  1. I always enjoy these "You got what you deserve" moments. Especially when they involve some pain.
  2. DK2 is XP compatible. Atleast for me it is. But that lack of DK3 makes me shed a single, silent tear at the mere thought of it.
  3. Got nothing on this kid; And now for something completely different; ~removed, inappropriate - pryomancer
  4. Can I be the first to say I didnt enjoy Goldeneye 007? Controls were horrible, especially the aiming part. Though it was fun for multiplayer of "OHGODHOWDOICONTROLTHIS". But it tends to end up in a game of who can find the golden gun/most powerful gun first. I suppose i'd like Team Buddies to come back. An online multiplayer would be especially awesome. The local multiplayer itself was great fun.
  5. Well im glad someone got a correct hold of my post, thank you.
  6. I remember this thread from last time we had it way back when. Enjoy stroking each others egos. But hopefully this shan't spawn any more TIFer threads like before.
  7. So what are they? This is a serious thread. I was serious.
  8. So what are they?
  9. An anime about being a hoody doesnt really appeal. Though id watch one about cricket. "SUUPA KURIKETU SIKKUSU SUMASHU", "SUUPA SUPINNU GOOGURI". Ian Botham could make a guest appearance and be some sort of cricket demi-god. And im still waiting on CG23 since monday because it seems to lock itself at 10kb/s. What the hell, uTorrent.
  10. If youre going to have long hair, atleast look after it. Ive known countless people to grow long hair and just watch it diminish into a grease-ridden mess. And just put it into ponytails to mark each day or something Haruhi-style. Just having a mop on your head is kinda boring. And dont get tattoos, you will regret it later in life. A name will probably give you bad memories, bullets/chain/wire just looks [developmentally delayed]ed and youll look up the kanji character after you get it done and realise it says "homosexual love" or something. I know someone who got a tattoo and asked me what it meant (why he didnt check beforehand, I dont really know, he isnt the brightest knife in the drawer), I looked it up for him and it turns out its the kanji for "female phoenix bird". Note; him. I tend to keep my hair in a Negi-style mini ponytail. Though the ahoge is surprisingly hard to keep up.
  11. If I had to say one series not to watch in public, it'd probably be that. Or probably Ikki Tousen. Well, maybe Moe-tan. That got a lot of questions when my friend opened it on my computer. The one I was watching was Lucky Star, so it was just a lot of awkward questions of "Whats that?", "Its about what?", "You enjoy watching that?" and the thing that makes me see red is whenever I say its animu and they say "You mean like Naruto?". [bleep]ING. RAGE. Though I do occasionally sit in my college's common room and read Negima. Im not sure how they do it, but whenever someone asks me what im reading and look anyway they always time it so its on a shower/bath scene. Maybe they just have a lot of shower/bath scenes in Negima, things like that just fly under my radar nowadays.

Pfft, translation projects never deliver on time. I know from experience. And if you read closely I said I played Earthbound. Not MOTHER3. Utawarerumono, Battle Moon Wars, Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime and even Muv-Luv are all infinitely closer to being literature than any of the Earthbound series and probably any other game youd like to mention youve played. Now really, this isnt the thread for this discussion. Maybe its pointless and barely affects your actual trajectory and therefore nobody uses it [or too hard for what its worth]? Maybe its broken and nobody wants to look like a cheating sod? (I cant say I know how greatly using it would affect anything) Theres plenty of features in many games that nobody ever uses because they have little to no actual use since the fate would be similar in the end.
  13. Its funny because im not an outcast. Though thats not to say im hugely popular, either. lol, college. But we were talking about rods and cones (eye nerve connective things in the retina) today and the jokes were flying thick and fast. "Hurr, id subsect my rod to you, if you know what I mean", "If you were a nerve connecting you would be a cone because you take 4 at a time." The insanity never stops here.

I wasnt planning on carrying on, but you all seem so wanting to hear my opinion on it, I will. I know, this board needs more JPLS support. The combos are only unstoppable once you get a poke in. If you dont let them, they cant do their launcher and continue their combo. Think of it like fencing, striking gives you the opportunity to win but at the same time leaves you completely open to a counter. A game of "Oh well, if he hits me it wont do much and ill get up and do it again until I do hit him." is risk-free and boring. Its all very well using such terminology that may mean something, but its pretty null and void if it goes straight over my head. I could tell you im an expert at bara cancelling into a TK and whiff cancelling into a blockstring but itd mean nothing to you. You shouldnt even be able to alter your own flight path, that should only be determined by the person attacking you, its just another safety net for casual gamers. Ive played the game. Multiple times. Ive had a "light competition" against ~20 other friends of mine all of which have played the game and some of which own it and have completed it. I was able to beat over 3/4 of them simply by mashing buttons. It doesnt even feel complex. Most games after a while you can sort of get a feel for a combo you could pull off or a trick of some sort, yet I never feel that with SSB. Im not denying MOTHER3 might be a good game, but it is far from being literature. Play any sort of VN with gameplay and youll quite easily see they are worlds apart. And ill pass on your "essay" malarkey, but if youd like to write one in favour of MOTHER3, im not going to stop you. Correct. I have enough pride to admit so. What of it? Ive played Earthbound, I said so before, and its not as ground breaking as you make it out to be. I dont have a wii, so ill pass. Theres an online play because this generation expects it, without it the game would be merely a former shell of what it is now. Its held highly in regard because fan boys, especially with the edition of Snake and Sonic. People will play and like anything they can be familiar with. One person can dominate another - maybe, just maybe - because he knows what hes doing? I could play you at a card game and not tell you any rules or even the goal and dominate you. Does that mean the game has depth? Mugen is a pile of [cabbage], dont mention it ever. I dont wish I was Japanese, I just want to go to Japan. Differences; learn them. And enjoy your MOTHER3 translation. OH WAIT. My point. If its a "fighting game for people who dont do fighting games" it cant be considered much more than a parody. Its like comparing Ridge Racer [sSB, in this case] to Gran Turismo [GGXX]. Same genre, different dimensions. Still, I think this is a new personal best for me. Simultaneously trolling like 5 people at the same time.
  15. Ugh, I never watch animu on my PSP anymore. I cant stand the barrage of questions it attracts if someone notices. Youre "wasting" your time with me because you are incredibly easy to troll. Personally, im finding this whole thing hilarious, its not even irritating me in the slightest. But, if you want to end it there - its kinda anticlimactic - ill not stoke the fire anymore.

