  1. Its the sun! The sun is coming! We will get a sky at last!! =P~ What can be more stunning than the sun!! And its huge! ..The sun. Finally something we have all been asking for! I thought for a moment it might be a new skill but na.. jagex wouldnt do that without first fixing the skills we got! Good old jagex!
  2. I know your evil game! You got fedup with skilling upto 2000 while paying in members you decided 200m xp in f2p would stick it to jagex. You can grind without it costing you a penny! \ Theres a flaw though.. When a new skill comes out it will mess it up lol. 2001 ftw. Its a admiral goal and goodluck! Pretty sure you will succeed sooner or later. You sound nice enough.. Sorry how you got treated bad in your drop party thing. ..There have been times I have been insulted so many times for no reason I had to log out. EXTRA goodluck because if you seriously are training in f2p.. You need all the luck you can get. :ohnoes:
  3. Goodluck! My mining pawns u and I havnt even trained it properly in 1.. no 2 years lol. Still waiting for that darn D pick!
  4. Lol you made me laugh. ..Thankyou! I havnt laughed in months due to staring at a computer screen playing runescape! Meh I play runescape to relax its as simple as that. I state that because I am trying to make you understand why you are wrong imo. If it wasnt for this game I would simply playing a different game. Infact I bought a new pc that can handle any new game for years to come.. yet I still play runescape because its relaxing for me. Everyone needs to relax right? Like 10+ hours a day sounds good to me. :-w I want to point it out anyway... I go to college, work and been in a relationship for 6.5 years. Yes I already know staying up for 10+ hours playing a game is maybe socially unacceptable. (While taking drugs is fine.) I do what I enjoy.. and I have played games far longer than 50+ hours straight in the past. *Along side friends doing exactly the same hours* It was more fun than any rollercoaster or 'mating' in my life trust me. It doesnt mean I skip work to do that though! Kids that skip school are the same kids who skip school to hang out on the streets. I rather they played runescape personally. I dont like these topics because your so completely wrong imo. Your title 'Are you living life to the fullest?' Yeh hell I am for what I enjoy to do. My girlfriend is jealous that I have such a hobby while she doesnt have anything to relate to besides shopping and drinking. Even she' couldnt shop for like 50+ hours and not get bored. :XD: I think I am fortunate to have such a hobby that consumes so much of my time. (I dont just mean runescape or even gaming.) Obviously other aspects of my life are more important and I prioritize correctly.
  5. I am interested in anything jagex might produce in the future but maybe they arnt such a great company to choose. This new game would have to be very different in gameplay if I was to simply drop this account for another on a different game. From the experience of playing this game I rather not make the same mistake again. Besides I think after two more years of playing this game I will be sick of leveling based games. I have done a few others and its getting boring. I am not sure where my gaming career will lead to.. Still I will try anything they make. The problem is I still feel connected to the company from years ago when they used to be less formal. :( I think.. If they dont advertise it on miniclip I will play it.
