I wouldn't judge the whole community based on one person. Is it any surprise that there are idiots who play runescape? Not to me at least. Don't take one example, generalize it, and then think because of this one example the whole community is going downhill. There have been people like him since runescape started. It's just that since there are so many people playing, you have so many more of a percentage of idiots.

I kind of believe in a mix of the theories. I believe that we came to earth from a big bang that was brought up by a higher level being like God, but that we evolved still, just with 'guidance' through it all from a God.

Demon, maybe you can label someone as an autoer by them playing erratically or whatever, but don't assume that just because they aren't responding to you doesn't mean that they auto. People sometimes just don't feel like reading the nonsense that people say in some areas, so they just turn off chat. Nowadays I block regular chat a lot. If I happen to not answer, that doesn't make me an autoer. But yeah, the default look and erratic or paved playing are usually signs.

They could be autoers, but that doesn't have any connection to the fact that they have their pm status to friends or off.

Nice find. Although jagex has mentioned on their corporate site that they're interested in advertising in-game, I think it's just a coincidence that they look similar. It's really just a few lines which happened to look similar to that logo and have the same background color imo.

That's totally ridiculous... Most of the macro accounts were level 3s. What idiot would transfer a Party Hat onto an account that runs the risk of getting banned daily? :roll: There are plenty of Party Hats left in the game despite people hoarding them, leaving the game without selling them, or what have you. It's such a shame that these hats have reached ridiculous prices but what can you do... That's what JAGeX gets for not interfering in the economy. You're suggesting they should? There's no need to. And they have, actually, if you haven't noticed. They're trying to devalue gold all the time, and reduce high alching with alterior methods. Also they're putting in more and more money drains. So they're aware and working on it. They can't really do anything though to change the path party hats are in though. If blue party hats keep on their trend of growth, they'll be at least 1billion gp by this time next year. And there are plenty of people that do that. You're not guaranteed exponential growth in too many investments out there. :P

I think you mean "greedy people" :wink: No, more like 'popular demand'. People like saradomin and zamorak better than guthix so they sell the pages for more, and people are willing to buy at those prices :wink: I think it has more to do with use. I could care less which god clothes I'm wearing. I'm going to pick the one with the stats that will personally benefit me, and I'm sure many other people would rather pick stats over their 'allegience.'

Well, it does. When you kill stuff or do other stuff, fishing and such, do you actually look at the screen ALL the time? You never browse at forums and stuff? Anyway, what other afk spots you know? :P Oh, I don't pay much attention at all. I was just saying that there are better auto attack places than that place, like ogres or shades or bandits.

At 25hp each though, some hits would be wasted, reducing xp. Fighting something with higher hp would probably get better xp. Just because they auto attack doesn't make the place better than ogres or something. It's also kind of far from a bank. I don't think the fact that you can sell and rebuy food and their speed of attacking makes it worth it still.

Everyone seems to remember a set price of 'the old prices.' :P For me the number that sticks out is 10m for some reason. I remember them being less, some numbers just stick out in my memory like that of prices. Anyway, they're about 160-180mil (I think?) right now. And nobody has any idea at all to a guess of a number of blues in the game.

I think by now everyone can figure out that random events are put in the game to stop macroers. I doubt whoever typed that even thought about the fact that he didn't phrase it as 'random event,' the politically correct way of saying it. I think you're just overanalyzing how the guy phrased the update.

Well, of course crossbows are already in the game, silly, we have the Phoenix/regular crossbow and Karil's Crossbow. That, however, is of a different structure than both of those. And like I said, there's a definite connection between crossbows and the Orient. And we all know that the CG'ed NPCs Jagex puts on their site never do things in positions we see in game (wizard playing draughts with a skeleton :lol: ). Speculation, speculation, speculation, it's all for fun. I meant that specific crossbow is already in the game. Not crossbows in general. I'm just wondering if those people are from in-game footage of what they have in their systems, or just drawn up like you said.

I saw on the official forums that the crossbow is already in the game. I'm not sure what kind it is, but they proved that it already exists. As for the sword, there actually was another picture with a sword like that, and I even remember some threads speculating the same thing you are. The picture was in some desert area, I think. Anyway, I think that rogue guy's pose and weapon aren't necessarily even coded into the game yet(as unreleased, just pictures made). It seems misleading to me anyway with that fighting pose, because no NPC's in the game really shift to positions like that. It would be cool if jagex eventually coded us to fight in those type of styles.

Initiate armor looks like steel (g) type armor would.

I agree, it's pretty useless nowadays. Maybe it would be used more often if there wasn't the whole recharging issue. Because of that I've only casted iban blast once since I got it back in rsc. :P

Those aren't anywhere near at all close to being similar prices. Are you basically trying to say that people ask a lot more than what the prices really are? Or am I just not getting what you're trying to get through.

I miss that sooo much. :( Prima, where did you get some of your data? To me it seems like generalizations off of looking at a few pages of selling\buying posts on the rs forums, especially the figure of "Red p-hat, buying, 13M Red p-hat, selling, 95M " and the blue party hat selling for 250mil figure. Outliers like that are just people trying to get prices to change and normally can be ignored.

I just put it on my ipod too. I wonder if it will sound all surround playing in my car. Might even sound real to people that don't know it's coming from speakers if it works just like it did with headphones. I think it would get the left and right directions(did in my regular speakers) but probably not the up and down ones though.
