  1. Ya there is a 80+ clan that attracts a lot of skillers for 2x xp.
  2. Yeah, it's not much of a difference but that 5k/hr adds up over the 13M Xp it takes to get 99. It's still good Xp/hr, and, as I said before, excellent when you add the fact that you're banking ores while doing it. Yeah, it really adds up fast. Powermining at 35k exp/h would take 350 hours from 70-99. Banking would take 410 hours. That's a difference of 60 hours, or 17%. I for one would not like to spend 17% more time on a skill that I really hate. Then again, power mining is also a fair bit more borring then banking so I'd have to test it to see if the speed was worth the price. The 350,000 ores it takes from 75-99 would equate to 78.75M which is a whole lot of money even for a person like me who has a lot already. With these values, it's closer to 1.3M gp/h that you'd have to make in order to have power mining be 'worth it' just in terms of getting a 99 as well as 80M. Of course, if you're planning on making money after 99 mining, you might as well mine rune which can make nearly that much. So I guess it's all up to personal preference; powermine and mine rune later, or just bank all your ores and sell them. I like the calculations and it makes sense. Of course, your inputs must be valid in order for the output to make sense. The inputs here are the xp/hour for powermining and banking. The former...is easier to figure out an average that you can use for lvl 75-99. The latter....not so much. Someone extrapolated the figure 29.4k/hour based on one inventory. That, my friends, is just plain silly. That number is significantly lower b/c of competition. I don't think you can be at the spot in dwarven mines for too long without interruptions. In the long term, the xp/hour drops down to 22.5k/hour (tested). For powermining, it averages more 41k/hour at hobgoblins mines at the 4 rocks on a bounty world. I have personally been there for 85-87 and this was the figure that I obtained.
  3. I am also very scared of pvp. It seems like I can never hit accurately. And ppl with 70 def, 99 str, 80 atk hit through my armor like it wasnt there.... I only use low level pures for my monthly pvp satisfaction.
  4. yeah...that's because it hunted's levels are extremely low....and mage hits through armor and dhide as if it wasnt there.
  5. exactly. Mages need snare and wave spells. That would allow hits up to 220 or so (with arcane ammy) and 2 decent hits in between a snare. Right now, the only thing that beats full rune is another full runer.
  6. yesterday i didnt get it, but today, my hamper contain 2 pizza, 2 swordfish, 1 lobster and 1 tuna. edit: heh, the hamper cannot be banked, but the food taken out can, hohoho... good mine contained 2 pizzas, 2 sword, 3 lobs :) Bought anchovies and sold the anchovy pizzas for 1.3k ea
  7. No, you won't get the exp advantage if the skiller isn't in your team at the end of the floor. Oh I see.
  8. You don't even need the skiller to be in the dungeon the entire time. If you duo with a skiller, he/she just needs to be under your team (not leader), you start the dungeon, even if they leave immediately, the dungeon is still a 2:2 with average cmb lvl of less than 90. That can totally be abused....Talk about paying lvl 3's 10k to do that for you. You could totally have something like w16 airs, where skillers join you and leave and gain 10k/15min.
  9. Staying strictly on topic from an indian viewpoint (Remember: Indians and Muslims don't really get along. If you need a history refresher...wikipedia it) A few points: The cultural community center is not at Ground Zero. It is 2 blocks away. A 2 block radius from there is actually a decent distance, because it is in the heart of NYC and there's so much stuff(stores, buildings, etc) between Ground Zero and the proposed location. I actually worked a block from G0 this summer and it is a considerable distance. The guys who are building it are doing it legally and have purchased the property and will comply with local and state building codes. They have freedom of religion. This has been debated a lot in this thread and I am sure everyone agrees that they have the "right" to build it. Those who are against it, are arguing the following: Sake of the 9/11 families Sources of funding Islam = terrorist, Mosque = Islam => spawns terrorists First, the 9/11 families are not some unique and special group that deserve special treatment. It has been 9 years. Get over it. Millions of people around the world mourn the wrongful deaths of their loved ones. Shyat happens. I personally have friends destroyed by people of that religion, yet I sit here arguing for them. There is a limit to everything. The 9/11 families need to wake up and sense that the mosque people are not the same guys on 9/11. They are of the same religion. Only thing is, there are a handful of people who hijack that religion to do terrible things. If you travel the world, you will come to realize that what you see in American media is not the same as what you see before your eyes. Second, the middle east funds many mosques outside the region. Why? It promotes their religion. Who doesnt like that? After all, that's what all religions do right? To gather followers. Just because it comes from middle east, does not automatically equal terrorism. Third, and this one is probably why most people disapprove. They dont perceive this religion as what it is and what it means to billions to followers around the world. A vast majority of them are peaceful people who by generational inheritance have believed in that religion for thousand of years. It is just that a vast majority of news regarding the religion is negative and misrepresents them. From my knowledge of the civil rights movement of the US, it appalls me that we can be so backward. What if there is a large group of blacks that get transfered to your school district? Would people oppose that because it would lower the standardized test scores for that district and thus result in less grants for that school district? No, that would be racism. There is a high chance that test scores would lower, but not many would oppose it. This is kinda the same issue. When you judge an entire group by the actions of a few, you end up in the same scenario. Those who say, they should just build it elsewhere...How is that going to happen? They already bought the land. It was dirt cheap real estate. The way I see it, no one purposely said "Yo guys, lets build this mosque near ground zero and piss off a bunch of people.haha." They probably looked for land around manhattan and saw this to be the cheapest/best bang for the buck.
