Ok good guide, but a few suggestions for melee. I do not recommend level 4 for any melee'ers. It costs too much food. I don't care if you have 99 def, the spiders are much better. For food, do not take lobsters. Again, too expensive. I recommend tuna or my favorite kebabs. Kebabs are awesome and they sometimes heal 16 or more. Spiders and the flesh crawlers are equally good in my opinion. If you are lvl 107 or above, the place with lvl 53 zombies and fleshies are best. Not much competition for this spot and you can stay there for hours. If you are below 107, go for the place with lvl 41 zombies/fleshies. Only the fleshies will attack you and it is a good 30k+ xp/hour at my lvl. The alternative is spiders. The best spider place imo is the one above the lowest lvl catablepons. I stand one step from the wall and fight them until they are non aggressive. Then, i run into the place with catablepons with protect mage on. As soon as the catablepons attack me, i know that the spiders are aggressive. Just run back and turn off prayer. For melee, this is my recommendation. Scorpions have a little more defense than spiders so I do not recommend...even though no one goes there. Please take these suggestions into consideration since I know that this is the best xp/hr for higher lvl melee.

Hey all, It has been a while since my last rate this. I feel like this is special because it is a personal milestone for me. I used to play a lot in high school (a year ago) and now, I just play on holidays. I probably wont be on RS until September now. I went up to 1200 total or so and then the next 34 levels are from college, holiday play, etc. So yesterday morning, I woke up and said, "I don't like this 31 million just sitting around here" I went to GE to buy 76 prayer and right before I clicked buy, I hesitated. I said to myself, what if I got 85 smithing? Would be cool right? That was 8 levels away and that is....A LOT OF XP to go. I said what the heck, I'll be interning next week, so I bought steel bars. Basically I drained my whole bank in hopes of getting 88 smithing for addy plates. 6 hours later, I was at 80. I said, omgwtf and set the goal to 85. And here it is. 2 days of no life - ing. I did eat 3 meals, sleep 7 hours, shower, go outside, etc. the result is The outfit stinks but it is what I wear.

Recently noticed that the cracker has been on the list almost everyday now. Is it because it is finally being traded? or is it just another small update to showcase the most expensive item of the game? If I remember correctly, the top 100 list is for traded items only right? So sometimes blue phats and white phats dont make the list because they arent traded in that 24 hour time span. Now..the cracker is very rare, so are the select few owners making deals to sell for lowest and then buy back at lowest so the GE can lower prices back to some equilibrium?

well...not quite. it is 1.33xp to each stat per hitpoint. 25hp times 1.33 is 33.25xp. the amount of fleshies killed stays the same. however, the other posters are correct in that training individually increases your skill level so that further lvls in other melee skills are easier.

But it's not like investing. When you buy out an item, it naturally goes up. There is no 'risk' in completely buying out an item- if you're able to completely buy out an item, software kicks in and the price naturally rises. This doesn't happen in real life- we're not governed by software. This is why we call this price manipulation, and not investing, not merchanting, not mass investing. As far as speculation is concerned, if you have a hunch that the price will rise and try to profit off of it, then it's ok. When it comes to large groups of people or one person with very deep pockets buying out items, it no longer becomes speculation. These are the people who alter the game and make a price rise in a way that is not natural. So do we change GE or do we punish these price manipulators? Hmm making money without the risk of losing some? Sounds really smart to me. This kind of stuff does happen naturally. Remember Microsoft's bid to buy yahoo. Investors made millions off of it as they surged yahoo stock up. Microsoft basically tried to "buy out" yahoo.

There is nothing wrong with buying out a certain item. I have money and I am not afraid to spend it. You can put a limit on how much I buy in a certain period, but I can still buy up to that limit. Merchants like us are the ones responsible for your profits on numerous items. Remember the last time you bought something at max and it kept going up 5% every day? Do you think that happens regularly in a normal market? No...it is because of speculators like us. What is wrong with getting together with other merchants and planning to buy out an item? We have money to invest and you bet we will invest. Why call it manipulation? Call it mass investing. Maybe we are in a consensus that a certain item will skyrocket and so we help each other out by buying it. I hate how jagex tries to stop investors when they are the ones who put us here in the first place. They started out with tradeable holiday items and loads of ways to make money. Now that we made money...we aren't allowed to make too much more. It is ridiculous. You cant boast about a grand exchange with player controlled markets if the players arent allowed to control it. I am a player and so are the other merchants and we as players would like to control a certain market. That is all.

I have met lots of pkers before and after dec 10 and I must say that only 20% of them are the "good ones". They don't flame constantly and have some decency. The rest are just plain rotten. They keep def low and expect everyone to do that. They call you safer just because you ate an extra food to protect yourself from dying. They use the various kinds of noobs when they are losing.

Wow, TIF has become a hostile place for f2p these days. There used to be a time when we coexisted peacefully. Now that is gone. I think this thread will just get flamed over and over again. Just let it die. There are other forums where we can voice our opinions.

didnt this thread get locked sometime ago? anyway, i think that like console games, there are certain levels of difficulty. IE, halo 3 has a difficulty setting of "legendary" which is pretty hard to beat. Thus, if a player beats the game on legendary, then I see it as a bigger achievement than the player who plays the game on normal. Though the end result is the same, the latter took the easier way. Similarly, there is a difference between f2p and p2p in that f2p restrict themselves to a harder style of gameplay. Thus, a 99 rc'er in f2p had to do a lot more work than a 99 rc'er in p2p.

What the heck is up with all these names? At most it should be Obama, McCain and maybe Nader. None of these other candidates will EVER win the presidency. History has been rather unkind to third parties, let alone these other guys/girls.

its not illegal, but you can be unfairly banned for it. If you really want to give gifts, then make it look like a real battle. Put light armor on, eat food etc. You both fight and take 3-4 lobs. You run out of food. start walking toward exit and "die". Dont just stand there while your friend obliterates you.

FOG gloves are very inefficient if you use teletabs. Unless...you already have fog tokens. By all means, use them if you have them already. Getting 75 tokens should take 50min-1hour at most. But you have to get lots of tokens first. Let me do this calculation discounting the time it takes to get rc tablets. Without fog gloves, 14k xp per hour. That is 2.8k ess crafted. With fog gloves, you spend an hour crafting and an hour for one gloves. That is an extra 5k xp over a total time of 2 hours. If you didnt catch that...lets try this. You get 3 gloves and it takes you about 3 hours to get them. Plus one hour to craft 2.8k ess. You get double the xp, but only half the xp/hour. Fog gloves are worth it only if you can craft 1k ess/hr or less. Before rc guild, you could craft 1k ess/hour so you had the choice btwn an hour of FOG vs. an hour more of rcing. But now, it is inefficient.
