  1. I still don't get why people think that. It's not like natures directly depend on the price of essence. They've always had a set price, and the fact that runecrafting even exists just makes them drastically more common. What's it matter if a rune essence costs 50 or 60, even 100 gp when the crafter is still making PURE PROFIT? The only reason that natures would go up would be because of greed and manipulation on the forums from people linking the two together. Basically the only reason that p2p'ers should complain is those who craft on world 66 laws. They lose a lot more money. Every other p2p crafter still makes huge profits.
  2. At least it will deter the guys that macro, because they don't want pay ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã3.20/$5 a month. The way I see it, they'll just be helping jagex by becoming members. The difference in pure essences versus the other kind in price will be so big that it will be worth it for them to pay the five bucks for the character to become a member, and them autoing pure essence would pretty quickly cover the five dollars and go beyond. Eventually they'd obviously get banned, but they would have made the five bucks back so it wouldn't matter to them. I guess the way jagex could have looked at it is that there will always be autoers no matter how hard they work to combat it, but at least have those autoers be p2p.
  3. I don't really see what kind of reply you're expecting. They're aware about tons of others in your situation also. For them, there isn't any loss at all. Tons of f2p members are in the same situation now. Either pay five dollars and it all gets fixed for them, or don't, and complain about it. To jagex though, neither end is a bad one for them, unfortunately for you.
  4. I don't really know about the f2p situation too well, but your example for p2p doesn't really hold too well. You're suggesting that instead of crafting natures to make money we instead just mine pure essence? Maybe I didn't read what you wrote right, because I don't understand what you mean by " those of you who make your money from Runecrafting can cut out a very lengthy part of the process," but I doubt anyone would mine essence for money instead of crafting nature runes. Mining any kind of essence is plain and simply as inefficient as it gets. If I'm going to be spending time on rs, I'm going to use that time wisely. It doesn't make sense to be mining essence if you can craft natures. The difference of gp you make per hour is huge.
  5. I love how people on the forums are acting like the ultimate authority on the prices, like they know for certain what high price pure essence should be at. For p2p crafters it shouldn't be a problem because all the money is easily made back. It's just going to be a lot more expensive for the world 66 power levellers. Not to mention this kind of disconnects p2p from f2p players even more.
  6. etleast the helm gives str bonus... but full dragon is more like something yo have then wearing for real combat... bttr buy battow if you need it for combat :P but its still buttr then rune etc... i'm sorry i didn't understand a word of that if you dont understand that maybe you should pay attention more in english lessons :S Too bad what was said has nothing to do with what's taught in english classes. At least my teacher never taught me about words like btter and buttr and how sentences can exist without punctuation. I must have missed out on that day. :( Back on topic - I don't think the guy who was selling should have marketted that like he did. If that's full dragon, then what's the old full dragon called?
  7. They must not check very thoroughly then. There are tons of grammar and spelling errors throughout runescape, most that never get fixed. I can't remember specifics, but I think there are still some things that haven't been fixed since rs2 came out.
  8. I'm not sure one way or another about this, but since players can't walk through npc's, isn't it true that npc's can't walk through players? In that case, I think it would be helpful for people in gated areas to stand right on the gate's two squares in front of it on the side where the monsters congregate so the npc's can't attack the gates, and so when people idiotically open gates while they're brimmed full of monsters, the monsters can't all rush out.
  9. Statistically following the rates they've been going at, all of the party hats would have been sitting at the money cap for awhile five years from now. There won't be much trading going on, the hats would have massive price ranges, and most deals would be one hat and cash for another hat, since their gp value would be at the 2.1b money cap, unless jagex changes it by then.
  10. A good tip would be to bring a dragon halberd for those cases when there are enemies blocking squares off things you want to attack.
  11. We had a LOTRish setup. :P (the map)
  12. Apparently you guys haven't seen a forum post by Paul before... You do know though that if any skill at all could be matched or be better xp wise in this arena, there would be no more reason at all to train that skill regularly, basically ruining the skill buildup process itself.
