  1. Jessy, just drop the full mourners - it's easy to get a new set fairly quick. xXru1n3dXx, I'd drop all of the scarves and matching hats(and a lot of other holiday items too that you can get again), since you can get pairs back from Diango whenenver you want.
  2. The forums hugely over the game timewise for me. If I didn't browse tip it so much I probably would have been gone from rs a long time ago.
  3. I agree. I think it's about time we get some more space. Anyone want to look over my bank and tell me what you think I should trash? I crossed out in red ones I probably could just dump (and one I'm kidding about :P). And only tell me to trash it if there's no time I'll ever be able to use it. We really should make a thread like this for people to help each other with bank space problems. :P
  4. Even though we have that list, overrall I think (although we have no proof to it) that getting new younger gamers from sites like that just degrades the community. Not just adding a few annoying kids here and there. Like hammering down moreso that annoying begging type community. Runescape just shouldn't be another link in a series of flash games. I guess that's what happens though when the game is so easy to load up and start playing.
  5. You just make another camel head on the pedestal with another soft clay while you do the quest.
  6. I remember you - you're a great poster. Definitely try out playing for awhile and see how things are. If you have friends that still play it should be fun.
  7. You just said that it was a cycle of reupdating things. If that's the case, there would be no end. But anyways, rs has been around over 4 years now, and so far they haven't messed up the game to the point of it dying. Most updates are designed for a level 30 anyway, so even if they make high level requirement items, the game will continue to keep luring in more new players, and that's what the game is about. Getting people addicted to f2p enough, lured into p2p, and keeping them subscribing. Seems to be working to me, and I don't see any end coming up in any time until a new game pops up like rs but is better in every way.
  8. I'd imagine it would be above or below the health bar's position if it was coded in.. I like the idea myself. If you're in fally and there are words everywhere, just space yourself out. That's just one specific place in one world - other than that one reason for it being not useful, it shouldn't negate the whole usefulness of the idea.
  9. Lowest weeks around 0-2. Highest weeks if there's a massive update or skill out I'd say 40ish. An average week, probably 3-10.
  10. They don't IP ban...there's no reason too. For instance, I have a static IP on cable, but I can get a new one by simply releasing and renewing my IP. I could change it no problem... I think that Adam007 pretty much nailed it on the head. 15,000 players out of the 100,000's that play is very little. Didn't Jagex say millions? :o Yeah, I remember something along the lines of them saying 2million+ accounts have been created, but that was a real long time ago. I'd say at least 3-5million exist now. 15k out of that is pretty insignificant. Still, whatever amount banned is a good amount. :)
  11. Maybe have the 5 second only apply to when you're using the feature that brings back what you just typed, and not to regular chat.
  12. let me guess, you feel like "being generous" to a friend and give him 5 mill. then your friend "feels generous" and gives your pure 5 mill. thats still breaking the rules, buddy. Actually there was a screenshot of a jmod somewhere saying doing that isn't against the rules. :P and why does jagex state in there rules then, that you can own as many accounts as you can, but they musnt interact with eachother in any way Technically those two accounts aren't interacting at all. If person A gave person B 1k, then person B gives person C 1k, there isn't any interaction between person A and C.
  13. I second that.. Only price that might go up is the price of rares.. There must be some auto'ers with a few rares on their accounts.. (i don't own rares) The price of raw supplies will likely be quite unaffected by this mass ban. Perhaps down the road, items like Rune Ess and Sharks will return to their normal values (rising 10-15%), but that is more of a good thing than a bad thing. The items that have been truly impacted by these mass bans are Rares. Santas and Party Hats are up nearly 10% this morning solely due to the mass bans. No one has any idea how many Rares have been removed from the game, and the amount is even less distinguishable 2-3 hours after the bans, but the sole fact that 15K accounts are now gone has increased the demand immensely. Rares are really the only items which have the capacity to change prices short-term, which is really a good thing for Runescape. With Rares in the game, many of the economic forces are absorbed by the miniscule Discontinued Items market, leaving Supplies, and even most Pseudo-Rares at stable values. That's only market sentiment really. This is only a reaction to people going "Oh my gosh. Players were banned. If players were banned, party hats and rares left with them. If rares left the game, supply went down. If supply went down, demand went up. If supply went down and demand went up, then...OMG PARTY HATS GOIN THRU THE ROOF!! EVERYONE LOOK! THEY'RE GOING TO GO UP NOW CUZ OF THE BAN!" That really shows that the rare economy probably will, and is, being effected by the bans. NOT because of any supply change. Because of a demand change, and market sentiment. People are hearing others say that rares are gone, so they're creating the rising prices for themselves. Any price changes right now aren't because of any bannings. They're only a recoil of everyone speculating how prices will change - which does change prices, but not because of the bannings. People are just bringing price changes, if any, upon themselves right now. I doubt we'll see much of a real change in prices.

Heh, I didn't notice who wrote it til I replied. For some reason I thought it was the original poster.