Are you for real? Ive swam in paddling pools deeper than brawl. Theres one strict move list for every character; Direction+Button. No real combo system and the shield/block is a joke. Brawl isnt meant to be played seriously, its a parody of a fighting game. That was relevant to the thread it was in, now hush.
  17. You mean people do that sort of thing on the internet? Sickening. And hooray for mindless "me-too"isms on the topic of 4chan.
  18. I dont watch animu online, the smaller fixed resolutions and horrible compression combined with subtitles often makes for a headache to watch. If you want to watch it, youre best bet is to download episodes either via a torrent or a DDL site such as AnimeTake. But if youre unable to actually download them for any particular reason, I cant say I know of any streaming sites.

Sorry for wanting to defend myself when I get talked about without my acknowledgement. Ill make a note of im not allowed to post unless it has 100% relevance to the thread its in. But couldnt the same be said of all posts replying to me? Youre adding to a snowball that isnt going to stop without a say-so. And if you didnt have a severe case of tl;dr, you wouldve noticed I did make a comment relating to this thread. Would you like me to make it a question so you can answer it easier? Here; "How do people play SSB* so seriously?". You make it out to be a deep fighting game with tiers and classes when its anything but. Still, if youre not willing to answer my question, ill leave it at that.

Stalking? I wonder how much more paranoia I can instil in you before long. You were the one talking negatively of me behind my back, I believe I had the moral high ground there. I just wanted to point such things out so you wouldnt trick yourself into thinking anything about me. And I think im free to post in any topic I please? But ill leave it at that, I neednt have you rage any more on a perfectly innocent thread. However, I still dont see how people can take playing SSB* this seriously, its fun to play with friends but its not exactly tier/class quality gaming. Oh and I didnt pick up on this earlier, so I will now; No. Just, no. Thats not even close.
  21. Id imagine theyre still tweaking with Cloud and/or he'll stupidly be an unlockable. Theres not a huge amount of insight to the gameplay outside of the actual battles, so its hard to say. If I had to guess id say you choose whoever you want to play with at the start and each character takes a different "route" across the board. For instance, choose Tidus and his final battle is against Jecht and such. Im not sure how the gil/equipment system is going to work though, I wouldve thought they mightve used an FFT-esque map system. Im hoping for the antagonists to be playable as well, but you never can tell with Enix.

lol. You are a fanboy for Earthbound Get off your high horse. I dont "hate Nintendo with an iron fist", youre presuming so. I cant say I particularly like them, however. And Naruto can eat a [bleep]. But seriously, though, youre fun to watch. Like a wind up toy with perpetual motion. I dont listen to people in general. Though I probably do take heed a little more if its animu related. I have enough pride to admit it.
  23. The problem is, after seeing it a few times, it stops becoming weird. The next thing you know you want more of it. Then when youve accumulated a lot of it, you start realising you actually do like it. This situation snowballs until a point where you carry around a cup in case you come across 2 females willing to partake in aforementioned pictures. Maybe I should carry around a cup, ive never actually asked anyone.
  24. Official Dissidia Site [JP] Gamespot Article Take the protagonist and their relative protagonist from each Final Fantasy game, put them into a 1v1 action RPG setting and what do you get? Dissidia! Im not sure if theres a website with a translated story - I havent bothered to check - but it seems like the gods (Chaos/Cosmos) are settling a fight over some crystals by each gathering 10 combatants and having them duke it out (keeps making me think of Crash Bash). Darkness / Light [*:2md1ohwm]FF1 - Garland / Warrior of Light [*:2md1ohwm]FF2 - Emperor / Frioniel [*:2md1ohwm]FF3 - Cloud of Darkness / Onion Knight [*:2md1ohwm]FF4 - Golbez / Cecil [*:2md1ohwm]FF5 - Exdeath / ? [*:2md1ohwm]FF6 - Kefka / ? [*:2md1ohwm]FF7 - Sephiroth / Cloud(?) [*:2md1ohwm]FF8 - Ultimecia / Squall [*:2md1ohwm]FF9 - Ruja / Zidane [*:2md1ohwm]FF10 - Jecht / Tidus [*:2md1ohwm]Gods - Chaos [Darkness] / Cosmos [Light] [*:2md1ohwm]System - PSP [*:2md1ohwm]Genre - Action RPG [*:2md1ohwm]Release Date - Dec 18, 2008 [JP]; TBA [uS/EU] Anyway, game looks awesome. Ill probably import it on its Japanese release just because of LOL REGION FREE. And ill forewarn you now, any well worded [or poorly, for that matter] arguments against this game will be falling on deaf ears.