  13. Oddly enough almost as soon as I logged on to p2p there were mithril bars being dropped by someone that started appearing all over the bank I was in. I was surprised by how generous people were on p2p, by the high amount of high levelled people everywhere, and just how much better p2p was.
  14. You know people aren't going to stop posting that they notice a graphic change. If anything, you should request a sticky be made for peopel to post hidden updates they see. I really don't mind reading hidden update topics, even if they seem pointless. Just because you hate reading them doesn't mean there are some peopel ou there that like to know things, even when they're trivial. So don't speak for everyone using the word 'we' and 'nobody cares.'
  15. I've needed bank space for months now. I just can't keep new quest stuff I get, and have to donate stuff to people and TET stuff because there's just no way to make any room in my bank. We haven't had an increase in a really long time, and it's about time we get one.
  16. Mostly just try to stay natural about how you talk. You don't want to sound rehearsed or anything.
  17. Ha, further back than that was even better. Hulk Hogan, Doink the clown, Jake the snake, 1-2-3 Kid, Yokozuno, Sting, Ric Flair... I can't stand watching wresting for any longer than 10 minutes nowadays though. Too much nonsensical yelling.
  18. Yeah, me too. The second reply of "we'd be dead," got kind of annoying. The thread's assuming we'd still be alive. What are you talking about? Are you like, serious? I'd, er, argue against your points, but the idiocy of them seems doesn't even need to be argued against... I think everyone's said most of the guesses. Taller, thinner, possibly more adapted to those things that kill us now, like junk food, so basically if we still eat so much junk food, it won't be as harmful for future generations. I would guess from travel eventually the world would all blend into one race, a color around what indian people look like. If we take the genetic engineering route and fully exploit the technology, who knows really.
  19. Ugh, sounds like a wannabe pmod convention. People who spend their days reporting autoers for hours and hours are just wasting time. Sure it's possible that jagex might ban some of them, but that only means the autoer needs to just click a few more buttons to pop out another character to replace the banned one. There are better ways to help the community in general than swarming around heavily autoed areas trying to get level 3's banned.
  20. Bye honest, and good luck to things for you in the future. We all appreciate your work put into tip it events and with the community.

About your stomach pains - if they're just pains, I don't know what it is, but if you frequently have to go #2 around when you get anxious, that's from irritable bowel syndrome. There isn't much that can be doen about it now in terms of medicine as of now, but it's being worked on. Your best bet really though is to just see a doctor or psychologist.
  22. Exactly. You found one bad instance, generalized on it based on a few prior ones, and then compared that to the whole history of runescape's community. A "Is the runescape community getting WORSE!?" thread comes up once a month. There's always going to be idiots, and you're always going to have to deal with them by playing a MMORPG. How you can generalize that the whole community is suddenly getting worse is beyond me. Overall it may be, but it's not something that just happened overnight. Gradually, yes, as younger players start this game and the percentage of them increases in amounts, you'll notice that more and more often. But I just don't get how people based off a few experiences get this epiphany that suddenly the runescape community just started to go downhill. This 'downhill' trend you're talking about started the day the game came out. There will always be a percentage of idiots playing this game. That percentage might fluctuate or it might just be going up, but overall no matter what if there are more people playing, there will be more of those 'idiots' playing.
  23. To a degree you have a point, but this argument coming up so often gets just as annoying or more as complaints themselves. Yes, everyone's aware that it's bad to complain about jagex's updates because it annoys everyone else. That doesn't mean there's some unwritten rule though that we can't talk about what we like and dislike about what's coming up. And so what if people complain? As long as they give a reason to why they think something is bad, more power to them.
  24. Except with msn, that's not real interaction. Sure, you're sending smileys and talking, but it's still impersonal and you're not developing any crucial social skills at all by doing that. Talking with real people, real faces, real expressions, real tones, real emotions, can never be substituted or replaced by instant messengers. (Not to mention the obvious other disadvantages such as lack of exercise, sunlight, or just plain old fresh air).
  25. You can also sit regularly in the games arena.