  6. I think jagex will lose if they keep adapting their uniqueness to that of other games. They can keep inviting children into the game but eventually it will become like any other mmorpg. It will lose because those games WILL be better. Its the fact this game runs on java, its unique quirks and price that make it better than other current mmorpgs imo. It was the skills that interested me into this game on the hopes they would expand on them. They barely touched the skills and even combat is like lvl 70 requirements or something.. Thats pathetic. I imagine I will quit once I reached my goals. Its a shame because I love this game but I am by no means a loyal player.. (Could take me a year or two or three untill I reach those goals ha but thats besides the point.) I play to be entertained/enjoy myself and once I reach my goals I will move on to feed that need elsewhere. Although if they gave me a reason to stay... ..there has been improvements to certain areas.. but overall the 'requirements' still SUCK. They were hard when I began but over the years it become too easy! If I wanted a 'easy' game I would play halo 3 or whatever they are trying to force feed me. I dont know how a game can survive if it doesnt add harder stuff. To actually gain a REWARD for your efforts. They havnt added anything hard because the requirements are always very low. 'My goals' are exactly that, mine! They dont DO anything besides my own private self gratisfaction of achieving that goal. How many kids seriously play a game to achieve that! They will play something else like WOW I think for easy rewards and a quick high. :-k As a browser game it may never die but people will stop coming in masses sooner or later. They can keep making it easier and adapting it to other mmorphs if they wish.. but whats the end game for casual gamers if they dont start adding rewards now. Its only going to get easier and easier for them right! This games survival is completely in jagex hands.. :ohnoes:
  7. The guy who wrote that thinks jagex loves us because they dont mind losing memberships? Huh? If they didnt try to stamp out bots then there would be 10 bots for every player. Who would play the game then? How many memberships would they lose then? Hmm.. :-s Yes they care but its always been about the money. Jagex is a business and they are looking out for their best interest which is partially in our interest but mainly in kids aged 5-13. Despite the fact members PAY to voice their opinion.. most of the people who complain actually care ALOT more than those who dont complain. Take a look at official rant threads with 20 long page introductions. : ..Obviously they care or they wouldnt voice their concern. Respect to them and boo to jagex for not listening. Some of those people literally spend years trying to improve or fix the game and all other players do is bash them and suck on jagex. Btw I love the shop update. ..I could find a few other things as a paying customer to complain about though lol.
  8. I still remember being confused how someone in black clothing suddenly appeared and gave me this cube thing. I kept thanking him but he always vanished after. I remember the very first time I was wondering around and started killing cows and he appeared haha. He actually got on my nerves after a while and thought it was a prank or something. I later understood what random events were....
  9. I owned those dark wizards for ya pal! Stick to the goblins kk!! *Hands over a few hundred million gp to help get him on his feet*
  10. Combat Level: 102 Total Level: 1965 Highest Skill Level: 98 Smith Highest Combat Skill Level: 82 attack or 94 magic Knowledge of the Game (see below): [only put number] ^^ Scrap that I will rate my knowledge out of 10 that has nothing to do with your rating thingy sorry. 8/10. I know how to train skills efficiently, I know secrets of the game. I dont know anything about combat and drops etc, I dont remember quests I did more 24 hours ago. :XD: I have no clue about many mini games etc. (Basically I know alot about what I enjoy and next to nothing about the stuff I dont enjoy)
  11. When that boy gets a girlfriend I can bet what his first request will be. You su... "Did you have a good time?" It su.. -- I think jagex need to advertise on serious gaming sites to attract more hardcore and casual gamers alike. Miniclip was needed and a good decision for jagex but is now over balanced with small boys and mini adults.
  12. I like to train all of my skills but what you say is true. If I kept switching between them I wouldnt get anywhere fast, meaning I wouldnt level, meaning I would get bored fast. I figured I would train a skill I enjoy, then partner it with a different skill. Such as.. Mining and smithing. Wc and firemaking. This way I would woodcut a level or 5 then switch to firemaking and gain a level or 5 with that. I then choose to either switch back to woodcutting to train something else. This way I dont get bored and enjoy training all my skills while not interupting my mental state between them. Great thing is when I smith I also use alot of magic so I kinda get magic free. I often use a third skill in the process when training two other partnered skills. Farming is a great skill to train because it interupts all of the other skills when you have to go plant your trees. Once you have done your farming you feel refreshed when you return to whatever you were doing. The negative side of this is.. takes forever to get to 99. But 99 has never been a goal of mine so it works good for me. I know eventually I will hit 99 and be sad I wont train the skill anymore. :-k
  13. I am not dissing your topic but I find some of these points also a blessing. To make a more interesting post I have copied your points and added my thoughts. I;''';;'m not necessarily disagreeing though. --------------- -Open to everybody, F2P or P2P --- Its great f2p can post outside but its also great on official forums they cant. :-w -No account action taken against you in game. --- Nor on official. -Topics don't get bumped off the 50th page in the same day. --- Gets rid spam nicely. -More intelligent discussions and topics. --- Untrue partially. Yes there are 'more' intelligent discussions outside BUT there are better (If rare or your blind) intelligent discussions on the official. -Less spam. ---- Yeh true -A censor to a lesser extent. ---- Yeh -No (or little) wannabe mods compared to rsb. --- More helpfull people though. -You can actually post pictures. --- Pr0n ftw -You can have sigs. --- Can on official manually. :) (Limit isnt an issue, its limited here too.) -You can have avatars. --- Yeh thats a bad point of official. -You can discuss irl. --- Dont understand sorry -You can discuss other games. --- Yeh but.. seperate part of forum. -You can bash Jagex's rules and staff. --- Yeh thats fun. -You can link websites. --- Ok -You can post youtube videos. ---- Ok -You can use colored chat effects. --- Who uses them. -Drop down/hidden logs. --- Their forum needs updating like everything else. ------------------- I will add something of my own.. You dont need to write out your login and password EVERY time. You dont get logged out for inactivity.
