Tip.It Times Presents: N0valyfe Speaks!
Ha, that'd be harder to get than any interview out there. :P To the people complaining about his responses...lighten up a little bit. Do you really expect him to be some really charasmatic energetic celebrity type figure? That's not really what I'd picture. The responses he gave were fine and I'd love to see a more interesting interview out of any of you complainers.

3 April 2006 - Behind the Scenes - April
Your logic confounds Jagex's design plan. I see back to back months of updates for low levels to kick off the spring newbie recruiting season. Its just business, you know. Well generally it seems that when there's a month that's overly bad, a great update comes the next month to compensate for it. I can tell this is going to be sub-mediocre though. Normally jagex flowers up their words and everyone gets all excited for the month when they post, expecting great things. Ordinarilly those 'great concepts' turn out to be pretty lame and useless and wrap up a typical month. With this one peopel aren't even the usual excited and 'tricked' into thinking that we're going to have a great month, meaning it's probably, like we're saying, going to be pretty bad. Just gotta hope for a compensating May (maybe with poh + carpentry?). :P

Sleep? :P I'd imagine either race for xp or just get castle war armours, chompy hats, those kind of things.

The Future Of Pking
I hope so I don't think you read that right. At least in my opinion we'd want core foundational changes, not bandages after bandages wrapped over each other repeatedly hoping eventually the wild will be right.

POH closer than we think? (April)
You're saying the private server runners created those items themselves and none of it's associated with jagex's creations at all?

April Fools... You know you love them.
My favorites: Short sheeting a family member's bed - It's quick and easy. Just pull up the sheet at the end of the bed backwards up towards the front and flip it over and tuck it in. When the person gets under their covers, they find that they can only get half in. Charging up an old cell phone and setting the alarm to go off the next day on april fool's day, while hiding it in an unreachable or hard to find spot like heat vents in a family member's room. Another is to tell a family member that they got a phone call while they were out, give them the number to their local zoo, and have them ask for (from some site the names were given) " Buffy Lowe, Ellie Font, Jay Raffe, Ty Gere, Bab Heun and the old standby, Anna Conda."

Oh, that H20 can be so harmful.

POH closer than we think? (April)
who would spend that much time on a website just to make it an april fools joke? That must have takin a really long time to type out. Yeah, I'd be speculative if there were like under 100 objects, but this is 1k+ and massive. And it barely even reaches that many people.

Money Per Hour (mph) Survey!
Well my only income is from my party hats, which I'd guess would bring in a few hundred gp per hour? :P But really when I want to make some cash I just run nats, which is about ~200k an hour for me.

Lazy Cats?
Not too long, about an hour of it following you. On the subject though, does anyoen know how to turn a lazy cat back to a wily cat?

BIG FAVOR
Description on the back 8) . What's going to get a 13 year old to pick up this package and spend time reading what the game's about even? Forgetting the fact that this feature would only apply to a select minority of runescape players already, I really doubt that it would be successful in getting any significant of new players (again, why would anyone except a curious bored kid read a random package in a store that just so happens to have swords or whatever on it?) If jagex were to advertise, that wouldn't be the best way to do it. Other than that, again, I just doubt that if those were sold they would be targetting enough players. Maybe jagex could make a deal with a select store like 7/11 or something and announce on the website to get cards from there, but that would be the most that could/would ever happen.

Dragon Kin in the Future?
I kinda figured we'd eventually get dragonkin added to the game, since there was an actual dragonkin npc in a somewhat recent quest.
-
BIG FAVOR
Not enough peopel know about the game for them to sell subscription cards in stores. Factoring the price of shipping and packaging, they'd hardly turn a profit.

Monday's update?
So for any one who has done the quest, it looks like we will now get a chance to redo the taking Ivan through the vampires part of the quest over and over. The update may also give us reasons to go out smithing a bunch of steel half armor sets and silver sickles, or bringing food the odd swamp food to these people so that they can make it through the paths easier (both of those things were little-known options you could do with Ivan to allow him to have better defence or have food to eat to live longer). Ugh, I'd hate it if it was the Ivan thing over and over. I could only do that in the first place by hiding him in a corner and blocking the monsters from attacking him. It does sound similar to it though, the whole option one or option two type thing from the last quest. I always like it when they connect updates with related quests instead of jumping from area to area though.

GMU Final Four!
My bracket's already messed up beyond repair. I want GMU to go all the way, if not them, then LSU or Villanova (hopefully they beat Florida, not looking too good so far. :s).

post your hidden updates here
I'm not positive, but I think icefiends were given a drop list with this update. Before this update I researched them for the bestiary when they just came out and they had no drops, but suddenly got in a lot of submissions saying that they drop things now.

The massive cooking experience
Nobody said you were. It's the combination of people selling their stuff raw instead of cooking or using them, plus autoers too.
-
The massive cooking experience
So you're saying every p2per is an auto-ing shark fisher? No? I didn't even mention sharks, and if you got that out of what I did say, can you show me the sentences where you thought I did? I only said that most p2p are the consumers of the raws brought into the game. Sharks I don't really know about - are they autoed much to be in such a high supply?
-
The massive cooking experience
It may be true that autoers are a big source of it, but don't forget how massive just the general fishing population of the f2p worlds are. F2p basically is p2p's haven for getting cheap raw supplies in mass. Through going from middleman to middleman in the scheme of merchanting, that's where those huge deals of selling thousands at once come from. All a combination of autoers and f2p'ers exhausting hours and hours into getting all of those mass numbers of raws.

GM foods!
Not in the end product there isn't. Thats like saying there's a difference between 4 and 4 depending on whether the addition is 2 + 2 or 3 + 1. Except those are different methods, even if you think the end product is the same. With artificial selection, you're not directly modifying anything. No gene splicing, no direct changes that have been altered to their DNA. Since we don't know everything about genetics, we don't know if there is or isn't any other alterations that could be existing that we don't know of by changing the base nucleotides. Some enzymes that are changed to change one factor may indirectly influence another, and it's always possible that unintentionally it could happen. With artifical selection, it's a little bit more natural than literally changing the genetic code of something.
