours have past. As someone who doesnt need to sleep too much its almost a requirement that I dont sleep some times just to correct my clock again. Otherwise I get too groggy from sleeping too much and/or I only end up getting very little sleep anyway as I dont need it. That being around 36 hours minimum but probably closer to 40 hours, still being one night of skipping sleep, returning to a move regular pattern for the majority of the time. You also drink plenty of water over other types of substances to remain quit fresh feeling. For 48 hours you just got to be sure you drink plenty of water. On a personal note. My brain is more sharp after 20>10>5 hours. After 40 hours it begins to become a somewhat positive intoxication - Without a hangover. For gaming purposes it isnt that hard to remain in control but for studying it can be a bit difficult around this time, especially when your in uni studying maths and learning new sums or something. Its not hard to go to work or study the next day after skipping a night - Pretty sure alot of people have done that. Sitting behind a pc just makes it all the easier. There is the other option of just having 2 hours sleep which is amazingly refreshing for functioning for another day. Generally I wouldnt need to worry about drinking more water than usual if I have slept 2 hours minimum. Just aslongs you return to a regular sleeping pattern soon after. I will admit for the average person that 48 hours would be pushing it. Its easier to do something between 30-40 hours if someone has never even skipped a night. However a couple of hours sleep is very refreshing to be able to do that extra bit of time. For someone like me, which isnt that uncommon for whatever purpose, be it a job, gaming, late night parties.. 48 is just an extra 8 hours ontop of 40 hours - Something I feel comfortable doing without feeling too tired to the point of discomfort. Dont drink freaking fizzy drinks or wtf lol. It burns you out and makes you feel horrible. Water is the key to feeling fresh and alert.

Hidden Update: Bots Dying
10/10 for style - One of the better things in a long time. Seems pretty damn fast for me. For non-dummy accounts anything less than 10 minutes is like super fast if it isnt banning legit players - Which I do believe it shouldnt. Maybe 5 minutes for dummy accounts which it is also removing from the game quite timely. Oh - Obviously - For add bots they are muted FAR quicker than their death too. So it seems to work quite well - Muted to save our eyes, while they keep spamming in muted mode to confirm a ban on them.

9th of September: Live Q&A with CEO Mark Gerhard & VP Daniel Clough
"90% of players utilise sof" I wonder why... Possibly something to do with fact it wont bugger off until you do. Since we are semi-forced to spin to get rid of the spam, advertise in there might just be a good idea! - They like suggesting. Remove spam elsewhere.. End of the day I aint that impressed by the q/a as I still have to deal with the things that are negatively effecting the game/my gameplay. A minor example. I dont have an actual photo of some of the stuff so I just quickly put this together. Its alot like the real thing for when I log in nowadays. V
