  1. I would challenge that statement as complete and utter tosh! Are you one of those who runs around just opening doors? It can take several minutes to finish the boss. My CB level is 20 higher than yours and you say you can do it 70 minutes quicker. Do me a favour, dont post nonsense. Lets find a time that you and I are both free. We'll do lets say F15 2:1. You can time me. But seriously, I average 10min (9-16minute asymmetric interval). Here is what I do. As soon as dungeon start, I open doors. Kill monsters that I need to kill (guardian doors and low level ones). I avoid the high lvl monsters (114 mage, 90 shade). In the dead end rooms, I leave 1 or 2 of the highest lvl monsters behind. I get my supplies as soon as I open my first door. I dont gatestone on smalls; home tele is sufficient. It is a 4x4, but the average number of rooms is only 12 or 13. 30% of rooms are empty. The time consuming rooms are the fishing ones and the making 5 weapons one. The golem room is easy, but that golem is a slow walker. I pray flick incredible reflexes for lvl 50+ monsters. I also avoid unnecessary running to save on energy. All of my numbers are for f2p dungeons only. So if you compare mem dungeons where you have more skills and perhaps a higher lvl cap, then 10min average completion time is of course not accurate. And solo bosses are usually 50-80combat for me. Beating it is around a minute or so. Again, there might be a discrepancy between mems and f2p dungeons. My solos are very easy and I have done numerous timings. I didn't pull that number out of nowhere.
  2. c6 solo should not take more than 10min, unless you punch all the monsters, mine all rocks, smith everything, rc, fish all spots, etc.
  3. My worst boss is Shadow forger. But harlaak is a close second.

    Selfish Dungeoneers

it boils down to efficiency: it takes a ton longer to clear all rooms, but the exp is only slightly higher. you gain less exp per hour killing everything. That's the information that matters to most of your fellow players. In f2p however, it is almost always worth it to do the extra rooms. Here is why. There is an added time to actually finding players for a team and starting a dungeon. In a world where there is no latency in finding teams, there might be instances in large dungeons where those extra rooms might not be worth it. It is in our best interest to reduce that overhead so that we reach a state where xp/dungeon and xp/hour is maximized. The rant here is that when I clearly know where a particular door is and heading toward it, I see "1 minute until end" which really annoys me. Especially when I clearly say "dont end"
  5. I like this skill a lot and it is great that Jagex is trying to promote team play and strategy. Whenever I find a good team of mature players, it really makes the whole experience worthwhile. However, there are times when I have to play with selfish and completely ignorant fools who have no idea how the skill works and lack basic decency. Yes, I could play solo, but the xp/hour is much better in the later levels if I do 5:5. Therefore, to maximize my rate of leveling up, I have to play in teams. Here is where the ranting starts with the different kinds of annoying teammates. Resource hoggers: These guys take all the food even though I am the one tanking. They don't share. They also take the armor, yet never step up to be tank. Those who can't read the map: They constantly ask me where I am and what I am doing. It doesnt take a genius to figure that out. They have little memory and tend to just follow me around rather than thinking for themselves. There are plenty of times where splitting up will increase productivity, but these idiots cant seem to figure that out. Naggers: I have high skills and these players constantly bug me to make armor, etc. This is warranted if we were facing a particular boss. But why do you want range armor when you know that we are facing saggitaire? People who dont know about how dung xp works: You get lot more xp for clearing all rooms, but these people just want to beat boss and end. People that don't listen to leader: Part of the leader's responsibility is to lead the team to efficiently complete the dungeon. When I mark a monster, it is for a reason. Please abide by that. Dont kill lvl 3 bats when there is a lvl 90 shade......Also with the skeleton horde, don't hog the mat if you are low level, b/c the higher levels(those that actually kill the skeles) cant get healed. There is such a thing as having too many people fighting the boss. Note: I play in a different timezone that the majority of rs acquaintances, so I resort to world 1.
  6. Umm...that is really weird. When you are selecting a floor, did you scroll down all the way?
  7. Uh, when barrows armour has a drop rate of 1/18 from the chest, and I get 1/300, i THINK that is bad luck and not a "probability thing". Using a two sample hypothesis test for a proportion, with that many observations, I conclude at a 99.9% level of confidence that the true proportion for the chest drop rate is less than 1/18. You are either really unlucky, or that 1/18 figure is wrong.
