  1. the scrolls or the actual armor?! if then armor then how? ~~~legoman187~~~ The scroll mate... Sorry I know everyone is dying to see pictures of it. Edit: Just successfully completed a 600 jade special voyage. 1500/10000 jade down. Working on 3k bamboo and 3k slate to finish up my lodging upgrades.
  2. Just finished tetsu laminar. Plan on working up for tetsu legs now.
  3. End game in runescape - because of its pure lack of central focus on one aspect of the game; namely pvm, is what it is. The end of the game is nex for pvmers. After that you start getting into all that pseudo meta end-game... You know those videos where the player is dancing jad, spam clicking veng and waiting for it to pop. Then once it does he lets jad hit a +900. Eventually that player ends up killing him purely with veng, yeah that stuff... That's the runescape version of end game. True end game for pvmers is nex and eventually the kalphite king.
  4. In before Umi becomes a lore-telling person to recount the story line ventures within your port. Let the sad faces begin!
  5. I'd like to see a bit of variety like this within tiers. Say, you have one set that's the 'balanced'/basic/unremarkable one, a set that's more offensively-inclined, a defensive one, and one that has a unique set effect. I know it would make for bad PR doing that, but WoW honestly got it right for the most part here. The next step for runescape is facilitating the need for tanks and DPSers. The best way honestly is probably by introducing a stun canceling ability with their next boss. For all we know the KK could be that boss. Maybe he will require being stunned and the use of that aggro grabbing ability... Incite right? Maybe then with the aggro he'll fling his AOE at him reducing the overall damage.
  6. Very little content depth wise, but spread out in several months time.
  7. Well, you are forced to get jade for the new crew anywaysSo i guess its better to try 9 voyages a day for jade instead of 6 and doing lower regions at least until all the new crew is obtained Or you could do two jade voyages and use the third on collecting resources for the lodgings to get better chances on crew.
  8. I get the feeling that you wouldn't criticise Jagex even if they decided to wipe your stats and delete your bank. As much as I usually agree with your views it's getting tiresome to see that you somehow think yourself better than others for not uttering a bad word about Jagex. If you love them, that's fine, but snide remarks about people that have genuine gripes with the game is just petty. Honestly it takes a lot. Personally I do have bad thoughts about jagex. I used to be a pmod at one point. Due to certain unforeseen events they demodded me and flagged my account as a risk without further inspection of the issue. I felt devalued and that their team wasn't doing their job. Further more I don't feel the need to prove myself to you or anyone for how I feel. As far as content development goes I feel they are doing to the best of their ability. I try to keep my negatives gives to myself and they do exist. Yeah ok, I'll give you a sampler and admit i feel the developers biggest concern should be communication. There are should be a concept to how gear is obtained and eventually used in te game. The first inkling of this was their blurb talking about how players will need the level 80 gear to get the level 90 gear. There should be a progression... Fight GWD bosses to get gear to fight nex, fight nex to get gear to fight the KK, etc. Personally I hope jagex makes a ton more gear untradable like with port gear. Only this time from bosses. With the new grouping system coming its something I can feel is coming eventually. Sure jagex prides themselves on being an all around game so we will see slightly weaker versions hitting the market too. Happy?
  9. That's ok I failed one too. As the saying goes "shit happens" and so maybe it was the seafarers fault. Maybe he got a rough bit of sleep the night before? Lol
  10. Duh... That is their goal - minus the grind. The idea is to go through some level of progression and their concept for that currently is to largely hinder, yet not completely exclude, the money making crowd.
  11. Honestly exponential numbers on gear seems like a good way of keeping gear value. Looking at a progression from rune, dragon, barrows, gwd, chaotic and nex gear you can see the value from one extreme end of the spectrum to the other. What hard to determine is the value per plot point. I think exponential value will make the value of armor further stick out. My reasoning is because making a consistent jump in defense is rather bland and somewhat unnoticed. A jump from rune to dragon might be say 250 total defense. Yet the jump from dragon to barrows might be 600 total defense. Also on another note creating branch off gear is another great idea. Things like this force "dead content" into relife or create value for items thought slightly obsolete. So now a level 60 item will still be sought after by higher levels. I suppose we may even end up seeing a level 85 claw item and later a higher level addition.
  12. I think exponential increase in armor is fine. Crit weapons are fine. The issue is making armor that gives crit, but makes you "squishy". Meaning armor for offense should have o<d. Armor for defense should have d<o which is how it is now with little or no offense capabilities.
  13. I think the chaotic addition to claws is a good step. I personally can't wait to see an addition to the spear as well. I would also like to see a one hand chaotic crush weapon to fill in the wholes in that tier. Other than these comments I'm keeping my mouth shut on the issue. It seems that a large amount of the community is whimpering and moaning - if not that, then they are trying to tear down someone else's viewpoints. I'm here regardless of what they do. So long as there is interesting gameplay I have little else to say.
  14. Nautical shipwright: Next one up is going to be refurbished lodgings and daredevil lodgings. Also working on my 28th story voyages for the assassin.

  16. So far it's been 120 jade. I meant plates/chi/lacquar, got any of those yet? None shown yet, but my guess would easy be 3. Also bought the nautical shipwright. Plan on focusing on bamboo and slate for the renovated lodgings upgrade. Then ill waste more time buying the daredevil lodgings after that too. I guess my cherry wood stock will be dead by then. Ill probably return to camping the scythe while floating one or two bowl voyages.
  17. So far it's been 120 jade.
  18. 2/6 bowl story voyages done so far.
  19. In the bowl and working on the fourth ship. Fun stuff... Except the times. Next after that is the rudder I guess even though its boost from scythe to bowl in speed is crap compared to the earlier version.
  20. Honestly 6 of each in morale, seafaring, and combat. After that one merchant for the end when you want to slightly risk it for greater returns. It ends up being worth it because you'll almost never go under 80%. Also you always want one solidarity unit per ship. These units are what pull in massive percentage on multiple spec missions. The rest can be extra merchants, fortune or special units however you might like. As far as my progress I just unlocked the bowl. Nothing more satisfying than unlocking an area and finding story voyages added to your list :D. I also have over 10k cherry wood and plan on having enough for at least two totems before being strictly on the bowl. If these two story voyages pass ill be 25/36 from complete.
  21. I would say yes. I think it's a generally bad idea to make high end skilling profitable. It further separates the elite from the mid level players. Levels 1-70 need to be more profitable, but that's not possible with the bot problem. I disagree. The higher level you go the more desire for the item from the community. Generally in a progressive game the further you get the more resources it takes to get further along - and thats a good thing. I think the whole "separating the elite" argument is a bit more on the whiny side than it needs to be and reasoning within it is baseless. The only on base point that helps the argument is that generally these things should be untradable after a point. I mean yeah ok maybe the weapons themselves could be made untradable, but how about leaving the resources for repair tradable. This gives pvmers the spotlight in the show while letting people make some money off the repair items. Heck they could even make the repair items untradable and open up a pseudo market with the assist system letting people repair for them at a cost. They've mentioned they wanted or said it was possible to rework the assist system to allow currency trade for assists.
  22. I think you could still get some nice high end rewards (if you have max storage) if you use one or two of the basic trait rewards before doing the randoms. You jut won't get all three, but one or two.
  23. Tutsu laminar scroll 3/4 Also I am very close to the fourth ships requirements for cherry wood. I should hit it and then I'll have to piggyback scythe voyages with bowl voyages until then.