  10. Ordinarily, I'd agree. But with this sort of injustice to our people....
  11. I have done that. Its just like soloing but I get the full xp I am entitled to. Judge me however u like.. I don't care. ;) how much do you get on average on a duo small and duo med?
  12. Have you tested the xp per hour on spiders yet? I have tested rapier. It comes out to about the same as scimmy. Of course, the difference is so close that I cant conclude anything. I have not tested the 2h on spiders. Loss of the kiteshield is hard on the food.

  14. Sonic was talking about reducing the xp for ALL f2p. Jagex has only said that they won't remove the 50% xp reduction for 90+. With what sonic is saying, it will lessen the reliance of skillers. Yes, it was posted before, but I'll repost it because I liked the authors opinion on the matter: Move construction to complexity 4. Limit free to play to complexity 3. Done. This: Removes members doors in f2p Gives all players a -40%(forget actual figure) nerf on exp - replacing the exp cap for 90+. I'd also like the question emilie's (and Jagex's) stance on high free to play hitting harder than the f2p monster level cap. I'll tell you, a team of 5:5 97-119 combat facing celestial forgotton mage's or Primal warrior + Megaleather archer in the same room is not easy. Wait, wouldn't that reduce both prestige and base xp ? We also would get no bonus rooms on c3. You are just stacking up negative bonuses with that approach.
  15. There should a program that crawls the highscores and spits out a list of those who are 100% f2p. We, the players, can maintain it on our own. That way, we can always compare ourselves fairly. For sure, it'd be a motivator for me. Rank 670,000 doesn't feel too good. :)
  16. Very nice. 7/10 How do you get GOP tokens? 50:50? Or just a lot of w61 luck?
  17. Powermining is still the fastest for xp/hour. Try hobgoblin mines. I get a peak of 39k/hour there. Mine all, drop all. That area(falador) is too crowded for any efficiency.
  18. That's why I always suggest against dunging with skillers - too much hassle and complication involved. Jagex really, really needs to fix the skiller problem. So we're getting MORE exp with 1 or more (or 4, in the case of top f2pers) leeching in the main room doing nothing? This basically defeats the purpose of what dungeoneering is really for. I plead you Jagex, nerf the experience for all f2pers. The thing is, for me, the "hassle" is well worth the reward of hacking through monsters like they were butter while almost doubling the xp for myself Sonic was talking about reducing the xp for ALL f2p. Jagex has only said that they won't remove the 50% xp reduction for 90+. With what sonic is saying, it will lessen the reliance of skillers.
  19. Btw, anyone notice that when you try to dung with skillers, if the skiller is leader, then you don't get double xp? You have to have the cmb'er be leader for that exploit to work.
  20. Hes also lvl 90+... 10k from a floor? were you on member world? (under your name it says your members) Same question....I only get 10k+ on a med if I can doing 5:5 and we get no mem doors whatsoever. Really hard to believe that you get that much on a solo.
  21. He used values for strength and attack on the rapier being equal which they are not. Of course if you figure two weapons having equal attack and equal strength bonuses but one hits faster you will come out with the faster one being better. However, that is not the case. One is faster but has lower attack and strength bonuses. The result being that, although it hits faster it still does less damage per hour. Your refusal to use correct data would seem to indicate that you have no interest is uncovering the truth, but rather would pursue a flawed line of logic to reinforce your flawed presupposition that the rapier is superior. Either that or you yourself are simply trolling. How so? Can you show us some figures?
  22. It is noticeably slow. I trained 15k pray xp at Hill Giants (which seems to take an eternity) and I only used up 15% of the charge.
  23. If you can, get the scroll of efficiency. It substantially lowers the cost of bar smithing. Otherwise just superheat stuff. If you are going to use the SoE, do iron plates & alch. The lower "tier" the bar, the more bars saved. Agreed. Take iron for example. Basically, you save one bar per 4 platebodies smithed. That is 5% saved. Or if you choose to smith platelegs (or any 3 bar item), it is 8.3% saved. Steel: 1 bar per 5 platebodies => 4% saved 1 bar per 5 platelegs => 6.7% saved Mithril 1 bar per 10 platebodies => 2% saved 1 bar per 10 platelegs => 3.33% For f2p, Over the course of the road to 99 smithing, if you buy iron bars and smith platelegs, you save 15m. If you do platebodies, it is around 10m. I'd say that once you are comfortable with dung tokens, if you can afford 20k, then go for it. It is a one time fee, so might as well get it. Because there is not really a connection between dung tokens and gp (ie, saving 20k tokens for that gravite recharge is not going to translate to higher income for most people. exception is really really good pkers) If you have enough tokens, you could replace your maple bow with grav short. It's is more accurate, especially for higher level monsters.
  24. Interesting... then i guess ill buy the 2h once i get the freakin tokens... I was basically going off what the other people have said about the chaotic weapons.. but haven't heard much from the f2p crowd chaotic is a different animal. For gravite, it is just not worth it. Only the 2h is a real reward. The kicker...is the baxe speed.