  8. Yep you are screwed. sorry bro. Try doing floor 18 again. Thats the way to unlock the next floor.
  9. can anyone confirm this? If you solo mage the skeleton hordes from the pad, and never block the tunnels, can you just stay there, blasting away? Provided, you have a fire staff and do the inf coin trick for 30 min, get lots of deaths and airs and stay there. B/c for me, soloing the skeles is pretty easy and skinweaver heals too fast for them to ko you. Will you reach a steady state where you kill them slightly faster than they respawn?
  10. Will you ever train those remaining 4 skills?
  11. i considered fishing for tuna/swordie on karamja and then changing them into notes, selling the swordfishes, and then cook the tuna Lol...cook all of them and then sell it. Why would you forego the xp from swordfish when you got it for free? If you are not 86 cooking, then follow the above method to get to 86 and then cook all that fished swordfish.
  12. I feel that after reaching dung lvl 41, you should either solo or team rush the frozen floors and do 5 man mediums for the abandoned. That way, every time you reset, you gain 3-4 prestige lvls. Floors 27 and above should be 5:5 large. This is to maximize xp per time and minimize # of resets. Once you are 69 dung, I'd say just rush 5:5 smalls all the way. It is so easy and with coordination, I can finish floors in 7 minutes. I feel like large floors have a big variance on the time to finish and plus, it requires that no one logs out, as chances of encountering mime or lever is higher. With small floors, even if someone logs out, you only lose at most 10 min of work rather than 1.2 hours.
  13. Currently, I've got a range/2h'er @ 45cmb 54 range 58 str 2 pray (so stupid) 2 def (misclicked style) 40atk 38 mage Wondering if I should stay a range 2h'er or just str. Also Is training range and mage for hp worth it?
  14. The sighted tank is only good if you have 80+ def and 90+ range and you do armor fights. You will hit very accurately and take little damage. And you'd be at combat 90. 40atk cant touch that kind of def.
  15. Same here. Saw 3 lvl 140ish mages decked out in tier10/11 armor in a large furnished floor for 4. I think they used fire wave/surge and hit 200+.
  16. Ya. The sight is definitely not a training weapon. Better stick to whacking the crop outta something with a scimmy. :) I honestly don't think we'll be getting any faster training weapons anytime soon.
  17. actually i think for lower lvl ranged, sinced they are mostly pures, dont need the accuracy. However, if they were fighting an armored opponent of the same lvl, then it might be beastly. With 99 def wearing nothing, it is very accurate. Pretty much equal to the shortbow because its essentially a 80% hit rate vs a 90% hit rate (with sight) I havent encounter much 40 def pures, but I have seen people with 90+ atk/str with 60 def. They are easy to hit through, but you need the full rune or else they get very accurate high scimmy hits on you. At cmb 107, with 40 def, they prolly have 99 atk and str.
  18. I just got the longbow sight yesterday. Went to free for all clan wars, but it was definitely not what I was expecting.... I thought the +151 range bonus (with dhide coif) would hit through rune armor (at 80 def) at least 50% of the time. Turns out..it's more like 20% However, after extensive testing, against lower def people in armor, it owns. Against higher def people, I have to wear full rune in order to not take too much damage. I guess that is beauty of it. You get to wear full armor, yet the sight still allows you to get +105 range accuracy. Against other rangers of your level, this tactic is deadly. They cant hit you with as much, but you are still accurate enough to get through their dhide.
  19. why is the longbow sight not useful. Imagine the accuracy you get with that? Being able to hit through full rune like it was barely there.
  20. Hey all. I haven't posted here since at least a year. I came back for dungeoneering skill. Anyways, before I left RS, red masks were 18M and I had two of them. I sold both and got smithing to 85 off of steel plates. I came back to find prices skyrocketing and my rares could gave gotten me at least 90 pray or 99 smithing. I guess just rate me for skills. I realize the bank sucks compared to everyone else. This was my 1100 total way back before I quit.
  21. I did a medium dungeon and saw a green dragon. I didn't use a anti-drag shield and speared it to death. I was surprised it dropped dragon bones. I buried it and got 72 xp.
  22. once you get a new odd level, you have to do the floor below that one in order to actually "unlock" the level. So if i am lvl 36 dung and i have done floor 18, if i go to lvl 37, i have to repeat floor 18 in order for the game to unlock floor 19