  14. Because too many level 120-126's cb characters appeared in the game after pc. SOMETHING made it easier.. It must of been pc! Its the highscores that reflect this. Their are too many 126's characters that have no soul or skill in the game. They think they are better than all the 1-119's cb characters.. they dont know how to play other aspects of the game. I have spoken to or seen many 120-126's characters (There are generally atleast two of them wherever I train) and they dont know how to train their skills or make money. I have had some ask directions and how to do obvious stuff? It scares me. :ohnoes: I never had this before pc? They talk different.. childish. I dont know but since pc things have gone downhill.. Most people looked up to 126's for advice etc. Now if you speak to them they are.. well.. idiots? Alot of them can be rude. Atleast alot of 110-120 characters are very rude to me. Obviously this is because they think they are better than me, they cant see my true 'total' level that can *bleep* them back to tutorial island. Before pc I spoke to 126's because I KNEW they bested my total. I knew they must be clever intelligent people who I could learn from. I looked up to them. I could speak to them and have a decent conversation. Nowadays I dont need to check, I KNOW I beat them hands down everytime. Its saddening.. I nearly always beat their freaking slayer level too?! :?: :?: Pc destroyed an important social role in the game. I also agree with this new runecraft update making things easy but the difference is.. a 126 was someone you looked up to. People will respect and copy what 126 does and the more rude players that become 120+ the worse the community will become. As for pures.. they smell funny. :-w
  15. In alot of other games drop trading is allowed and I would. Infact it was necessary sometimes to store items on mules. In alot of other games world hopping is frowned upon, while in runescape it is encouraged! :o It is very hard to mine rune etc without world hopping and jagex appear to encourage this behavior. I dont believe they have a rule againt it while often in other games they do have a rule stating you shouldnt and can ban you for it. Personally I dont see what the harm is in drop trading and its a silly rule. ..You could say the knowledge you gained from your main is an unfair advantage when you start a new account. Giving cash or items to a new account wont hurt anyone else. Faaaar back in my earlier newbier days I had other accounts to help me scout wild when f2p mining. I trained them up and possibly maybe gave them armor from my main, i cant remember. =; That was when I didnt understand the rule and was accustomed to using mules to store items from previous games. Giving items from one char to a different char was second nature to me from 20 years of gaming.. :?: :-s
  16. Jagex modship for a single day with a free pass to ban everyone I want. First I would lock people from joining the world I am on. Then I would go around banning all the autoers I can find on that world.. then I will ban everyone on my ignore list.. then I will turn my public chat on and ban everyone who insults me or uses the word noob. Ban everyone who follows me and begs for money etc etc. (Despites these powers I wont abuse them! I realise I could freaten people to give me all their stuff but thats not in my interest.) After that I will finally! be able to see who the nice mature people are and hold a decent conversation. ..Or I might find myself very alone lol. While I do this I want a father christmas costume that makes me sing christmas songs as I walk around. Complete with a giant hammer double the size of my character, with a swinging motion to hit those I ban with. Pleaaaase jagex! Just a single day! *Sends his letter to jagex with a cookie* Lol im just messing.. I would love a dragon pickaxe for christmas though! (And some hot loving from my partner  )
  17. Thats why I choose to post on other forums rather than this one because it seems no fun, too bossy. A community should also have some 'fun' involved with its members. When youtube vids of a guy killing a mole thing with a chicken gets moved somewhere 'I will never look..' then it aint as much fun to be part of the forums. The rest of the threads are just cookie cut threads about regurgitated topics. This forum is great for intellectual stuff but its too restrictive making it no fun. I rather not have to shift through hundreds of stickies or sub forums for things that could be considered acceptable here but gets moved.