Oh man, I agree. Don't those idiots know that the speed limit is actually the MINIMUM speed you are allowed to drive at? Grr, luckily most people on the road are sensible and drive at least 10-20 Kmph above the minimum speed. I'm pretty sure technically the speed limit is the maximum you're supposed to drive at.. And you should normally drive at most under around 5. Depending on road conditions slower than that. But the speed limit (at least in the US) is not the minimum you're allowed to go - although some people drive like it is.
  16. I tried that also on the lens like you could before. Didn't work. :( Oh well. Woulda been cool to have a pink lantern in addition to the blue light sapphire one. By the way, anyone know if that specific cape is new, or if this just a new way to obtain that item?
  17. High detail only with sound effects on, and nowadays instead of listening to my dl'd songs I used pandora.com's feature that plays a lot of music that fits my tastes that I might've not heard before.
  18. Besides the fact of inflation, it's just downright easy to make money, even as a level 3 in members. For one, you can do the world 66 law thing, and make almost 10k per every trip to entrana and banking in Draynor. Or they can run natures for crafters who pay 7k plus the natures they crafted, which is even more. All in the name of them getting their skill up, and the low level getting fast money off of that desire of the high level valuing xp so much over gp.
  19. yep i almost got pked there i came back with rune and my weapon they ran away... What is the point of Pkin a runecrafter? an ammy?? waste of runes or time if ya ask me Yeah, waste of time for both sides especially since they'd have tellied if you didn't tellieblock them first. The odds are just against you in getting a good outcome in going down to their level and even acknowledging that they're there. First you consider the time you originally wasted going off track to get your new equipment to fight. Then you go to fight and there's a small chance you're the one who ends up being killed if the pker knows what he/she's doing or if you lag up. Then assuming you don't die, there's only a small chance they don't run, or escape on the brink of death. Then the fight is over and you either have to return to edgeville with nothing (you died) or go back and switch back to rc'ing gear. All that work just to continue runecrafting where you could have just taken 30 seconds to switch. And even assuming you got rid of the pker, what's stopping another one from coming seconds after you killed the first one? Just an endless cycle of world switch pkers world chasing world switch rc'ers. IMO the rc'ers win by just ignoring them. Not giving them attention by entertaining them (whether they win or lose) with a fight, but by them not havign anyone to fight.
  20. They actually stayed to fight you? Overall, I have nothing against RC PK'ers. The only ones I despise though are those who will attack you whilst you're RC'ing, but teleport as soon as you come back ready to fight them  That's why I see the whole thing as being a waste of time. Essentially you try to save your own time by getting them to change worlds instead of you, but in the end you just used up more time that you could have saved by quickly changing worlds within 30 seconds instead of withdrawing and changing all your equipment to fight. Then you get your abyss rc'ing stuff back out, only to find a new pker you have to take out, all the while risking your own death. Just not worth the time or effort to me. It might seem kind of cowardly, but when I rc, my goal is to get efficient and quick xp. Not to lay down the law or clear out the level 5 wildy, but just to runecraft. Abyssal pkers to me are just distractions that I don't want to have to deal with.

  22. I'm sure everyone has had to deal with their chat box being flooded by a player mod with nothing to say but ramblings, while they just want quiet, having public chat set to off. You might say not to look at it, but even if there's text in a vicinity of my eyes, I still read it. Now I'm not mad at them - everyone has goofy moments, and can't expect to act proffesional every second while playing runescape, but here's where my idea comes into play. Just having pmods be given a hotkey to have a crown by their name. It would help in a few ways. First, for anonymity. I know plenty of people who hate being bugged with questions just because they see a crown by their name. And once you're given that crown, you're somewhat expected at all times to have important things to say, and when you don't, you get criticized for not acting how you should. Secondly, sometimes I just don't want to hear what pmods have to say. They're just regular players, and what they have to say if they're not talking to me is really of no importance to me. So why not have the crown not show up, or at least text not pass thru the public blocks unless the pmod holds down something like tab+enter instead of just enter when they say what they want to say? Makes enough sense to me.
  23. Because, they are trying to take over everything, google is like teh wal-mart of the internet. Besides, there's so much hype about google, I've just about had enough of hearing about it ;) How can it be taking over if they're distributing them for free as opposed to the normal services that people have to pay for? By breaking that 'pay to get it' boundary, it not only creates better competition, it just helps everyone out. They're not really taking over things anyways. Much of what they've released has been on pretty new ground, like the original search engine obviously, but also google maps, google earth, and more stuff I can't think of right now. Surely that hype can't be unwarranted? (edit) - Now they're going into the radio business: http://www.2loop.com/articles/google.htm
  24. Taking supply and demand to the extreme there? For me though, I wouldn't even bother. Your speed with abyss runecrafting depends a lot on how much time you spend running vs walking, which is effected by your weight, so I only take besides the standard necesities an ectophial and rune pick. If I get pked, it's annoying - but at least in the long run I saved time ignoring them instead of fighting them. Besides, engaging in combat with them increases your own chances of getting a quick tb+entangle, then there's a somewhat high chance of dying. I do like the idea but it's not for me.
  25. They're always coming out with new things, now it's Google SMS and Google Local, both for cell phones. The features of Google SMS:
