These armours are set to get a bonus later on. Ad nex sets have a slight bonus damage for using the whole set which is just a touch more for dps, but nothing on defense. Other than that both are pretty equal.

So base ships stats for one specialization would be 3800 right? Plus 5 x 1800 (I figure 1800 because generally things get harder to level by then)... That's a total of 12800. So with a 20k stat voyage that's pretty stiff. Roughly a 66% chance ball parking it...

Remember say increases are on a percent scale. So crew base stats for the bowl are 1000 and start out at minimum gaining 100 in the stat. Pincer crew vase stats start out at 1200 and start out gaining at minimum 120 in the stat. My question is what does a level 5, 6, and 7 pincer crew base stats look like? Times that by 5 and you'll have a good idea if its much more harsher than the ther transitions or on par.

I would agree with this if they didn't immediately hide the trails he so boldly blazed. Hell, I do respect him for doing just this and being the first(?) one to solo Corp. Even then using a definition is subject to the context of the situation. If you were to play a much more involving game as fad as PVM such as WoW it would be so much harder to make clear boundaries for emergent game play. My point really is that runescape is starting to lose that blockiness it has as far as combat goes. You are going to see a lot more emergent game play such as what's come up. At the moment nothing much has come up, but I can imagine a few ideas... Such as using the bleed abilities while kiting bosses. Eve then runescape does retain some of its blockiness sadly.

How does one tell when the discussion value goes from genuine to plain rabid babbling with the occasional foaming at the mouth? Seriously? I don't even know woox, but he certain ain't bug abusing... Jagex ain't brown-nosing him either. The most they did was give him a proverbial pat in the back for his emergent game play. Most specifically they consistently do this because he forges ahead of most to test the grounds. Jagex might be the ones who lay the path for players to walk... That path might not be so obvious to everyone too. But don't blame woox for using what's at his disposal to push the limits.

Well it would be nice to get some stats from an actual jmod. I mean I couldn't honestly see a 1% bonus to trade goods really being added as statistical number in the live game coming from an intelligent being. I mean this wouldn't even be be effective for spice voyages where you get like 20 spice... That's still 1/5 of one spice gained. I think it would be much more understandable to see the totem offering 15% trade goods. You could do one totem on a 5 trade good mission as get 6 back. Or you could do one totem/trader and get 7. Then maybe even have stacked totems for two totems and a trader giving 8. Catch my drift? Well anyways I did a random and got 3x crew rerolls from it. I got no scroll voyages today which makes me sad. I suppose ill concentrate on my luxurious bar...

If its an unsanctioned mechanic to the boss fight its not a bug. ^ that is exactly te mind set of jagex as far as bugs. This means that if a player can walk a boss to prevent damage, stun it to prevent an attack or use an unsanctioned safe sports all fair game and within the parameters. Parameters being within the obvious rules of interaction between the gamer and the game. Something such as duplicating items or smuggling things out of darmonhiem is clearly outside the parameters. Why does it feel like I'm arguing to the extent and seriousness of a legal proceeding? I mean this is why I stared before elsewhere that we need to maintain a level of novelty in regards to the game and its community as well.

No he's good at playing the game by its parameters... Just as good as you guys are good at whining. Anyone else would safe spot, dance, push, etc. a boss because its withi the games parameters. The obvious difference here is woox was testing the random chance to see how long it took to get a solo kill without the one shot KO move. That was done and over with now that they fixed things. Give the guy credit not based solely on his feats, but his wits too. Jagex has honestly never made a full fledged boss that required real teamwork up until the fix they made.

Well I can't argue that they seemingly turned their backs on the wilderness community. I can say that I've been there and done that as far as a pk/war-fairing clan member in the past when the wilderness actually mattered (post-bounty hunter crater). One thing I liken the collective emotive response in all of their addressing to the wilderness issue is someone with sorrow-filled eyes who knows its their own fault yet all the can do is try to open their mouth in silent objection, but not utter a word. I get it though and I feel for them. They have a lot of variables to interpret their interactions between each other. They want the "game" played how it should and not gold-farmed or abused to death. It's no easy feat for them and I can see that they might eventually come to a close with the issue its just a matter of sacrifice, but what might get thrown out has yet to be determined I suppose.

Not true. With the generous trade-good rewards, you will have the materials long before you have all the armour scrolls. Those missions are one-offs... You honestly think that? After those one offs the pincer voyages you get for armour trade goods should only max out at 4 per right. I believe the duo adventurer storyline voyages give 25 trade goods and the trips give 50.

I'm not attacking you or anything, but I just largely is agree with everything you had to say. I'm going to start with your second point because my first. And primary point, is much more larger and interesting... From this introduction of monthly Solomon items I feel that jagex is on the move to push him out the door I think as a serious monetary gain. Then again it could be a half hearted sales ploy tacked onto their promised action to pull back on sgs/sof banterings. I'm fairly certain that this is what they are after and doing what they've done gives them the option to allow members (who don't want to pitch in) at least some chance at getting something from sgs they like... Even though there is a good chance it won't actually be a selection of items. My first and primary point is that I feel they shouldn't give up on the wilderness because it is so deeply engrained in the games lore as well as its actual history. If anything they should planner a dungeoneering-esque type way of gaining bonus experience there. I mean I feel that things such as brawler gloves gave players great incentive to step into the wilderness. I would imagine if jagex took serious steps to overlook and redesign abandoned settlements and areas for all skills... Combat, cooking, fishing, woodcutting, mining, etc. they could make it work. I would ideally like to see the wilderness as an area where people can choose to skill, even with unsafe banks, and for every hours worth of xp you got you gained a percentage of bonus xp immediately and then another tenth of your original xp gains banked to be used much like with the hati equipment. I feel that the bonus xp saved should be limited as well to maybe 1m xp? I suppose jagex could even design a system to let people "steal" a percentage of their bonus xp if they successfully killed them. To prevent selling off kills I think jagex would first have to cap the percentages at a low enough rate as well as how many "steals" they can make a day. So maybe they could only get 10% max per kill and the cutoff was 5 kills. I would also suppose that the bonus xp would have to be locked to that skill, too. This would also keep people's interests locked into what they are doing in the wilderness and when they transition into the safe zone. No one wants someone going into the wilderness doing bonfires for 8 hours for a week getting 350k xp/hr. then they turn around and go slay and get all tha back I slay xp. Then again during these times I bet everyone would love that lol.

Personally I don't care for farming the scrolls. I mean ideally you'll be hunting for the materials long after you've obtained all of the scrolls... Let alone just the ones you've wanted. So honestly its better of to just go with the flow really. Get the scrolls you want the most first the keep working at it even if you are at the pincers. Ill be lucky to get even 4/12 of the sea singer scrolls before the pincers open up for me, but whatever - fine! I plan on spending the same amount of time I did getting where I am to just get the materials to make the sets (and probably even more!).

Oh god please spare us. If you want to discuss this that in depth and with such strength, conviction and point-driven evidence please by all means go to the meta-game sub forum. I hate seeking people go all "TL;DR" but when faced with such a serious in-depth post with such conviction such as that I can't help, but to ask for it. We are playing a minigame... There is a level of novelty here that should not be passed. Edit: and sady I had to even go to dictionary.com to make sure I was using the right word when making the statement about the novelty of ports. It's like some of societies "unspoken" rules... Just don't do it!

Thinking of buying the pristine warehouse the getting the luxurious bar next so I get the cherry wood for the bar and totems faster. Send my last tetsu set scroll voyage out at 83% and wasn't quite happy with that success rate.