  18. Its obviously effected the prices and everyone has a goal for 99 it seems. For me it just made things more difficult. I liked the look of the fm cape and decided I wanted it.. except I need a partner skill to train with it such as wc. So instead of my goal of 99 mining and smithing I had previous the update, I now got to cut stupid trees and burn things. :P It hasnt effected the way I train or the cost for me. I am maybe more motivated and glad you atleast get SOMETHING at 99 but thats about all. Its a nice way to show off your accomplishment to others while feeling proud yourself. Btw I dont have a goal for 99 actually but rather just train them and know they will be 99 sooner or later while I train other stuff too..
  19. Can I mention myself because i have a 1959 total with 102 cb  ..And I shaw mention this other dude, 'sato au' who is nearly always ranked one lower than me for over 6 months and also has no 99's yet. \ I always see him next to me on the highscores lol. They raise.. I raise.. Or I raise.. They raise. I dont do it intentionally to stay above. I find it interesting to see how well they are doing.
  20. I dont care about them anymore, they are too childish nowadays. Annoying quests that take up alot of time. =; Its those quests I dread the most.. It isnt right to feel that way.
  21. There are plenty of buyers, Many MANY sellers. The people asking for 12k for rune ore and 14k for bars dont realise this or merchanters? I always refuse them and they spend hours selling them with no success :-k They think anything over 500 ore/bars is alot and should cost more. #-o The problem is the lower you are the cheaper you need to buy it, the higher you are the less dependent you are on buying low as your able to sell things higher. (Gaining the same profit but easier to buy in bulk) This is how the prices are set and why it makes it harder for a lvl 85 smither to start out on rune. I always buy rune ore at 11.5kea, and bars 13.5kea, I know those people make profit so I am happy at those prices. I buy rune ore at 11.5kea as I can still make a profit while out doing' those buying at 11kea. The pre-made bars themselves take time to smith so I make the same profit not spending the time needed superheating them. Your best bet is to buy at 11k-11.5kea and smith rune bars, selling for 13.5kea. If you want to spend all day you could sell for 14kea.. but a perm buyer/quick (under 10 hours or so) you can sell at 13.5kea/13kea for bars. Your right tho, this skill isnt about making money. Stick to rune mining for that.
  22. I agree with some of the things said here. I enjoy mining and smithing far more than any other skill. Smithing = creative perhaps. (Which I am) Mining = challenge/respect or something. Fortunatly I find most high lvl miners very nice and share etc, including me. Its rare I meet someone over 90 that mines others, perhaps a f2p just become member? F2p worlds are harsh when it comes to mining. I also enjoy agility and happen to run alot in rl. =D> Maybe I dont like herblore because I dont like drugs of any sort. :-s As for the 'nice' or 'not so nice' I think most cb people are just children becoming adults. They think those cb stats make them a man? :shame: Then insult everyone.
  23. Yes it should be againts the rules. Any decent person would agree. Its pretty pathetic how some people still continue to try lure me when buying something like.. rune ore. Maybe they should check the rest of my stats besides my combat? Why are they complete morons thinking I will go anywhere but a bank holding that kind of cash. :? Heck even if I get asked to to the mage training arena I stand outside (Even tho I have used it) just incase they got some weird lure going on to kill me. Maybe there is.. I donno. No point in risking it. *Calls from outside* lol You think its fare people try to sell me 5k rune ore everyday at vorrock pub or wtf. -_- Its getting far far more common. Btw I love trading in edge because its easier to use a glory than getting runes out/wasting runes. Far easier to switch to the next charged glory and recharge them weekly.
